Lu Zhixia didn't want to get involved in other people's family affairs, so she handed the deposit slip to Zhou Cheng.
"I just paid 50 yuan."
"Why are there so many?"
Zhou Cheng was troubled by the amount on the table, because when he went home, he secretly gave his parents the more than 30 yuan he had saved as his private stash.
The deposit for the umbrella was given to Lu Zhixia, so now most of the money in the house is in Su Lan's hands.

At that moment, the operating room door was pushed open, and the doctor came out. He first took off his mask.

Then a hospital gurney was pushed out, and Zhou Yuanyuan lay down on it. So they followed the nurse to the ward.
The little bundle was pale, a stark contrast to its usual lively and adorable self.

The nurse quickly brought an IV drip and put it on the child.

"You mean the child was drugged!"

The doctor realized there was something going on that was beyond his control, so he nodded to indicate he understood, then turned and left with the nurse, giving them some space.

Zhou Cheng clenched his fist. "I didn't see her. I heard from the neighbors that she ran away during the chaos. Aunt Pang tried to catch her but failed. She's really too cunning."

Lin Yueru found women really annoying; she was just a doctor, not a god.
Lu Zhixia saw the little boy next to the woman, who looked to be about two or three years old. He was pale and had no eyes. He was sticking his finger to his throat.
This gave her a guess, so she went over.
"Ma'am, could your child be choking on something?"
"Let me think about it." The woman carefully recalled that the family had stewed fish last week, and the child ate quite a lot, but since then he hasn't been able to eat anything.
When asked, he only said he felt unwell and couldn't explain where it hurt, so she quickly picked him up.
"Tell your mother if there's something in your throat."
The little boy nodded, indicating that there was something in his throat, making it very uncomfortable for him to eat and difficult to speak.
Lin Yueru listened to their back-and-forth banter and turned away disdainfully. It seemed that anyone could be a doctor.
Lu Zhixia said, "I suggest you take your child to the dentist to see if there's any way to remove the thing stuck in their throat. It's been like this for so long, the child can't take it anymore."
The woman nodded gratefully, and only after the doctor had walked away did she whisper,

But his disdainful attitude is really annoying. Why would our little hospital hire such a bossy person? We have to be subservient to him when we see a doctor.
