Chapter 25: Comparing with Xiaobao

Xiao Bao stood to the side, his little face flushed red.

Although he was young, he was not ignorant and clearly understood that the other party was insulting him and preventing him from attending the Yuhong Class.

Xiao Bao knows he's different from other children, and he can't fit in with them. But he's been studying very hard; he can write, he can write numbers from one to thirty, which other children can't. He's not stupid.

Only a fool wouldn't know how to write numbers.

But faced with the other person's sharp gaze, he still couldn't lift his head.

He had been talked about before, but people always whispered about it in private. No one had ever openly and loudly insulted him like this, especially in front of so many children.

In that instant, he recalled the time someone had mentioned to his mother whether he was abnormal, and the look of shame and embarrassment on his mother's face.

She didn't say a word in her defense; instead, she felt ashamed because she was different from other children.

He subconsciously looked up at Song Yanzhi's face.

However, Song Yanzhi's expression was different from what he had imagined.

Instead of showing any embarrassment or shame, she was extremely angry.

"My son is just quiet and introverted, how can he be stupid? You also work in education, and you not only lack the noble qualities of a cultured person, but your words are even more disgusting than excrement."

Hearing the word "stupid" repeatedly infuriated Song Yanzhi.

These words were quite harsh, and they immediately startled everyone around.

After all, the other party is the director here. When people meet, they always bow and scrape, afraid of offending him.

Who would have thought that Song Yanzhi, who is usually honest, timid and cowardly, would be so tough today and dare to curse back like that.

They were quite surprised.

If it were them, their first reaction to this would be shame, and they would quietly take the child back home, or buy some nice things to plead with the director to make an exception.

They don't have the confidence to curse like that.

Xiao Bao was stunned.

Many people say this about him, especially the women in the family compound. They don't let their children play with him, and they say, openly or secretly, that he's not smart.

His mother had never defended him for this reason before.

Unexpectedly, his mother was standing in front of him today, angrily retaliating against others because of him.

Xiao Bao watched Song Yanzhi's slender back.

At that moment, he felt a sense of security and warmth from that seemingly frail figure.

Zhu Dajun was a bully who preyed on the weak and feared the strong. People usually bowed and scraped before him, and no one dared to scold him like that.

He even said his mouth stinks worse than shit.

He was so angry that the fat on his face trembled twice.

Didn't your boyfriend say that Song Yanzhi is easy to manipulate, timid and afraid of trouble?

It's completely different from what they said.

Although he had some doubts, Zhu Dajun remembered that his partner had said he would give Song Yanzhi a reward once he got the money. So he suppressed his worries, put on a serious face, and adopted the demeanor of a leader.

“You say it’s not true, so it’s not? Everyone in the family compound knows about your son’s situation. Don’t we all agree? If he goes crazy and hurts the child, who will be responsible? I’m doing this for everyone’s sake. We can’t let everyone be harmed because of you alone, can we? You can’t be so selfish.”

Those around him came to their senses and nodded in agreement.

"Yes, Xiao Song, don't force yourself. Everyone knows about your son's situation."

“It’s not that we don’t want you to send him to school, it’s just that his situation is really not normal. My son said that he looks at people strangely and it’s scary.”

"I'm not trying to be harsh, it's just the truth. He's already not very bright, so why does he have to go to school? Isn't that a waste of resources?"

Everyone agreed and supported it.

Song Yanzhi looked at these people; she saw them all the time. Their relationship wasn't particularly good, but it wasn't bad either; she hadn't offended any of them.

I never expected them to speak so rudely.

She laughed angrily: "Fine, you say my son isn't smart? Well then, today I'll let all you smart sons stand up and compare your brains with mine, and see who's really not smart."

Her words enraged the group: "Don't push your luck! We're just trying to help you. How can you compare your stupid son to my child? Can he even be compared?"

"Exactly, if I remember correctly, your son didn't start talking until he was four years old. I haven't heard him say more than a few words yet, and he still has the nerve to compare himself to us. Don't come crying to us later saying we bullied you."

The group mocked Song Yanzhi, but they were also furious that she was comparing their child to her own mentally challenged son.

This was an insult to them.

Song Yanzhi wasn't angry. He listened quietly before saying, "If my son loses, I'll leave with him without saying a word. But what if your son loses?"

"What a joke! My son losing to your son? That's absolutely laughable! If my son loses, I'll kneel down and apologize to you!"

Song Yanzhi ignored the other party's sarcasm and turned to Zhu Dajun: "Director Zhu, what do you say? If I prove that my son is not stupid, do you also have to apologize?"

Director Zhu sneered, "Who's afraid of who? If your son is really smarter than other kids, I'll resign from this position immediately and replace him with someone else!"

Song Yanzhi smiled.

"Okay, you said so. As long as the questions you give to test the children are within the scope of kindergarten, I will have no objection."

The group sneered.

Their children have been in the preschool for over a year, while Song Yan's little one has only been there for a few days, yet he dares to compare himself to them.
