Chapter 124 Who Are You?

Chapter 124 Who Are You?

Shen Yan couldn't move her feet, and her eyes were a little red: "Aunt Yun, you came to see me specially, isn't the store busy?"

Chen Yan's leg was still injured and she couldn't stand or walk for a while. She was a little depressed and there were even tears in her eyes.

"Aunt Yun, I'm so grateful that you took the trouble to come all the way to see me."

She raised her head slightly and said softly, "Business in your store is always busy. I'm afraid you can't do without people, right?"

She knew Yun Suling best, and that business had always been inseparable from her.

In fact, Chen Yan knew it very well in her heart - although the location of Yun Suling's shop was not the most prosperous, it had many customers and a lot of things to do, so she was almost never idle from morning to night.

She knew that if Aunt Yun didn't really care about her, she would never leave so easily.

But Yun Suling waved her hand and said, "It's no big deal to close for half a day. It's not even the peak dinner time yet, so there are hardly any customers."

Yun Suling smiled softly, her tone gentle yet firm, revealing a considerateness that brooked no refusal. "It's only a few hours, so what's the big deal? It's time to prepare dinner now, and the number of customers hasn't increased yet. Even if we take a break, it won't be a big deal."

"I'll be out for an hour or so, no problem at all."

She said this in a relaxed tone, her face full of confidence in her control of time.

"I'll just be gone for a short while, and when I come back, everything will be fine as usual."

Shen Yan said with emotion: “Aunt Yun, why do you care about me so much?”

After hearing this, Shen Yan felt even warmer in her heart, and her eyes were filled with gratitude and warmth.

"I've always known you were a good person, but I never thought you would go out of your way to see me. Thank you so much."

Yun Suling patted her hands gently: "Silly child, why are you telling me this."

She reached out and gently patted the back of Chen Yan's hand, which was placed on the bed. Her smile was filled with the kindness and understanding of an elder. "Do we really need to be so formal with each other? You're a good girl I've watched grow up. Isn't it normal to care about you?"

Seeing that Chen Yan was in good spirits, she felt more at ease and didn't sit for long before hurried back to look after the store.

After observing for a while, Yun Suling saw that Chen Yan was in good spirits and her complexion was not as bad as before, so she felt relieved.

Thinking that she really couldn't leave the store for long, she stayed in the house for a few more minutes, then stood up, said goodbye, and hurried back to her store.

Song Weiwei took out the things in her hand: "Chen Yan, I brought the pen and drawing paper you asked for."

A moment later, the door was pushed open again, and it was Song Weiwei who had left for a while and came back.

She walked to the bedside and carefully unfolded the package in her arms, revealing a neatly stacked stack of drawing paper and several professional drawing pens of varying thicknesses. "These are the materials I bought according to your requirements. I've prepared them all for you."

"I've also prepared your leave application. Ask Assistant Zhu to sign it."

She paused and added, looking slightly smug.

"I've already taken care of your leave request. I went to the Human Resources Department's Assistant Zhu to get it signed in person. It didn't take too long."

"Assistant Zhu has heard about your injury and learned the details, and has agreed to grant you leave."

She explained while searching for her leave application, "I heard you were injured in an accident, and the company's policy is very humane, so they approved it quickly and didn't make it difficult for me at all."

"He also said that if Lin You sends the goods over there, it will not be shipped until next Tuesday. She asked you not to rush back to work on Monday."

Song Weiwei then mimicked Assistant Zhu's tone, saying, "'Department Lin's feedback is that the goods might not be shipped until Tuesday, so you don't need to rush back.' These are Assistant Zhu's exact words."

"She said you can take one more day off and go back to the company on Tuesday."

Song Weiwei nodded in confirmation, "In other words, you can rest for one more day and return to work next Tuesday."

Song Weiwei curled her lips, "In my opinion, Chen Yan, you should rest for a few more days and go back to work when your body is almost recovered."

Listening to these compassionate words from her boss, Song Weiwei couldn't help but express her own opinion, curling her lips in disdain. "I say, you should still take three days off to recuperate before talking about work."

Shen Yan shook her head, "No, I still have to keep working."

Shen Yan gently shook her head to reject her friend's kindness, her expression serious and calm.

"Thank you for your consideration, but I know this mission is also very important to the company. I am really worried about it and must go back to deal with it as soon as possible."

"Okay, Weiwei, let's go to Huating Road."

She then straightened the corner of her clothes, stood up and tried to stretch her legs, while urging Song Weiwei, "Now that we have all the materials and it's okay to ask for leave, why don't we go to the place you mentioned and start the next step."

Song Weiwei stopped her and said, "Don't worry, look who I brought with me."

Hearing her sudden decision, Song Weiwei immediately reached out to stop Chen Yan who was about to step forward, and turned around with a smile and pointed at the other figure standing at the door, keeping the secret with a smug look.

Shen Yan asked doubtfully, "Who is it?"

After hearing this, Shen Yan looked out the door with a confused look on her face, her brows slightly furrowed, her eyes wandering between the familiar outline and the vague figure. She couldn't help but ask, "What do you mean by that? Who is it?"

Song Weiwei called out to the door, "Come in."

Hearing Song Weiwei's voice, the people outside moved cautiously.

Immediately afterwards, the door was gently pushed open, and Cao Yangfei stood at the door, looking a little hesitant.

Cao Yangfei walked in slowly from the door.

His movements were somewhat stiff and his steps were slow, as if every step he took was filled with uncertainty.

He lowered his head slightly, his eyes evasive, and was not in a hurry to look at the people in the room.

Shen Yan opened her eyes wide, “Cao Yangfei!”

She obviously didn't expect to see this person again in such an occasion, and a hint of surprise and complicated emotions flashed across her face.

Cao Yangfei snorted when he heard her calling his name.

He curled his lips and looked away, as if trying to suppress some kind of inner turmoil.

That cold snort was filled with arrogance, yet also contained a hint of unconcealable grievance and unwillingness.

Song Weiwei explained, "Since you didn't go to find him yourself, I went there on my own."

Her tone was calm with a hint of blame, but more of it was concern for others.

"I went to his house to find him."

It was an afternoon, and Song Weiwei came to Cao Yangfei's house in person.

The yard was quiet and the wind was a little cold, but she knocked on the door without hesitation.

"This guy has a pretty stubborn temper. He said things like, 'One bridge is another, the other is another.' He said, 'We'll just pretend we don't know each other when we meet again. No one knows each other.'"

Facing her visit, Cao Yangfei was very cold at first. He spoke firmly, each word becoming more and more harsh, as if he didn't want to have any more interactions with her.
