“I can remember your name because of your husband!” Ma Jianguo raised his hand to adjust his glasses. “Back then, I had just become an attending physician, and you were the second woman I delivered. Just because I didn’t check on you in time, your husband argued with me for hours and even punched me a few times!”
Lu Zhixia knew they had argued, but she didn't expect it to be this serious. The hallway wasn't a suitable place to talk, so she said...
"Can we find a quiet place? I have something to ask you."
Ma Jianguo was furious and said irritably, "First of all, it's my working hours now. I can't go out with you alone. If the nurses can't find me and the patient is in danger, I can't take that responsibility. If it weren't for Comrade Xiao Fu, I wouldn't even bother with you right now."
Lu Zhixia glanced at her watch. "It's a little past 10 o'clock." Then she looked up at him and said, "Could I borrow a few minutes of your time around noon?"

"Then you guys go wait outside. I'll come find you when I'm done!"
After saying that, he left with his hands behind his back, without looking at them again.
Lu Zhixia felt like a deflated balloon; she felt utterly powerless. The conversation hadn't gone smoothly from the start, and she had no idea what the outcome would be.
Gu Lingxiao patted her shoulder, "We won't be in a hurry."
Lu Zhixia looked at him, "Do you think I'll find any clues about the child?"
"Definitely." Gu Lingxiao gave an affirmative answer.
Because he could tell that the doctor was still bothered by what happened back then.
Lu Zhixia felt much better, realizing that it was because of Fu Yanlin and the others that she had taken the shortcut.
"I want to go downstairs to buy some fruit and deliver it to the ward."
"I'll buy it! Logically speaking, he's my friend, so you shouldn't argue with me."
"Alright then, you buy it!"
After discussing it, they went downstairs and bought a fruit basket and a pastry box from the fruit stand at the entrance, then carried them back to the ward.
Gu Lingxiao couldn't go inside, so he waited outside.
Lu Zhixia carried the fruit basket in and saw Fu Yanlin sitting in front of the hospital bed peeling an apple. Next to him lay a gentle-looking woman who seemed easy to get along with.
"Hello!" she greeted.
Fu Jiaojiao looked over and saw the woman staring at her. She felt strange. Who was this person?
Lu Zhixia placed the items on the table. "These fruits and pastries are what I could buy right now, please don't mind them!"
Fu Yanlin stood up at this moment, "Comrade Lu, what are you doing? Why are you buying things!"
"Of course! It's only proper etiquette," Lu Zhixia said with a smile.
Fu Jiaojiao then realized that the woman in front of her had come because of her younger brother. She looked her up and down and found that she was quite good-looking, but she looked a little older than her brother.
As the old saying goes, "A woman three years older than her husband is like a golden brick." Being a little older isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's just that it's hard for a younger man to keep his heart in check.
He doesn't look at any of the women introduced by his family or friends.
When pushed to the limit, he wouldn't come home for months at a time, making his parents extremely worried but helpless.
She wished she could turn back time and have another son. Later, the pressure to have children came to her, and since she wanted another child anyway, she got pregnant.
Thinking of this, she grabbed the other person's hand.
"Girl! How did you and my brother meet?"
Lu Zhixia was taken aback by the other party's excessive enthusiasm, which left her at a loss.
Seeing his sister's expression, Fu Yanlin knew it was a misunderstanding and quickly stepped forward to explain.
"Sis, let go of my hand right now, it's not what you think. He's my friend's boyfriend, it has nothing to do with me, he just wants to see Dr. Ma."
Upon hearing her brother's words, Fu Jiaojiao realized she had misunderstood, quickly let go of the girl's hand, and apologized.

Lu Zhixia's mind was filled with Fu Yanlin's words, "He is the person my friend likes." Isn't his friend Gu Lingxiao? Has he misunderstood something?
Now is not the time to explain this matter; she could only speak up.
"It's okay! I don't mind."
“That’s right. What do you need Dr. Ma for? Can you tell me? Maybe I can help.” Knowing she was in the wrong, Fu Jiaojiao tried to smooth things over. “Dr. Ma is a good person. His medical skills are excellent. You can rest assured if you see him for treatment.”
She wondered if the girl had some hidden illness that required seeing a gynecologist. The most likely cause was infertility, a very common condition. She had taken a lot of medication in her attempts to conceive.
Lu Zhixia immediately realized that the other party had misunderstood, and quickly said, "I'm not here for treatment, but to ask him about what happened 10 years ago."
“Ah, asking about things from 10 years ago? Does he even remember?” Fu Jiaojiao started eating an apple, crunching away. “I don’t even remember what I did 10 years ago. He’s so busy with work, how could he possibly remember?”
Lu Zhixia smiled awkwardly. She had only come in to say hello and did not intend to tell them anything, as new mothers should avoid worrying.
"If you can remember, that's good. If you can't, then we'll think of another way."
“That’s right. People have to look forward. As long as you keep moving forward, there’s no obstacle you can’t overcome,” Fu Jiaojiao said.
Lu Zhixia agreed with this statement.
I think so too.
Seeing how cute the baby in the crib was, I started to play with the baby. My hands weren't washed, so I couldn't touch the baby myself; I could only wave my hands around.
Seeing that the child responded to her hand, Lu Zhixia felt better and decided to stay a few more minutes. "Baby, you're so good? Is it a boy or a girl?"
