Gu Lingxiao: "That means you're destined for good luck today!"
The train conductor laughed, feeling that he was indeed lucky today; he had encountered a problem but had resolved it smoothly.
He drank the first bowl of soup a passenger ever offered him—tomato and egg soup—and he will remember it for the rest of his life.
They also caught their first foreign spy, whose credentials were all sorts of unusual, which broadened his horizons.
After the train attendants left, Lu Zhixia sat down beside Gu Lingxiao's bed.
"You're convinced he's a spy just because of a can of food?"
Gu Lingxiao said, "Then there's his broken Mandarin, which has a bit of that country's accent. Normally, there's nothing to hide. What often needs to be hidden is what he doesn't want people to know."
Lu Zhixia thought this made sense. She had been sound asleep when she was woken up and was now wide awake. Looking up at the young man sitting on the upper bunk, his eyes fixed on the opposite side, she couldn't help but tease him.

"I'm thinking—I'm so lucky to be alive today!" the young man said, then forgot about the man and woman in the lower bunk.
"Brother, sister, you are my second parents! I'll kowtow to you!" As she spoke, she struck a pose and kowtowed to them.
This was something they hadn't anticipated. By the time Gu Lingxiao went to help, it was too late; the girl had already kowtowed.
What are you doing!
The young man sat up straight. "This is the first time I've encountered something like this. That man actually had a gun in his bag. How come I didn't notice it before?"
"It'll be bad by the time you find out, so it's good that you're like this." Gu Lingxiao raised his hand and patted his shoulder to comfort him.
The young man felt much better after receiving some comfort. "Luckily I met you guys today. If only—"
He quickly covered his mouth; a person only lives once, and he hadn't lived enough yet!
Gu Lingxiao said, "Just get a good night's sleep and forget about it."
The young man nodded to indicate that he understood, and then slowly lay down.
Seeing that Lu Zhixia had calmed down, Gu Lingxiao sat back down and continued talking to her. They would arrive at their destination in less than two hours.
As dawn broke outside, Lu Zhixia glanced at her watch and realized they were almost at their stop. She began packing her things and then went to the restroom.
When everything was ready, we arrived at the station in 10 minutes.
"Xiaxia! I have an idea," Gu Lingxiao said softly. "If you don't want to, just say it."
"Go ahead," Lu Zhixia said, looking at him.
Gu Lingxiao mustered his courage and said, "I was wondering if you're not busy today, could you come with me to see the child?"
If she agrees, it means their relationship is more than halfway done.
Lu Zhixia could see that he really wanted her to go; the problem she had been avoiding had to be solved eventually.
"Gu Lingxiao, have you ever thought about your parents, or my identity—"
"Don't worry, they can't control me, and I won't let them interfere with your life!"
"But--"
"Let's try to move forward, shall we?" Gu Lingxiao reached out and took her hand. "Believe that I can make you happy."
“Okay, let’s give it a try.” Lu Zhixia chose to trust him and follow her heart.
Gu Lingxiao was incredibly excited, even more so than when he confessed his feelings last time, because this was a formal acceptance.
"Are you coming with me today? The little guy is very cute!"
“Okay, I’ll go with you to take a look,” Lu Zhixia replied.
[Dear passengers, the train is about to arrive at the station. Please take your luggage and line up to disembark!]
The announcement was repeated twice, and then the people around started to move, grabbing their luggage and queuing up.
They were the same, except that Gu Lingxiao played the biggest role and took everything he could.
Lu Zhixia looked at the two large duffel bags, which contained the things she had bought from the wholesale market. If they could be sold, she could buy a batch of goods to sell during this period.

Lu Zhixia saw Xiao Wang riding a bicycle not far away, with an ice cream box on the back seat.
The two cars met.
"Sis, you're back?"
"Yes, I just got back."
"Then I'll come find you later!"
