Chapter 27 Qiqi's Fashion Stall

While waiting for a bus at the intersection, a hearty and unrestrained laugh suddenly came from behind me.

Zhou Qiqi subconsciously turned around and saw Deng Cuixiang carrying a floral cloth bag and wearing high heels, rushing towards them in a hurry, her eyes fixed on the bulging snakeskin bag next to the two of them.

"Hey, Qiqi, Yingying, are you two heading to town? Why are you carrying such a big bag?"

Zhou Qiqi didn't hide anything, reached out and patted the bulging snakeskin bag, and laughed.

"I bought some clothes in bulk, and I'm planning to set up a stall in the city to sell them."

"What clothes? Let me see!"

Deng Cuixiang immediately became interested and deftly untied the knot of the snakeskin bag.

Upon seeing the clothes inside and hearing Zhou Qiqi's explanation, her eyes lit up instantly, and she couldn't help but praise them.

"I also have these two styles, but I thought they were too outdated and never wore them. I never expected that after you transformed them, they would suddenly become stylish and high-end! You're really amazing!"

Her eyes lit up as she stared at the clothes, her fingers gently caressing the tassels and lace, wishing she could buy two right away.

Unfortunately, we just finished building a toilet at home, and we're really short on money, so we have to suppress our desire to have it.

Zhou Qiqi keenly noticed her hesitation and immediately offered a suggestion.

"Sister Cuixiang, if you don't mind, you can bring your old model over, and I'll alter it for you!"

"Really? That's great! You're guaranteed to make a fortune!"

Deng Cuixiang's eyes lit up instantly, but then she immediately thought of something and pulled the two of them aside to whisper something.

"But I have to remind you, it's fine to do business, but don't be too high-profile. Most of the families in our compound are housewives who don't have regular jobs and stay home all day taking care of the kids. Before, when you spent money so lavishly, many people were envious! If they knew you could actually make money, they'd probably hold a grudge against you even more!"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Qiqi's expression turned serious, and she nodded earnestly.

Before she could reply, three military wives walked towards them from a distance, chatting and laughing.

With quick reflexes, Deng Cuixiang dodged in front of the snakeskin bag.

Li Hongjuan, who was in the lead, waved the cloth bag in her hand, drawing out her words with a hint of probing.

"Hey, Cuixiang, what treasures are in such a big bag?"

Deng Cuixiang casually kicked the snakeskin bag with her toe.

"Hey, it's nothing special. My younger brother and sister-in-law had a baby, so I just packed up some old clothes and blankets to send over."

Her family lived in the city and they often came to deliver things, so this explanation was reasonable. Li Hongjuan glanced at the snakeskin bag casually and didn't ask any more questions.

He then turned his gaze to Zhou Qiqi and Zhu Yingying, greeting them with a forced smile.

"Qiqi, Yingying, are you going to the city too?"

"Okay, I'll buy some groceries."

Zhou Qiqi responded with neither humility nor arrogance.

Just then, the procurement vehicle sputtered up.

Deng Cuixiang picked up the snakeskin bag and walked towards the carriage, with Zhou Qiqi pulling Yingying close behind.

Li Hongjuan and the other two swayed their hips and walked quickly towards the front row—after all, the seats in the front row were much more comfortable than those in the back.

The procurement vehicle bumped along as it drove into the city, and the three people in the back seat chatted non-stop the whole way.

Somehow, the conversation turned to food.

Zhou Qiqi couldn't help but praise the delicious food from yesterday.

"The cafeteria chefs are really good at cooking. The stewed fish they made yesterday afternoon was absolutely delicious!"

As she said this, she unconsciously licked her lips, her face full of reminiscence.

Yingying was stunned. "What? Stewed fish? The cafeteria even has stewed fish?"

She's an expert in this area; her family eats at the cafeteria every day, and fish is practically never an ingredient they've ever had.

Moreover, the food in the cafeteria is only so-so, not exactly delicious.

"ah?"

Zhou Qiqi was also stunned, looking puzzled.

This left Zhou Qiqi completely bewildered, and Deng Cuixiang slapped her forehead!

"I remember now. This afternoon, my husband went to a meeting in the city with Commander Shen. Before coming back, Commander Shen went to the military restaurant downstairs and was delayed for a while, which almost made him come back late. So... he went there specifically to buy stewed fish for Qiqi!"

"The military region's restaurant caters to high-ranking officials, so how could the food not be good!"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Qiqi's heart pounded wildly, and her cheeks instantly flushed red.

She bit her lip, feeling as if countless sweet fireworks had exploded in her heart, a sweet feeling spreading from the bottom of her heart.

This feeling was so unfamiliar that she couldn't help but clutch her chest and silently complain in her mind.

It's just a meal, why is he putting so much effort into it?

"These young people in love are just different! They're both so considerate!"

Deng Cuixiang's eyes darted between Qiqi and Yingying, and she teased them with a smile.

“Unlike my husband, he followed us all the way to the restaurant, but didn’t even bring back a meat bun, just like Yu the Great!”

They chatted and laughed all the way, and soon arrived in the city.

After Deng Cuixiang helped unload the things from the car, she went back to her parents' home.

Zhou Qiqi took Zhu Yingying by bus and headed straight for the city cinema.

It must be said that although that woman was sharp-tongued and mean, she had a really good eye for choosing places.

On one side of the street is G City Normal University, and on the other side is G City's largest food processing plant.

Female students and female workers are both people who have spare money.

In addition, the large open space in front of the city cinema in the middle of the street has attracted many couples on dates.

This is absolutely prime location for setting up a stall!

Such a wonderful place is naturally coveted by everyone.

By the time they arrived, it was already past nine o'clock, and the stalls in the open space were almost all occupied.
