The county educated youth office is an old two-story building.
The most eye-catching thing is the slogans everywhere on the walls.
The hall of the Youth League Office was bustling with people, most of whom were young people with either nervous or excited expressions.
There were also a few people who looked like cadres standing in the hall, trying to persuade the parents of the educated youth with earnest words.
As soon as Zhang Hongcheng walked into the door, he heard a quarrel coming from the second floor.
The people downstairs and in the corridor just looked curiously in the direction of the sound, and then went back to their own business.
Apparently, they were so accustomed to the disputes that occurred here that they had become immune to them.
Zhang Hongcheng found a staff member who had just received several educated youth.
"Hello, comrade. My sister was one of the educated youth sent to Northeast China on July 16th. Where is the leader in charge of this group of educated youth?"
The staff member kindly pointed to the office on the second floor where the quarrel had just taken place.
"Wait a few minutes before going over. Section Chief Li is in a bad mood today."
But Zhang Hongcheng did not follow the staff's kind advice, but went straight up the stairs.
Because he found that the group of people who were walking down from upstairs with angry faces were Du Gang and Chen Beilei.
"This is simply too much!"
Pulling Zhang Hongcheng to the outside of the Youth League Office, Jian Yongqi was so angry that he kept cursing.
"Originally, Chen Beilei and Lu Yan had been notified to go to Leizhou, but the county's Youth League Office temporarily transferred them to Jilin Province!"
After hearing what Jian Yong said, Zhang Hongcheng also felt that what the Youth League Office did was a bit weird.
Chen Beilei and Lu Yan were notified half a month in advance that they would be going to Leizhou, further south.
The family probably prepared clothes and bedding according to the climate in Leizhou.
But now there are only five or six days left before departure, but they have suddenly been moved to a place covered in snow and ice. This not only makes their families waste the supplies they prepared before, but also they have to rush to get cotton, cotton clothes and so on.
Winter in Northeast China is no joke.
There is simply not enough time and money.
Besides, which girl from the south would be willing to go outside the Great Wall?
Lu Yan wiped away her tears.
"This is Li's revenge! I'm going to sue him!"
Everyone was indignant and talking at once, but Du Gang privately explained the whole story to Zhang Hongcheng.
Speaking of it, this sudden incident has a certain causal relationship with Zhang Hongcheng.
The county held a meeting to try Liu Haijun and She Meihua, and Chen Beilei and others went to watch the fun.
At the conference venue, they met a group of people who graduated from East District Middle School.
The leader of this group was a young man named Li Changzheng, who had met Lu Yan once through an introduction.
But Lu Yan didn't like men who were "too active", so she didn't like him, but Li Changzheng held a grudge against Lu Yan from then on.
Li Changzheng discovered that Lu Yan was also present at the scene. He wanted to go over and ridicule her, but he fell in love with Chen Beilei who was beside Lu Yan.
The two sides did not quarrel at that time, but the next day Li Changzheng's family sent someone to visit Chen Beilei.
Li Changzheng was about to be demoted, and the Chen family was unwilling to do so.
Even though Li Changzheng's uncle said he would help arrange for the two of them to be sent to a more relaxed place, Chen Beilei refused to agree.
It just so happened that because of the incident between Liu Haijun and She Meihua, the authorities cracked down on youth trends, and as a result, several immoral couples were caught.
As time went by, there were several vacancies in the quota for educated youth who were supposed to be sent to the Northeast.
Chen Beilei and others inexplicably appeared on the vacancy list.
After some inquiries from Du Jun and his friends, they found out that Section Chief Li from the County Youth League Office was Li Changzheng's uncle.
"You guys came to the County Youth League Office to have a quarrel?"
Zhang Hongcheng felt that these people were too naive.
Jian Yong seemed to understand what Zhang Hongcheng meant.
"The people from the factory's Youth League Office said it was Section Chief Li's idea. We were so angry we came over to ask him, but he kept saying we were slandering him!"
Zhang Hongcheng shook his head, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
"You haven't noticed yet. This is the factory's Youth League Office deliberately shirking responsibility."
Chen Beilei stared at Zhang Hongcheng with tears in her eyes.
"So what do you think we should do?"
"That's easy. I can go back and ask my parents to go to the factory and make trouble. The factory will naturally go to the resident educated youth office to make trouble for them."
"You are all children of workers. The Youth League Office should compensate you for the losses you have incurred! No one has surplus food, right? We also need cotton-padded jackets, quilts, cotton shoes, gloves, and so on."
"Time is so tight. If the Youth League Office can't handle it, how can we expect ordinary families like us to handle it ourselves?"
"If they say they can't handle it, then you can just say you can only go to support the construction in the south. After all, everyone in the north and south is a GM."
"It's just two words: money!"
Du Gang asked hesitantly.
"What if they really give it to me?"
"Give?" Zhang Hongcheng laughed. "Do you know how many people in the county are sent down every year? Apart from the standard train ticket price, they don't dare to ask for it. And I'm sure they don't have the money!"
Lu Yan was still indignant.
"That guy surnamed Li is full of big ideas."
Zhang Hongcheng still smiled.
"They were the ones who caused this temporary adjustment. If they were to lecture you and ask you to overcome it on your own, you should let Section Chief Li's relatives, friends, and children take the lead in overcoming it first."
"If he likes to talk about morals, let the factory union come and talk to him."
Several people blinked.
Yes, the union in the factory is the most powerful.
As long as the parents unite and make a fuss, the trade union must come forward to talk to the Youth League Office.
