This Li Hongjuan has a really thick skin.
Taking advantage of her pregnancy, she thought the whole world should give way to her, and she was playing a game of feigned retreat to advance.
Zhou Qiqi wasn't buying it. She was about to retort when the light at the clinic entrance dimmed and Lei Yuhua burst in.
She was in the courtyard and heard everything Li Hongjuan had just said clearly, and laughed.

When Li Hongjuan saw Lei Yuhua, she instinctively regarded her as an ally and forced a smile, saying:

Lei Yuhua smiled.

Lei Yuhua seemed to have heard the funniest joke in the world; she put her hands on her hips, unable to suppress her laughter.
“Li Hongjuan, listen carefully! Zhou Qiqi is my cousin! She's my mother's niece! She's the Zhou family's long-lost blood relative of over twenty years! If I don't speak up for her, am I supposed to speak up for you, a liar who's framing me? If I were to speak up for you, I'd be the one siding with outsiders!”
These words struck Li Hongjuan like a thunderbolt from a clear sky, making her eyes pop out and her mouth gape open enough to fit an egg. She stammered, "..."
"What...? Niece? Her own daughter? Really... really?"
"nonsense!"
Lei Yuhua raised her chin, her expression resolute.
“What did our family go out for this week? We went to find our relatives! How could that be fake? From now on, Zhou Qiqi is my cousin, Lei Yuhua’s cousin, and I’ll protect her! Anyone who dares to bully her or scheme against her will have to think twice before they get involved!”

"Apologize! Quickly! Apologize to Zhouzhou! It's all your fault! If you hadn't falsely accused Zhouzhou of bullying you, would I have misunderstood? Would I have pulled her over? Apologize now!"
The two children stumbled as she pushed them. Seeing the cold, bright lights of the room full of adults, they burst into tears, sobbing and mumbling "I'm sorry" to Zhouzhou.
Lei Yuhua frowned deeply, utterly disgusted by this act of using a child as a scapegoat:
"Li Hongjuan! Don't give me that crap! The child is being unreasonable, and the root of the problem is you, the stepmother! If anyone should apologize, it's you!"
Li Hongjuan was not willing to apologize. She pinched the child and shoved him.

This woman really didn't care about the child. She pinched the child's arm so hard that it turned red instantly, which was an eyesore to Zhou Qiqi.
"never mind."
She gently tugged at Lei Yuhua's sleeve and said.
"It's pointless to argue with someone like her. Even if you force her to admit her mistake verbally, she'll only feel unlucky and won't really think she did anything wrong. Let her go."
There was one more thing she didn't say explicitly.
