"Alright, you can go now."
"Where are you all going?" Su Lan couldn't help but ask.
Lu Zhixia turned around and said, "We're going out to take care of some things. We'll be back this afternoon."

"But how could there be a child if he wasn't married?" Su Lan asked anxiously. "Could it be that he had the child out of wedlock with someone else? Where is the mother?"
“It’s not his child.” Old Master Bai shook the fan in his hand. “I had already found out about this before, otherwise I wouldn’t have tried to match them up.”
Su Lan laughed after hearing this. It turned out they had been mistaken from the beginning. Thinking of her sister's hard life, and how she was finally happy, she was even happier than if she had found a fortune. So she spoke to her grandfather again...
Who is that child?
“It was the child of his deceased comrade-in-arms, whom he adopted, so he has a child.”
"How could I not have thought of that? Look at how attentive he is, he's obviously pursuing a girl." Su Lan thought back to her previous thoughts and couldn't help but laugh and cry. Why didn't she ask him?
"I think they're a good match, but I wonder when we'll be able to attend their wedding." Old Master Bai stroked his beard. "Young Gu still needs to put in a little more effort."
Su Lan nodded in agreement; she thought so too, and that the man had to take the initiative in this matter.

After getting into the car, Lu Zhixia took out the note from her bag and handed it to Gu Lingxiao.
"I need to go to this village on the outskirts of the city. See if you can find someone to ask where it is."
Gu Lingxiao looked at the address on the note, then turned around and said, "You don't need to ask about this place. I know it. I've been there before. It's just that the mountain roads are a bit bumpy, so you should be prepared."

Upon seeing a man and a woman standing there, he immediately shouted happily when the man turned around.
"Captain Gu!"
Gu Lingxiao turned around upon hearing the voice and saw it was Village Chief Yuan, so he smiled and walked over.
"It's been a few years since I last saw you, old village chief, you look much healthier than before."
Village Chief Yuan laughed, "What are you saying? What brings you to the village?"
"Here's the thing, I brought a friend over to look for someone," Gu Lingxiao said.
Lu Zhixia learned from their conversation that they were the village chiefs, so she reached out her hand.
