Chapter 436: Sky-high Price Dinner! A World of Difference!

The motorcade didn't go far; a few minutes later, it stopped steadily in front of the magnificent arched gate of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, one of Hong Kong Island's landmarks. The brightly lit lobby entrance looked even more luxurious and distinguished under the night sky.

As soon as the Rolls-Royce came to a complete stop, the executives and waiters who had been waiting in line at the hotel entrance immediately bowed in unison, their gestures so respectful that they were almost humble.

Leading the group was General Manager Johnson, a foreigner with immaculately combed hair and a sharp suit. Although he tried to maintain composure, the beads of sweat on his forehead and his slightly rapid breathing betrayed his inner nervousness. He and several key executives hurried forward, almost opening the car door for Lin Huowang before the doorman could.

"Mr. Xiaolin! We are honored to have you here! A warm welcome!" Johnson tried to keep his voice steady, yet a subtle hint of tension and awe could still be heard. "The restaurant has been cleared in full compliance with your request. We promise that you and your distinguished guests will enjoy the most private and comfortable dining environment tonight. Your presence will bring honor to Mandarin Oriental!"

When his eyes quickly swept over the five dazzling beauties who got off the car right behind Lin Huowang, his heart was shocked like a storm.

Especially when he saw Lin Huowang acting very naturally, even with a hint of imperceptible protective desire, and personally walked around to the passenger seat to open the door for Liu Rumeng and gentlemanly supported her elbow, the last doubt in Johnson's heart completely disappeared - this Miss Liu, is definitely the one with the most special position in the new boss's heart!

Lin Huowang simply nodded in response to this respectful reception, his face adorned with Kobayashi Tianwang's signature indifferent smile. He said nothing more. He calmly gestured "please" to the five beauties, then took a half-step forward, leading them into the warm, luxurious hotel lobby, shimmering with crystal chandeliers.

The heavy carved glass revolving door turned silently, like a huge golden vortex, instantly isolating the noisy spotlights outside the door, the unwilling shouting, and the faces of paparazzi who were trying to break in and were blocked by bodyguards and security guards, completely into another world.

Outside, the paparazzi's futile jostling and anxious gazes echoed, while inside, there was a quiet, flowing stream of warm light, a mirror-smooth marble floor, and a faint floral fragrance in the air. Inside and outside the door, at this moment, became two completely different worlds.

Lin Huowang nodded slightly, and walked calmly into the hotel lobby with the five women, completely isolating them outside the carved glass revolving door from the spotlights behind him and the reporters who were shouting in vain trying to rush into the hotel.

Just as Lin Huowang and others entered the elevator and reached the top floor, the catering director who had been waiting at the restaurant entrance was immediately pulled aside by the general manager.

The general manager lowered his voice, speaking at an alarming pace, his eyes filled with a gleam of understanding: "Presidential suite on the penthouse floor! Immediately! Clean it! Clean it! Bed! Find me the biggest, softest one! If it's not big enough, find a way to dismantle the bed in the next room and put it in there! It must be... big enough! Also, fragrances, red wine, fruit... everything must be prepared to the highest standards!" He gestured to the space as he gave the orders. "Quick! Maintain absolute confidentiality! Understand?!"

The catering director was stunned, then revealed an ambiguous expression of sudden enlightenment, nodding repeatedly. "Understood! Understood! Mr. Johnson, don't worry, I'll arrange it right away! I guarantee there won't be any mistakes! I'll definitely make sure Mr. Kobayashi has a great time!"

The elevator door slid open silently at the entrance of the revolving Western restaurant on the top floor of Mandarin Oriental.

The moment Liu Rumeng and the four girls behind her stepped out of the elevator, even though they had already imagined the luxury of this place, their breathing still paused slightly.

The restaurant manager and several waiters respectfully stood on either side to greet us. Outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, the boundless night scene and dazzling lights of Victoria Harbour were visible.

Inside, the restaurant was silent and serene, belonging only to the six of them. Each exquisite chandelier emitted a soft glow, the silver cutlery reflected a warm luster on the snow-white tablecloth, and the pure white marble floor was as smooth as a mirror, almost reflecting people's shadows.

Shi Jiayi's eyes were drawn to the crystal-clear goblet on the table and the peculiarly shaped bread basket beside it. She watched the waiter gracefully pour her a deep, rich red wine. She took a sip, and a complex aroma she had never experienced before filled her mouth.

The exquisite appetizers were presented like works of art. Yu Qixia carefully picked up a small piece of scallop meat dotted with caviar with a silver fork and put it into her mouth. Her eyes lit up instantly: "Wow! This... is so fresh and tender! I've never eaten anything so delicious!"

The restaurant manager, waiting nearby, smiled a humble, professional smile. "As long as you like it, Miss Yu," he said. "This is fresh Hokkaido scallops flown in today, served with Russian Beluga caviar."

When the main course - the wagyu steak that was grilled to a golden and crispy surface and tender and delicate inside - was served, even the reserved Zhu Lingling's eyes flashed with a strange light.

Shi Jiayi cut off a small piece of tender and juicy meat, hesitated for a moment, and whispered to the restaurant manager who was standing beside her cautiously: "Manager... today... today's meal, I'm afraid it will be very expensive, right? A few thousand Hong Kong dollars... right?" Her concept of Hong Kong Island's top consumption is still at a relatively shallow level.

The restaurant manager flashed a barely perceptible, odd smile, then quickly regained his composure. "Ms. Shi, the Romanee-Conti you just tasted, the 1949 vintage, has a market price of around three thousand Hong Kong dollars per glass."

He looked at Shi Jiayi's eyes, which widened instantly, and her mouth opened slightly, and continued, "All the drinks and ingredients that Mr. Xiaolin has prepared for you tonight, including Japan's top-grade A5 Wagyu beef, Australia's premium lobster, truffles, and gold leaf embellishments... the total cost is estimated to be around two million Hong Kong dollars. However, Mr. Xiaolin is now our boss, and the hotel is also one of Hong Kong Land's assets. It's our honor to serve him."
