A soft little hand suddenly turned around and hooked her fingers!
Zhou Qiqi froze, staring blankly down at the small hand that was tightly gripping her index finger.
She could hardly believe her eyes, her voice faltering as she sought confirmation:
"Dad, Mom, Huaichuan, is it me... or did I see wrong again? Is Zhouzhou...?"
Upon hearing the sound, the two elders of the Shen family and Shen Huaichuan immediately turned their heads. This time, they saw it clearly!
Zhouzhou's little hand was indeed tightly gripping Zhou Qiqi's fingers!
"It's true! Qiqi! You didn't see wrong! It's true! Zhouzhou is holding your hand! She's holding your hand!"
Qin Peilan was the first to shout out excitedly, and tears welled up in her eyes instantly.
She quickly covered her mouth, trying her best not to cry out and frighten the child, but she couldn't suppress the sobs and ecstasy in her voice!
Shen Zhenbang and Shen Huaichuan's eyes also instantly reddened. Shen Zhenbang nodded vigorously, his lips trembling, too excited to speak.

Qin Peilan asked anxiously.
Zhou Qiqi's heart pounded. She leaned down, her ear almost touching the child's lips, and murmured uncertainly:
"She seemed to be...she seemed to be calling...'Auntie'?"
As if to confirm her words.
The moment she finished speaking, Zhouzhou's little mouth moved again, and a clearer, intermittent sound came out:
"Aunt...Aunt..."
At first, her voice was still hoarse and unrecognizable, but as she repeated it again and again, the two words became clearer and clearer:
"Auntie... Auntie..."
Zhouzhou seemed to be having a nightmare. Her little head turned restlessly on the pillow, her brows were tightly furrowed, and she looked very scared.
Zhou Qiqi's heart clenched instantly. She immediately bent down and hugged Zhouzhou tightly, gently patting her back and soothing her tenderly.
"Auntie's here! Auntie's here! Zhouzhou, don't be afraid, Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle are all here with you, we're all here! Be good, don't be afraid, wake up and look at Auntie, okay?"
"Yes, we're all here! Zhouzhou, don't be afraid!"
Qin Peilan, Shen Zhenbang, and Shen Huaichuan also quickly approached, their voices filled with barely suppressed excitement.
Their hearts were in their throats, fearing that this was just a fleeting dream.
Fortunately, Zhouzhou didn't let this anxiety last too long.
Amidst the gentle calls of her family, Zhouzhou's long eyelashes trembled violently a few times.
Then, under the breathless gaze of the whole family, little by little, their eyes were opened!
Those clear, yet somewhat bewildered eyes blinked aimlessly for a moment, and then Zhou Qiqi's tear-streaked face, brimming with ecstatic joy, was clearly reflected in their pupils.
"Auntie!"
A cry filled with dependence and grievance escaped her lips, and almost instinctively, Zhouzhou opened her small arms and buried her head in Zhou Qiqi's embrace.
"She's awake! She's awake! She's really awake! Good heavens!"
Upon seeing this scene, Qin Peilan burst into tears. These were tears of pure joy. She was so excited that she almost lost her balance, but Shen Zhenbang, who was standing next to her, caught her.
Even Shen Zhenbang, a tough guy who had never flinched in the face of gunfire, had tears welling up in his eyes and his lips trembled as he tried to say something.
He just kept nodding vigorously, his big hand tightly gripping his wife's arm.
Shen Huaichuan stood a little behind, looking at his wife and "daughter" who were tightly embracing each other. The anxiety that had been hanging over him all night finally subsided.
He took a deep breath, tilted his head back, and blinked hard at his slightly sore eyes to keep the tears from falling.
He reached out and gently stroked Zhouzhou's little head that was peeking out from Zhou Qiqi's arms.
Shen Zhenbang was the first to regain his composure. He suppressed his surging emotions and reminded him:
"Alright, alright! Don't get too excited yet! The child just woke up, quick! Get Dr. Wu and Dr. Chen over here right away to examine him and see how he is!"
The family then realized what had happened and quickly made way for Dr. Wu, who had been standing by.
Dr. Wu carefully examined Zhouzhou.
Then, putting away the stethoscope, he smiled and said to the group of family members:
"Don't worry, it's much better than we expected!"
Having heard so much bad news lately, the family was somewhat incredulous when they heard the word "good."
Qin Peilan asked cautiously, "Dr. Wu, you said it's good, but what's so good about it? My child..."
"Didn't you all see it with your own eyes?"
Dr. Wu's tone was light and cheerful.
"Isn't it obvious? Didn't you all see it with your own eyes? Zhouzhou not only woke up, but more importantly, she spoke! And she spoke so clearly! This proves that her language function is recovering rapidly! Just now I asked her, 'Do you recognize who I am?' and she even gently nodded with an 'Mmm'! Isn't this fantastic news?!"
