Chapter 30 Who is the Thief?

"I didn't steal your book," Pei Jichuan said stubbornly, tears welling in his eyes.

"You're the one who stole it. No one else would take my things except you." Xiao Bao glared fiercely at Pei Jichuan, like an aggressive wolf cub.

He saw it all; when his mother was teaching him to read, Pei Jichuan would always be secretly listening nearby.

He would also stare blankly at his little notebook.

He couldn't find his notebook just now, so he must have stolen it.

Song Yanzhi was stunned by what he saw and quickly stepped forward, saying, "Xiao Bao, let go!"

Xiao Bao looked at his mother with a wronged expression.

He had a dream last night. In the dream, Pei Tiantian said that he stole Pei Jichuan's notebook, but he clearly did not steal it. Then his mother scolded him, made him stand, and didn't let him eat.

He wouldn't steal Pei Jichuan's notebook; he has one too.

When Xiao Bao woke up, he went to look for his little notebook, but he couldn't find it.

He suddenly became very angry; Pei Jichuan must have stolen it.

In the dream, she even falsely accused him of stealing his things, when he was clearly the thief.

Xiao Bao hates him to death.

"I didn't!" Pei Jichuan felt wronged for no reason when he saw Song Yanzhi appear, and burst into tears, crying his heart out.

It was as if they had suffered a tremendous injustice.

Song Yanzhi strode up to the two little ones, reached out and released Xiao Bao's tightly clenched hand from Pei Jichuan's.

This simple action led Xiao Bao to mistakenly believe that she was on Pei Jichuan's side, and his eyes welled up with tears of grievance.

As expected, Mom was faking it all these past few days.

Just like in the dream, she was still on someone else's side.

He hated her so much.

Thinking this, Xiao Bao also burst into tears, and the two children competed to see who could shout the loudest.

Song Yanzhi had a headache and scolded, "Stop crying, all of you!"

The two children stopped abruptly.

I'm still a little afraid of her.

Her little shoulder was twitching.

"Xiao Bao, tell me first, what's going on?" Although Song Yanzhi doted on Xiao Bao, he didn't want to spoil him.

She saw it clearly just now; Pei Jichuan didn't make a move, it must have been Xiao Bao who struck first.

Xiao Bao: "He stole my notebook."

Pei Jichuan: "I didn't steal it!"

Although Song Yanzhi didn't like the male lead, she knew he wasn't a petty thief.

He frowned.

"Xiao Bao, how do you know he stole it?" She looked at Xiao Bao.

Xiao Bao couldn't explain it, he just felt that way.

Song Yanzhi suddenly felt that the scene looked familiar. After thinking about it carefully, she realized that the same thing seemed to have happened in her previous life.

In her past life, Xiao Bao disliked the two siblings. She sent them to school but not him, which made Xiao Bao very angry. She even tore up Pei Jichuan's notebook.

She felt he was going too far and even hit him.

Later, they bought a new one for Pei Jichuan.

It disappeared again.

Pei Tiantian said that Xiao Bao stole it, and she believed her and punished Xiao Bao.

Looking back now, Song Yanzhi wishes she could slap herself.

She always believed that although she neglected Xiaobao, she hadn't treated him badly.

Looking back, I realize how much I went wrong.

Xiao Bao must have been so disappointed when she trusted the male lead and his sister.

Pei Jichuan wiped away his tears, feeling wronged. He really hadn't stolen Xiaobao's notebook.

He's not such a bad person.

He used to live at his aunt's house, and his aunt's son had wronged him in the same way.

His aunt never believed him and would even beat him.

He looked at Song Yanzhi in fear.

"Where's Pei Tiantian?" Song Yanzhi didn't look at his anxious little face, but noticed that Pei Tiantian wasn't home.

She narrowed her eyes.

The male protagonist is just cold-hearted, but he has a strong sense of pride; he would rather starve than steal.

So Song Yanzhi believes he didn't steal it, but Pei Tiantian might not be so sure.

Pei Tiantian is stingy, selfish, jealous, and vain.

They can't stand seeing others do better than themselves.

She had been fooled by Pei Tiantian's cute appearance before, so she never doubted her.

But at this moment, they believe that she is the only one most likely to do such a thing.

Pei Jichuan's expression froze. He remembered what his sister had said to him yesterday, and his face turned somewhat grim.

He knows his sister's personality quite well. Yesterday, from her tone, he could hear not only envy that Xiao Bao was able to go to school, but also a hint of jealousy.

Pei Jichuan knew very well that he hadn't stolen Xiaobao's notebook.

That leaves only my younger sister.

Because there are only a few people in their family.

"She...she went to Grandma Pei's house." Lately, my younger sister has been running to Grandma's house early every morning.

I don't know what they went there to do.

He didn't get back until evening.

Xiao Bao then remembered that there was such a person as Pei Tiantian.

His expression immediately changed.

Could it really not be Pei Jichuan, but his sister?

In my dream, Pei Tiantian was even more annoying than Pei Jichuan.

So he never liked her.

"Xiaobao, don't worry. I'll take you to your grandpa's house later and ask Pei Tiantian for the truth. If she took it, Mom will definitely get justice for you. Never fight with anyone again, okay?"

That's how Xiao Bao is when he's out; if someone tries to take his things, he'll fight back.

But he was physically weak and couldn't compare to anyone else, so he was always scratched until his face was covered in bruises.

In his past life, he was always causing trouble and became a street thug that everyone hated.

This time, the male protagonist didn't dare to fight him for fear of being blamed, so he held back. But if they really fought, Xiao Bao definitely wouldn't be able to beat the male protagonist now.

She wasn't worried about Pei Jichuan, but rather that he might get hurt.
