Luoshanji Street.
The colorful lights are mixed with material desires.
Just walking through a short 500-meter block, you can get a glimpse into the drunken and dreamy lives of many people.
There are wealthy men with big bellies hugging girls in front of the hotel, and prostitutes posing and trying to attract customers on the street.
A biker gang covered in metal lumps whizzed past, and behind a trash can, two homeless men were fighting each other for half a piece of bread, causing them to bleed.
And those objects lying motionless in the dark corners of the alleys, but still breathing, are all drug addicts that no one pays attention to.
The police car stopped at the entrance of the hotel. Two policemen held coffee in their hands and did not even look towards the alley.
It wasn't until a man in a windbreaker holding up his hat passed by that one of the old policemen suddenly became alert.
But the police officer still did not react until the man disappeared into the dark street in the distance.
"Damn it, Jim, I think we might have missed a good one."
"Come on, Thomson," shrugged Jim's companion, "he's just an Oriental. The possibility of him committing any crime is too low."
"Besides, the coffee provided by the hotel is good. I don't want to delay my coffee time just to send a yellow-skinned guy to the police station."
Old Thomson stared fiercely at the direction where the man disappeared.
"Jim, you know what I'm going to say?!"
"Okay, Thomson, put away your sixth sense," Jim patted his police car speechlessly, "You've been retired for thirty years, and you'll be retiring next year."
Thomson shook his head. He always had a feeling.
He had seen this kind of Oriental people before, so where was they...?
.....
A noisy bar.
The oriental man in the windbreaker sat in a seat on the west side.
He ordered a glass of wine and drank it slowly, as if he was killing time alone in the boring night.
When the glass was half empty, his eyes seemed to casually sweep over the old-fashioned wall clock behind the bar counter.
Eight twenty-one.
The man in the windbreaker slowly stood up and walked towards the restroom of the bar.
There was vomit everywhere near the bar's bathroom, and the smell of alcohol and stench mixed together was quite irritating to the sense of smell.
Walking around a man and a woman who were fiercely biting each other in the corner of the toilet, the man in the windbreaker lightly came to the back door of the bar and quickly came to the narrow alley behind the bar.
There are no lights in the alley, and you can only vaguely see the environment in the alley by relying on the lights of the distant buildings.
The oriental man walked thirteen steps to the west, reached out his hand and touched somewhere in the corner of the wall, and pinched a small piece of paper in his hand.
"Don't move~!"
The sound of a bullet being loaded suddenly came from behind him.
The blond man and woman who had just been kissing each other by the toilet were standing behind him with cold expressions.
The two Brownings emitted a cold light in the night.
"Slow down, sir, take what's in your hand. Yes, this piece of paper. That's my little cutie."
The man in the windbreaker obediently threw the note to the other party.
The blonde woman opened the note with one hand and found that there were only two identical Chinese characters written on it.
"Tell me, what does this word mean?"
The man in the windbreaker smiled.
“It’s just a simple onomatopeia.”
“Pronounced [bang] [bang].”
The sound of the gunshot coming from the silencer was in perfect sync with the words coming out of the man's mouth.
The two blond men and women collapsed to the ground without a word.
A handsome middle-aged oriental man appeared on the wall behind them.
The two men had no intention of searching the bodies on the ground, but instead cooperated with each other to evacuate quickly.
"Old Crow, you were lying in ambush just now. Did you see the other members of the Meilika operation?"
The handsome middle-aged man shook his head.
"I observed you repeatedly for a long time, especially when you left the back door and started walking west. I observed you again. These two people must have come to explore the way, but they wanted to make a contribution..."
The two retreated a full kilometer before choosing a park bench to sit on.
The handsome middle-aged man nicknamed Old Crow looked around and began to ask questions.
"There are still two days until the meeting. What happened over there that requires me to come out right away?"
The man in the windbreaker smiled, looking relaxed.
"The higher-ups have drawn up a new plan. It's a bit risky, but it can significantly shorten the duration of your mission."
"Whether or not to switch to a new plan requires your own judgment of the risks and success rate."
The old crow sighed.
"I know what the higher-ups are thinking. I'm not opposing such a drastic plan because I value my life, but if I die, I'm afraid this wealth won't be able to be returned to China."
"Even if it succeeds, I'm afraid about 30% of the wealth will be directly lost."
The man in the windbreaker was still looking around.
"His grandfather was the person who managed the shipment of gold overseas before liberation. However, he killed his companions and embezzled the public funds. He changed his name and has been in hiding until today."
"After further analysis, the higher-ups realized the possibility of getting everything back wasn't high, so they changed the backup plan."
"If you cooperate, the new plan will be launched on Hong Kong Island, where your chances of survival will be greatly improved."
Old Crow looked at the man in the windbreaker in confusion.
"A new plan? What happened?"
The man in the windbreaker laughed bitterly.
"I want to congratulate you first, your daughter is pregnant."
