The two looked at each other and smiled, then realized they shouldn't be too loud, so they quickly covered their mouths with their hands, their actions remarkably synchronized.
After laughing, Lu Zhixia put her hand down. "Being with you is quite enjoyable, there's a strange sense of humor in it."
Zhou An'an took a sip of water and put down the cup. "To be honest, you're not the first person to say this to me. Back in the dorm, they said the same thing."
They think I'm heartless and don't take even the most difficult things to heart.
Lu Zhixia said, "It's not easy for someone like you to do what you do."
Zhou An'an reached out and turned on the light, then looked down at her toenails and thought they were a bit long, so she asked...
Do you have nail clippers in your bag?
Lu Zhixia went downstairs, took the bag from the opposite bed, opened it, reached out and found the key after a few touches, and then tossed it to her.
Zhou An'an took out nail clippers from the key box and then trimmed her toenails.

They both looked towards the next room, where they heard a woman crying for help.

So they got out of bed at the same time, then quietly put on their shoes and went to the other side of the bed to listen against the wall.

Upon confirming that he had heard a cry for help, Zhou An'an turned around to go and rescue the person.
Lu Zhixia quickly pulled her back and whispered in her ear,
"I wonder how many people are inside. If it's just one person, that's fine, but what if there are many?"
Zhou An'an stopped in her tracks. "In that case, we'll have to report it to the police first."
The sound of slapping came, followed by thuds, like someone banging their head against a wall or the ground.
"Third Brother, don't kill him."
"It's her fault for being disobedient. I was just afraid those two women next door would hear!"
"By the way, didn't you say those two were quite good-looking and from out of town?"
"If we didn't still have some stock, I wouldn't have let them go."
The two women looked at each other; the person who had spoken was the same man who had knocked on the door earlier and told them to keep their voices down.
Then the man said, "By the way, when can they come to pick up the goods?"
After a few seconds, I thought, "Anyway, it won't make a difference if she cries out for a day or two. Just don't let her yell anymore."
"It's so noisy, go to sleep!" a third man's voice rang out.
Lu Zhixia knew there were many people in the room, and it was even more important not to go out rashly at this time, so she pulled Zhou An'an back.
After a while, once they were sure there was no more noise, they opened the door.
As soon as I stepped outside, I saw that the door next door had also opened, and another bald man was coming out to use the restroom.
Upon unexpectedly encountering them, Lu Zhixia reacted quickly and grabbed Zhou An'an, fearing that she might act impulsively and rush forward to pin them to the ground.
The man's eyes swept them up and down, then he blew a lewd whistle and began to speak.
"Going to the toilet?"

"The toilet's pretty dark, do you want me to come with you?" the man said in a sleazy tone. "With your looks, you might get harassed by ghosts if you go in!"
"If you can't speak, then shut your mouth!" Zhou An'an said.
The bald man had no other plans, so he whistled and walked toward the toilet.
They were out reporting a crime, and if they didn't go to the restroom, it would arouse the other party's suspicion, so they could only follow behind the man, keeping a certain distance.
After the bald man went into the men's restroom, they went into the women's restroom as well.
The two toilets shared a wall, so they didn't speak.
Instead, she waited until the man finished using the toilet and left.
Lu Zhixia said, "If none of us go back, it will definitely arouse their suspicion."
Zhou An'an immediately said, "Then I'll go back and you can report it to the police."
Lu Zhixia said, "No, you're more familiar with the work process, so you can bring the person over directly after you arrive."
Zhou An'an was worried about her safety, "Why don't you come with me and stay here? I'm afraid something might happen."
Lu Zhixia: "No, I know what I'm doing. I'll just lock the door from the inside."
Zhou An'an thought that this was the only way, so he nodded in agreement.
They walked out of the restroom and saw that the doors to the next stalls were all closed.
They parted ways at the stairwell, and Zhou An'an went downstairs to report the incident.
Lu Zhixia slowly walked back, and just as she pulled on the handrail, the door next door opened again.
The bald man squinted at her, "Why are you all alone?"
"What are you going to do?" Lu Zhixia gripped the doorknob and then deliberately looked towards the toilet.
Seeing the woman's actions, the bald man realized another woman was in the restroom, and that's when he spoke.
"It's alright!" He didn't want to make a big deal out of it, otherwise he would have gone to the bathroom to check, closed the door, and stood at the door listening.
Lu Zhixia quickly opened the door, went inside, and closed the door behind her.
Hearing the door close next door, the bald man finally let go.
Turning around, I saw two brothers sleeping together, which was really an eyesore. Turning my head, I saw a woman tied up in the corner. Her mouth was covered with a white cloth, her hands were tied behind her back, but her legs were not tied. There were clear marks on her thighs, and you could vaguely see blood.
"Be smart, or you'll regret it!" The bald man said before lying down on the bed.
His gaze involuntarily drifted to the wall. He felt that the two women next door were acting a bit strange, so he didn't close his eyes to sleep. Instead, he waited for the other woman to come back from the bathroom.
Lu Zhixia tossed and turned on the bed, wondering when Zhou An'an would bring the woman back. There was no sound from the next room, so she guessed the woman must have been subdued.
