Chapter 15 Huang Anyi's Thoughts
Lin Weimin felt as if he had returned to his high school days, those nightmare-filled yet haunting times!
My days in graduate school were almost entirely filled with courses, except for eating, sleeping, and going to the toilet. Of course, I also had spare time, which I basically spent writing at night, and the rest of the time discussing literature.
He felt admiration when he thought about it. Many of his classmates were over 40 years old, but still maintained such a strong enthusiasm for learning. Even he himself gradually got used to this pace of life after being lazy for the first few days.
Tonight, someone was so quiet that he wanted to do something else, so he turned on the only color TV in the institute.
Unfortunately, the color was still in its early stages and had no fidelity at all. There were also some problems with the analog signal we received, and the image was always shaking. Everyone felt disappointed, so they just sat in the cafeteria and chatted.
There are many talkative students in the class, including Jiang Zilong, Gu Hua, Qu Xiaowei, Lin Weimin, etc.
But everyone's style is completely different. Jiang Zilong is the type of person who is serious yet humorous, with a dry sense of humour. Gu Hua is very good at telling stories, and Qu Xiaowei is simply the poor old Yanjing guy.
Lin Weimin was different from them. He had taken all the spoils on the mountain. If it weren't for his young age, he would have been beaten many times.
The discussion in the cafeteria basically started with the topics discussed by just a few of them.
Jiang Zilong has always had a good relationship with his teachers and often gets to hear a lot of gossip.
For example, everyone feels that this opportunity for further study is extremely rare, and if they got the chance in advance, they would definitely scramble for it.
When Jiang Zilong said this, everyone nodded in agreement.
"Is there anyone who is an exception?"
"Who is it?"
Jiang Zilong lowered his voice and said, "I'm telling you, don't spread this."
Huang Zonghan was the first to assure, "Don't worry, we'll keep our mouth shut."
After confirming the look with the people around him, Jiang Zilong spoke with confidence, "Jia Pingwa, and Wu Guozheng."
He glanced at the girls and said, "First, Jia Pingwa didn't come, and then the institute sent a transfer order to Wu Guozheng. Since both of them didn't come, Liu Shuhua was finally replaced."
Several people around sighed, saying it would be a shame to miss such a good opportunity.
Many people know these two people. Wu Guozheng is about the same age as Huang Zonghan and Guo Yudao. He published his works very early. His short story "The Cook in Our Family" won the National Excellent Short Story Award in 1979, just like many people in his class. That's why he received the transfer order from the institute. Unfortunately, for some reason he did not come.
As for Jia Pingwa, he became famous at a young age. He graduated from university at the age of 23 and published books at the age of 24. He published several books at a time, which makes all the uncles present feel ashamed.
"What are they thinking? What a great opportunity!" Cheng Shixu asked puzzledly.
"Who knows? He must have his own reasons." Jiang Zilong just heard what his teacher said and did not ask for the details.
"Liu Shuhua got an advantage..." Someone said.
Tang Kangmei had sharp ears and was a little far away from the boys, but she keenly heard the three words "Liu Shuhua" and shouted over two tables, "What are you boys saying about our Shuhua? We heard it all."
"I didn't say anything. I was just talking about how Shuhua got the quota!" Jiang Zilong was afraid that these female classmates would misunderstand him, so he quickly explained.
When the female classmates heard this, they immediately became interested and squeezed over.
Lin Weimin was chatting with Qu Xiaowei, so he gave up his seat to them and ran aside.
"What's going on? What's going on?" Tang Kangmei asked impatiently as soon as she sat down next to the boy.
A group of people gathered together and started talking.
Huang Anyi was standing alone outside the crowd. Lin Weimin noticed that she didn't move forward when Jiang Zilong mentioned Liu Shuhua's place.
Instead, he sat there quietly, watching the older brothers and sisters gossiping.
This is a rare opportunity!
Sister An Yi is a future great writer, so there is almost no harm in using condoms.
"Why don't you go over and chat with everyone?"
A deep and magnetic voice sounded, and the caring big brother officially appeared.
Huang Anyi looked up at Lin Weimin and quickly lowered her head, "I'm not very interested in their topic."
Her voice was thin and soft, with a hint of Shanghainese accent, which made Lin Weimin's ears, who were used to the rough northern accent, feel itchy.
"We're just getting together to chat and have fun. You can't have such an idea!"
His flat denial scared Huang Anyi. It wasn't that she really didn't like the topic, she was just looking for an excuse.
The reason why she doesn't like to participate in conversations with her classmates is actually because of her inner sensitivity and inferiority.
Huang Anyi can be considered a second-generation literary figure. Her father is the famous director Huang Xiaoping, her mother is the well-known writer Lu Zhijuan, and her uncle is Shen Zhiyu, a domestic cultural and museum pioneer and revolutionary pioneer.
Parents generally hope their sons will become successful, and Huang Anyi is no exception.
Her family conditions were among the best among her classmates in the School of Literature, and she hired English tutors when she was young.
Once, when my uncle Shen Zhiyu came to visit our house, my mother Lu Zhijuan took out a small painting that Huang Anyi had painted and presented it to my brother like a treasure. There was also a short poem written by Huang Anyi on it.
After reading it, Shen Zhiyu said, "Poetry is better than painting."
Huang Anyi's mother immediately had an idea. Later, when Huang Anyi was 16 years old and went to the countryside to work as a production team member, her mother urged her to write a diary, intending to train her writing talent. Later, her first published work was also handed over to the Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House by her mother.
Coincidentally, when the manuscript was sent to the publishing house, the editor who discussed the manuscript with Huang Anyi was Tang Kangmei, a classmate in this class.
Unfortunately, this "backdoor" experience was not very successful, and the collection of essays about the life of educated youth was not published.
Afterwards, Huang Anyi was transferred back to Shanghai to serve as the editor of "Childhood", and successively published works such as "On the Plain" and "Who is the Future Squadron Leader", among which "Who is the Future Squadron Leader" won the second prize in the second national youth literary and artistic creation.
As a result, Huang Anyi was qualified to study at the Institute of Literature.
Unfortunately, she didn't feel good when she got here. The classmates around her were all names she had read in magazines, which made her feel envious and inferior.
She also knew about what Jiang Zilong and the others had just said about Liu Shuhua. Teacher Wang Yifen had mentioned this to her yesterday. If Liu Shuhua had come first, she might not even have the opportunity to continue her studies.
This sentence made Huang Anyi feel even more ashamed. She felt that she really had no ability to stand shoulder to shoulder with these classmates who already had something to rely on.
The thought in his mind only lingered for a few seconds, and Huang Anyi followed Lin Weimin's words and asked, "Why?"
Thanks to Fengyan Fengyu for the reward. I will do my best to support you during the period of writing the new book. Thank you for your support.
