It's amazing how almost every family around him and their children have fallen in love with the Pokémon anime.
This animated series, broadcast by more than a dozen mainstream television stations around the world, including the BBC, ABC, and TF1, is a work from the mysterious "mainland China." As soon as it was broadcast, its popularity swept across the United States, and it was simply unstoppable!
So if you see a group of kids having a crazy discussion, don't doubt it, they're probably talking about which Pokémon is the cutest or which is the strongest.
"Are you sure? Is it that anime with Pikachu?"
Sam was also a little excited. A few days ago, he had queued up overnight to buy a Pikachu plush toy for his son at a high price.
He knew all too well the appeal of these licensed Pokémon merchandise to children.
That doll dared to sell for $20, and it was a limited edition. He finally managed to queue up and buy it, but as soon as he stepped out of the store, someone immediately offered $50 to buy it.
Making a 150% profit with just one transaction? That's incredibly lucrative!
“Yes! Director! Absolutely! And they said... this animated film and these appliances all come from the same place…”
"where?"
Sam had already asked the question, but he already knew the answer in his heart.
“Mainland China. That mysterious, red, Eastern superpower,” the secretary said, just as he had expected.
Sam's expression at that moment was quite interesting, half puzzled and half shocked.
China?
That red, closed-off place, which in his memory was even more backward and impoverished than Hong Kong Island.
But... Pikachu's smiling face, and his son Billy's crazy infatuation, are completely undeniable.
So many TV stations have publicly announced that this Pokémon anime is produced in a major Eastern country.
Countless Westerners, like him, found it hard to believe that such a large Eastern country could produce such a cute and adorable animated film that could capture the hearts of so many Western children.
That yellow electric mouse seemed to possess incredible magic.
So much so that his son Billy told him yesterday that he should start studying hard now, learn Chinese, and when he grows up, go to the forests of the great Eastern country to catch his own Pikachu, Charmander, and Bulbasaur.
After careful consideration, Sam immediately ordered, "Prepare the car! Head to the airport immediately! No! Get a helicopter here right now! Immediately! I want it flying directly to the Port of Los Angeles! Whether this news is true or false, it's our only lifeline!"
Port of Los Angeles, Yard 3.
The sea breeze carried a slightly salty, rusty smell, and when it blew against my face, it brought a chilling sensation.
In a shabby warehouse, Walmart’s chief inspector, David Clark, stood with his arms crossed and hands on his hips, looking impatient.
His eyes were filled with disdain as he stared at the huge shipping container in front of him.
On the side of the container, a majestic Chinese dragon is coiled above the "Dragon" brand logo.
Because of his rigid and stereotypical prejudice against goods from mainland China, he also viewed the brand logo, designed by a first-class arts and crafts master, as incredibly tacky.
"Damn it, Director Sam must have been driven crazy."
Even the Japanese, known for their precision manufacturing, have such major problems, and he actually urgently transferred me from headquarters to inspect this garbage hammered out of a third-world workshop? Dragon? Dragon brand? What utterly tasteless!”
"Mr. Gao Qiao, is that right?"
David looked at the well-dressed Asian man in front of him, his disdain for him was undisguised, to the point that even his gesture of reaching out to take the relevant documents was perfunctory.
However, facing these arrogant Westerners, Gao Qiaohao calmly said, "Mr. David, I am Gao Qiaohao. These are copies of all the international safety certifications that 'Dragon Brand' electrical appliances have passed, including the most stringent German TÜV certification and the American UL certification. You can take a look at them first; all documents are available for verification."
David frowned. For some reason, he felt uneasy seeing the confident and composed demeanor of the Asian man in front of him.
Perhaps, in his view, only Westerners possess such confidence. For an Easterner to display such confidence in front of Westerners is undoubtedly a subtle provocation against him.
So David accepted the reports with some skepticism. The thick paper and clear printing didn't seem like cheap forgeries.
He quickly flipped through the pages, his eyes scanning over the dense array of certification stamps bearing anti-counterfeiting marks—German TÜV, American UL, European CE…and they were all genuine!
His heart skipped a beat, and a sense of absurdity welled up inside him.
impossible!
Easterners are masters at forging documents; this must be fake!
His preconceived notions led him to be skeptical of the credibility of these documents.
"Hmph! Documents? Just look at them, who knows if they're forged?"
Let's unpack it! Inspecting the goods is the most reliable way! You Easterners have a saying, "Let's take it out for a spin; you'll know if it's a mule or a horse once you see it!"
David simply couldn't believe that such an unknown brand from China could produce any good products.
It's important to understand that whether it's German, British, American, or Japanese products, they have all undergone years of market testing and continuous improvement to become the products we know today, with Japanese products being far ahead of the competition.
