Lu Zhixia only realized Gu Lingxiao had arrived when she heard the sound, and turned to say to him,
"We just chatted for a bit. Lan and I made some dumplings and braised pork ribs. I was thinking of giving these to your parents for their journey, is that alright?"
"That's fantastic!" Gu Lingxiao casually picked up a dumpling from the curtain, stuffed it into his mouth, gave a thumbs up, and said after swallowing the dumpling.
"This tastes so fresh, it's so delicious!"
"You don't look like you've had breakfast?" Lu Zhixia asked.
Gu Lingxiao took the chopsticks that Su Lan handed him, "I was a bit busy this morning and didn't have time to eat!"

Seeing how affectionate the two of them were, Su Lan silently turned around and went back into the house, leaving them some space. She also took Gu Huailin back into the house with her.
Lu Zhixia picked up her chopsticks and tasted a dumpling. It was indeed delicious; she hadn't eaten any earlier because it was too hot.
"Maybe the pork is better today, it tastes better than usual."
Gu Lingxiao: "Don't worry! My parents will definitely like it!"

After the dumplings cooled down, I put them into lunchboxes, and then I put in a big box of spare ribs. I put all four big lunchboxes into a cloth bag.
I gave them three new pairs of chopsticks, wrapped them in a bag, and placed them to the side.
"Should we bring some garlic sauce?" she asked Gu Lingxiao. "Do your parents usually like to eat garlic?"
Gu Lingxiao tried hard to recall, then shook his head, "I didn't notice before."
Lu Zhixia said, "Then I'll just prepare a little something, and give them some chili oil too! And some aged vinegar as well."
Gu Lingxiao felt a warmth in his heart as he watched her busy herself; it felt so good to be valued.
After everything was ready, Lu Zhixia went back inside to call the children, and then they carried their things downstairs and got into the car.
Xiao Wang was responsible for driving them to the hotel.
Lu Zhixia was still a little nervous. Although they got along well last time they met, she had no idea how things would be this time.
They soon arrived at the hotel room door, and Gu Lingxiao knocked.
The door opened quickly, and Gu Dongsheng saw his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson arrive. A smile immediately spread across his face.
"Come in quickly!"
Lu Zhixia stepped inside and saw their smiling faces, which made her nervousness disappear.

Lu Zhixia knew that she couldn't refuse a gift from her elders, so she nodded emphatically.
"We will!"
Li Xuehua was truly happy. Her grandson's marriage was a major worry for her, but she didn't know if her health would allow her to live to see the wedding. She would have to take medication frequently after returning home. She hoped to see her grandson get married before she could graduate with peace of mind.
