The two were so affectionate that they almost engaged in adult activities on the sofa.
The door was pushed open.
Song Lingling came in from outside and was completely stunned to see her brother hugging Chen Jianing.
How could those two be so shameless? Their clothes were so disheveled; anyone with eyes could tell what was going on.
When Song Weidong saw his sister, who hadn't been home for many days, return, her hair was noticeably shorter, and she looked extremely haggard, as if she had aged several years.
She was nowhere near her previous energy and spirit, and she was wearing long sleeves and trousers, which were clearly not the clothes she wore when she left.
"Song Lingling! You still know how to come back!"
Song Lingling was so frightened by her brother’s yelling that she burst into tears. She had thought her brother would speak gently and ask her what had happened these past few days.
Chen Jianing was painting her nails with her head down, wearing a long, strappy nightgown. Her face looked a little swollen, and her carefree demeanor made her very jealous.
"Aren't you going to ask me where I've been sleeping these past few days?"
"I know you're alright since you came back alive. Go to school tomorrow and don't get in the way of us at home!"
Song Weidong always scolded and disciplined his younger sister; deep down, he favored boys over girls.
If Song Lingling were a younger brother instead of a younger sister, he would definitely have two different attitudes.
In his view, a married daughter is like water spilled from a bowl; she'll belong to someone else's family sooner or later.
Song Lingling felt desperate. Her brother didn't care about her at all and even hated her!
If Lu Zhixia were home at this time, she could cry while clinging to her!
Tears of grievance welled up in her eyes. "Are you still my brother? Can't you care about me even a little? I'm your own sister, the closest person to you in the world!"
"How old are you? All you do is cry! If you cry again, get out!" Song Weidong continued to scold coldly. "Other girls your age either have good grades or know how to do housework. What do you know how to do? All you do is ask for money and compare yourself to others. I've never seen you do anything worthwhile!"
Suddenly he noticed the hickey on his sister's neck, something that shouldn't be there. So he stood up, strode over, and grabbed her chin.
With his other hand, he pulled open her collar and saw the bruises left on it.
How could he not know that, as a man?
What does this mean?
His sister was violated by that scoundrel!
It had only been a few days, and he had always assumed that his sister was staying at a classmate's house instead of coming home!
The result was that she was with a scumbag outside!
His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at his sister, whose gaze was darting away.
"So what exactly happened? Who did it?"
"I'm fine," Song Lingling said, biting her lip. "I hurt myself by accident."
How could Chen Jianing miss this good show? She blew on her freshly painted nails. If she wanted Song Weidong to treat her well, she had to get rid of everyone around him, otherwise his mind would always be preoccupied with this or that person!
Lu Zhixia treated this family with utmost care and devotion, but what did she ultimately gain?
She got up, walked over, and grabbed his collar, revealing the bite marks on his shoulder.
Song Weidong was furious and slapped his sister.
"Shameless, despicable thing!"
"Do you really want to be played by men?"
"Then I'll marry you off to the countryside, where someone will take good care of you!"
Song Lingling realized something was wrong and rushed into the bathroom, where she saw teeth marks on her collarbone.
Some of her memories returned, and in a daze, she was helped to bed by several people...
"It's not true, none of it is true!"
She squatted on the ground and cried bitterly; her entire worldview had collapsed!
Outside.
Song Weidong lay on the sofa, his chest aching with anger, panting heavily.
Chen Jianing fanned the flames from the side, "Brother Dong, don't be angry. What's done is done, there's no use being angry!"
She poured the man a glass of water. "The most important thing now is whether you want to accept this or pretend nothing happened."
"What do you mean by that?" Song Weidong asked angrily.
"Women always have to go through this hurdle. If the other party is a good catch, then marry him."
"If you don't have much money, just pretend nothing happened!" Chen Jianing said indifferently. "Anyway, it's already like this, there's no use in you getting anxious, and there's no use in you hitting her!"
Song Weidong thought that made sense. His younger sister, whom he had raised, was now ruined, and he would never admit that it was his negligence that caused it.
His sister was blind and easily fooled. He went to the bathroom and saw the person kneeling on the ground with her shirt collar wide open, revealing her camisole underneath.
The marks were clearly visible, suggesting that it wasn't caused by one person. He took a deep breath.
"I'm not going to care about you anymore. Just pretend nothing happened. You should go back to school!"
"Brother, aren't you going to ask me what happened?"
"What's the point of asking now? You've just been ruined by a man, haven't you? You still have the nerve to come back? If I were like you, I'd rather be dead!"
Song Lingling's eyes widened; her brother was actually telling her to die.
Chen Jianing, who was standing at the door, went in and pulled the person away, glancing at Song Lingling before leaving.
The rift between the brothers is now so deep that it can never be repaired in this lifetime.
This is exactly the result she wanted!
Song Lingling stumbled to her feet, then went out and pushed open the door to the next room. She wanted to tell her mother that her brother wanted her to die.
She still has her mother, and she still has someone to rely on!
An indescribable smell wafted towards me, and I saw my mother lying unconscious, her face terribly thin.
