Chapter 544, "The Snake in the Eagle's Shadow," is complete!

Before the lights even dimmed, the screening room was already filled with a buzz of discussion.

"What's going on? Why did you suddenly call us all over here?"

"I heard it's to see Lo Wei's new movie, 'Snake in the Eagle'."

"What? That movie? Wasn't it supposed to have only been filmed for less than seven days? It's out so quickly?"

One of the lighting technicians curled his lip, his face full of disdain.

"What kind of rubbish can you produce in seven days? I bet the footage will be blurry."

A prop maker nearby chimed in, "That's right! They even hired those two box office flops, Lo Wei and Chan Kong-sang! I really don't understand how someone as shrewd as Siu-lam could spend money on those two box office poisons. Isn't that a waste of money?"

"Exactly, exactly! Lo Wei's movies all flops, and Chan Kong-sang's movies all lose money. Putting these two together is like a bombshell of 'flops'!"

In the crowd, a young female screenwriter who had just joined the station whispered to her companion, "I heard that the script for this movie was written by Kobayashi himself."

Upon hearing this, her companion's eyes lit up immediately: "Really? Then the story might be interesting."

"Shh... keep your voice down!"

The lighting technician turned around and glared at them, saying, "What's the use of a good script? With a director and actors like this, even the best script will be turned into a pile of crap! We can criticize the movie for being bad, but we mustn't say the story is bad, or we can't afford to take the blame from Kobayashi!"

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded in understanding.

Asia Television is now thriving. Their salaries have increased, and their bonuses are incredibly generous. They don't want to get fired for saying something bad about Kobayashi.

Amidst such discussions, it's fair to say that almost none of the hundreds of employees at Asia Television in the screening room truly had a positive view of "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow."

Everyone was prepared to wait in the dark for the movie to start, with a critical and nitpicking attitude, or even to see it all go wrong.

Liu Rumeng and Lü Ruirong sat in the front row, and the two of them now had quite the air of general managers.

They heard the buzzing discussions behind them. Although the voices weren't loud, they all heard them to some extent, since they were also unsure about the quality of the movie.

Soon, the screening began.

On the screen, the words "Produced by Asia Television" appeared, followed by the film's title—"Snake in the Eagle's Shadow".

Everyone perked up, ready to start finding fault.

This is the first movie produced by Asia Television, so they have to give it a good critique.

If I pick the right questions, I might even get a good chance to impress President Liu and President Lü!

The movie started.

The film opens with a somewhat comical training scene, in which Chan Kong-sang plays the protagonist, Kan Fuk, who is being beaten by his master and running away with his head in his hands. His movements are both clumsy and funny.

"Pfft..."

In the screening room, some people couldn't help but laugh.

Moreover, the laughter seemed contagious; soon, sporadic bursts of laughter began to echo throughout the screening room.

The expressions that had been set on them, ready to be critical and nitpicky, had completely relaxed without them even realizing it.

As the plot unfolds, Kan Fook, played by Chan Kong-sang, suffers endless bullying, but by chance, he encounters a martial arts master disguised as a beggar.

His apprenticeship process was also full of hilarious moments.

For example, one could practice "snake-like hand movements" using a rice bowl, dodging the chef's chopsticks while simultaneously performing extremely difficult actions.

Chan Kong-sang's naturally comedic face, combined with his agile yet slightly exaggerated kung fu skills, immediately created a wonderful chemical reaction.

The laughter in the screening room, which started as a few scattered sounds, gradually escalated into an uncontrollable uproar.

"Hahaha! This Chan Kong-sang is really something!"

"This scene is hilarious! Who came up with this? Practicing kung fu with a rice bowl!"

"Look at his expression when he got hit, he's in pain but doesn't dare to scream, it's hilarious!"

The employees had completely forgotten that they were there to "review the film" and "find fault".

These industry professionals, however, were now just like ordinary viewers, completely swept along by the rhythm of the film.

When the plot progresses to the point where Jian Fu has mastered his skills and descends the mountain to clean up the mess at the martial arts school, the atmosphere in the entire screening room changes once again.

The villainous Eagle Claw Sect master made his appearance, his moves were extremely ruthless, and his aura was very imposing, immediately setting the mood.

Everyone's hearts were in their throats.

"This villain is amazing!"

"Can Jian Fu beat him? It looks unlikely!"

Watch out behind you!

When they saw Jian Fu being beaten back and spitting blood, some of the more sensitive female employees even covered their mouths in shock.

They were completely engrossed, worried about the protagonist's fate, and tense about his situation.

When Jian Fu, in a critical moment, combined the Snake Fist style with the form of a cat's claw, comprehending the "Snake-Style Clever Hand," he ultimately turned the tide and defeated the arrogant villain—

A thunderous roar of cheers and applause erupted throughout the screening room!

"Well done!"

"That was so cool! What's that move called? Snake-like Divine Hand? It's a catchy name!"

"That was awesome! It was so much fun!"

Everyone felt a surge of excitement welling up from the bottom of their hearts, as if they were the protagonist, Jane Fook, who had successfully turned his life around.
