"Aren't you in the hospital?" Song Weidong looked at his sister and became even angrier.
His younger sister, whom he had raised with great care, had been violated by a beast and was now pregnant. In his eyes, she was no longer of any use.
I had originally thought that when my younger sister grew up and got married, I could receive a dowry.
It seems like it's already a blessing to be able to stay at home and not be idle.
"You still know I'm in the hospital, so why won't you pay my medical bills?" Song Lingling looked at her brother with cold eyes.
"If it weren't for Ding Xueqing, I wouldn't be able to get out of here right now!"
"Why are you getting involved with him again?"
Song Weidong looked his sister up and down. She had lost a lot of weight and looked pale. Compared to the lively person she used to be, she was like a completely different person.
“If I don’t get involved with him, what can I do? You left me in the hospital without paying the bills.” Song Lingling pointed at him. “You don’t even care about your own mother. Are you even human?”
"Mom! How is she?" Song Weidong felt guilty thinking about his mother, because he really had no money and wanted to leave her at the hospital.
Since I don't work there anyway, I'll let the hospital take care of me for a while.
"The hospital staff will be here soon." Song Lingling had barely finished speaking when she heard the sound of a car stopping ahead.
"How did we end up in such a godforsaken place!" the man muttered.
"Let's drop them off and leave," another person said.
Then Song Weidong saw two people carrying a stretcher, one in front of the other, and they were wearing white coats.
His mother, whom he hadn't seen for many days, lay on a stretcher, her face gaunt and pale. When she saw him, her cloudy eyes lit up for a moment, then dimmed again.
Cao Guifen never imagined that her son would end up sleeping under a bridge.
He had two houses, how did he end up like this?
She could not speak and could only gesture with her hands.
The people carrying the stretcher were also a bit bewildered; the environment was truly appalling.
The hospital told them to bring the person over; if they took her back, the old woman would become a problem for them.
So the two of them tacitly carried the stretcher to the corner of the wall, then lifted the person up and placed him on the tattered quilt.
One of them approached Song Weidong and said, "The hospital said you have to pay back the money you owe, or they'll report you to the police!"
“I have no money right now,” Song Weidong said coldly. “You can’t force me to my death. If I had money, would I be living here?”
The man was about to make a fuss when someone next to him pulled him back and shook his head.
Knowing they couldn't cause trouble, they tacitly turned and left, since their work for the day was essentially finished.
Song Lingling covered her nose. "Brother, I want to know how you ended up like this? If I hadn't run into Yaozu on the street, I would never have believed that you could have lost both houses!"
Song Weidong looked at his sister and said, "You're here, so I can have some money!"
"I don't have any money for you," Song Lingling refused outright. "Now that you've fallen on hard times, let's see each other less often!"
She turned and left after saying that, because she didn't want to take care of the old lady.
He was just a paralyzed good-for-nothing; if he died, so be it. What did it have to do with her?
Cao Guifen stretched out her hand with difficulty, opened her mouth, and finally managed to call out, "Ring—"
Song Lingling paused for a moment, but only for a moment, and then she continued walking forward in her high heels.
In reality, her life isn't easy right now either. She went back to her rented apartment with Ding Xueqing, and once went downstairs to buy something.

Song Lingling crossed her arms and laughed, "What does that have to do with me? Aren't you the eldest son? Isn't it your responsibility to take care of your mother in her old age and see her off in her final days?"
Seeing that he didn't speak, she continued, "You know my situation. I can barely support myself, and you expect me to take care of a bedridden old man?" She rolled her eyes at him.
"Do you take me for Lu Zhixia, that foolish woman who has no regrets?" Then she poked her brother's chest with her finger.
"The worst thing you could have done was divorce her. If you hadn't cheated, we'd all be doing pretty well right now."
Seeing her brother's stunned expression, she smiled sarcastically, "Have you regretted it long ago? We've had 10 years of happy life. You can go to work with peace of mind, I can go to school with peace of mind, Yaozu is spoiled rotten, and our mother is taken care of. Isn't all of this based on Lu Zhixia's unconditional sacrifice?"
Song Weidong agreed with what his sister said, but there's no going back, and time can't be turned back.
Lu Zhixia left him without ever returning!
Song Lingling snorted coldly, "Now you know you regret it? Too late. Everything we have is gone!" She poked her brother's chest again with her finger, "The responsibility of taking care of Mom from birth to death is now yours!"
