Judging from her evasive eyes, Song Weidong concluded that this woman must know Lu Zhixia, otherwise she wouldn't have chosen to hide it.
So he strode forward and tried to grab the woman by the collar, demanding that she tell him where she was.
Before he could even touch him, a man came out of the house and stopped him. The man was very strong, wearing a white vest and had dark skin, much stronger than his thin body.
So he quickly took a step back, afraid that the other party would hit him!
"What are you going to do?" Du Gang asked.
"I just asked your wife a few questions, that's all."
Song Weidong quickly explained that the other party looked burly and didn't seem like someone to be trifled with.
"Is that how you ask a question?" Du Gang wasn't intimidated by the fact that the other party had brought several people. "If you want trouble, just say so. I, Du Gang, am not afraid of trouble!"
"Well, I'm here to see my wife, so I wanted to ask if your wife knows her."
Du Gang turned to Zhu Hong and asked, "Do you know her?"
Zhu Hong quickly shook her head. She had calmed down completely and knew that these people had come with ill intentions.
Lu Zhixia had already told her about her past experiences, so the man in front of her was a complete scumbag.
The man who looked so refined was actually a shameless scoundrel!
Du Gang turned around and said rudely to the man, "My wife said she doesn't know him, so get out of here right now!"
If you cause trouble again, don't blame me for being impolite!
At that moment, Zhu Hong felt that her burly husband was actually quite good; at least he could protect her.
She was incredibly thick-skinned; thinking of her lost son, she resented her husband again, wishing he hadn't stopped her.
Is there any chance of finding the child?
I can't think about it anymore, or I'll feel bad again.
Song Weidong knew he wouldn't get any information out of them. Since it was only a three-story building, he figured he could find it by asking each household.
So they started leading people around, looking through the windows of each house, but they didn't see Lu Zhixia, so they went up to the second floor.
After they left, Zhu Hong came out of the house and carefully went upstairs. Noticing that they only went to the second floor, she quickly went up to the third floor.
Seeing Su Lan in the corridor and noticing that Lu Zhixia's door was ajar, I knew they were all home.
"Sister Lan, something terrible has happened."
Su Lan stopped packing food into the lunchbox. "What happened?"
Zhu Hong leaned close to her ear and said, "Comrade Lu's husband has arrived, and he brought several people with him. They don't seem to have good intentions. They're on the second floor now, and they'll be on the third floor soon!"
Upon hearing this, Su Lan realized that the two women were not capable of dealing with the large number of people. So, she quickly came up with an idea.
He turned and went to the doorway, whispering...
"Xiaxia, no matter what happens later, don't go out or make a sound."
The next second she locked the door.
Lu Zhixia got out of bed. She felt something was wrong; her stomach hurt terribly. She saw the bowl on the stool.
I picked it up and forced down a mouthful of ginger soup. It was only a temporary fix; the pain was still there, but the symptoms had lessened considerably.
Song Weidong received the definite news on the second floor from an old lady. He took out two yuan from his pocket and gave it to the old lady, then led the people up to the third floor.
A group of strangers suddenly appeared and hurriedly went up to the third floor, which naturally attracted the attention of a group of people.
They wanted to see what was going on.
Zhu Hong hid in Su Lan's house, afraid of being seen by those men. She should have called her big, burly husband up!
Song Weidong followed the house number and found the room the old lady had mentioned, but the door was locked.
It was obvious that no one was in the room, but he saw a woman packing lunchboxes next to him.
"Comrade, do you know which room Lu Zhixia lives in?"
“She’s not home,” Su Lan said calmly. “I’m her landlord, is there anything I can help you with?”
Song Weidong sized up the woman in front of him. She looked to be in her early forties, with bright, small eyes and a tall, slender figure. He also noticed her clothes.
Their living conditions seemed to be alright, because their clothes weren't patched.
"I am her husband, and I demand that you not rent the house to her! And give me the keys!"
"I'm sorry, I can't do that. I don't know if your relationship is real or fake. Unless Comrade Lu tells me, I can't give you the key."
"Don't be unreasonable, I really am her husband!"
"Where's the evidence?" Su Lan said coldly. "Besides, even if there is evidence, so what? Lu Zhixia rented the house from me, it has nothing to do with you!"
Song Weidong instantly flew into a rage, "You woman, have I been too kind to you?!"
Lu Zhixia, clutching her stomach, struggled to the door, where Song Weidong had finally arrived.
She had anticipated that if this guy wasn't giving up, he would bring people over.
The old woman is paralyzed in bed, but she still has value to us. We can't let her go easily!
Su Lan picked up the spatula. "What, are you going to be rude to me?"
Song Weidong rolled up his sleeves, then grabbed the woman's collar.
"I want to see her alive or dead today!"
"What are you doing!" The plump aunt squeezed out from the crowd. "Why are you guys, a bunch of grown men, bullying a woman?"
Seeing another fat man arrive, Song Weidong waved to the others.
Two of them mustered their courage and grabbed the fat man's hands.
"You're being indecent!" the fat auntie yelled. "What are you little rascals trying to do!"
Song Weidong pointed at them, "I'm going to find Lu Zhixia today! You better tell me where she is right now! Otherwise, I'll take care of you all today!"
