Chapter 534 "Snake-Shaped Hands", First Display of Skill!

After passing through the office building and entering a longer corridor, what they found at the end was a huge, semi-open construction area.

This area is an open space adjacent to Asia Television.

Lo Wei had been here before, but back then it was still a wasteland with only a few filming locations built by CTV itself. Overall, it was quite desolate.

But the scene before me now is quite different, and the smell of paint in the air is stronger, mixed with the smell of soil and building materials.

"This is the first phase of Asia Television City, which is currently under construction."

Liu Rumeng led them forward and pointed to the open space in front of them.

The massive steel frame has already been erected, and the foundation and preliminary structure of some areas are clearly visible. Hundreds of workers are busy at work.

Further away, the group could clearly see several clusters of buildings, each with a distinct style, that had already been erected.

There are antique pavilions and towers, modern-style Western-style buildings and streets, and even a deliberately aged market scene.

These were all investments and constructions made at Lin Huowang's request, with a considerable amount of money invested.

Asia Television (ATV) needs to produce a massive number of TV dramas and establish a film company. How can it do that without its own filming locations?

Looking at the construction site before them, which was far larger than they had imagined, Luo Wei and Chen Gangsheng's previous frustration and embarrassment were instantly replaced by shock.

Lo Wei was the most shocked, exclaiming, "This...this is nothing compared to the fake sets built in TVB's cramped studios! Xiao Lin Sheng's scale is truly impressive, unlike Uncle Shao Liu's stingy approach."

Liu Rumeng pointed to the sign on the planning map and said to the two shocked people, "This is our Asia Television City project, which is planned to be built in three phases over five years. The total land area is 300 acres, and it has been specially approved by the Hong Kong government for Asia Television."

The first phase of the project mainly focuses on the core filming area, including basic scenes such as streets, markets, mansions, and palaces from different eras, and is expected to be put into use by the end of the year.

Phase two will expand to simulated outdoor scenes such as mountains and lakes, as well as a large indoor soundstage. Phase three will improve supporting facilities, including a post-production center and actor apartments.

The total investment budget is HK$1 billion. The goal is to build the most advanced, most diverse, and technologically sophisticated film and television shooting base in all of Asia. The kind of temporary, obviously fake sets built by TVB will become a thing of the past in our ATV dramas.

One billion Hong Kong dollars!

Three hundred acres of land!

Upon hearing this, both Lo Wei and Chan Kong-sang gasped in shock, their throats feeling dry.

The astronomical investment and the sheer scale of the project struck them like a heavy blow.

The mockery from those Asia Television employees earlier seems so insignificant and laughable in the face of such a grand gesture.

Kobayashi Sho... he's really going to do something truly earth-shattering in the television and film industry!

How fortunate they were to be included!

The immense sense of unreality, coupled with the thrill of being trusted, left the two speechless for a moment. They could only gaze greedily at this rising "film and television kingdom."

Director Lo Wei was incredibly excited. Every time he saw a filming location, he immediately envisioned how to use those scenes to create the movie footage.

I really couldn't wait to take out my camera and start filming.

Immediately afterwards, Liu Rumeng led them slowly toward a small section of the filming area that had already been completed and was in use.

Coincidentally, this period drama scene is a fight scene from the popular ATV series "A Step into the Past".

Amidst the flashing swords and shouts, actors performed high-difficulty stunts suspended in the air by wires.

The pressure technology of that era was far less mature and safe than that of later generations.

The wires used for suspending the weight were not very reliable, and it was common for wires to break and people to fall. Therefore, every time the weight was suspended, it was the most tense moment for the entire crew, who wanted to get the shot right in one take.

Lo Wei and Chan Kong-sang are both experts at filming this kind of thing, and they were immediately drawn to it. Although they could only stand on the periphery, they were both very engrossed in watching it.

Chan Kong-sang even subconsciously followed the filming scene, mimicking the moves and muttering to himself, pondering what kind of action design would be better.

Luo Wei also shook off his previous dejection. His eyes were very focused, and his fingers were unconsciously moving in the air. However, he was not practicing any martial arts moves, but thinking about how to arrange the camera to find the best angle.

"What do you two think of my TV studio?"

Just then, a familiar voice suddenly rang out behind the two of them.

Lo Wei and Chan Kong-sang were focused on their work when they were suddenly startled and shuddered.

Turning around abruptly, they saw Lin Huowang standing behind them, a playful smile on his face.

"Xiao Linsheng!"

The two quickly greeted each other, their hearts still pounding with surprise.

"You're so engrossed in watching, why don't you go up and give it a try now? The director and the male lead are here anyway."

Lin Huowang smiled and looked at the two of them, and said.

Chan Kong-sang was taken aback upon hearing this. He pointed to himself, then to the filming location, and asked with a puzzled look, "Me? Playing...playing Xiang Shaolong?"

However, Lin Huowang shook his head.
