Chapter 221 Vineyard

Li Muchen's eyes swept over the bottles of wine from the recently acquired winery on his desk, and he thought to himself, "Although we've acquired several wineries, without high-quality vineyards, we lack a foundation. Just like a building without a solid foundation, it can't last long. Those vineyards are the source of the wine industry, the real lifeblood."

He frowned, and a hint of determination flashed in his eyes, as if he had made up his mind.

At this moment, he thought of his woman Victoria.

Victoria was a smart and capable woman, and he believed that if he handed the matter over to her, she would be able to handle it properly.

He sat up straight and reached out to press the call button on his desk.

After a while, Victoria gently pushed open the office door and walked in.

She was wearing a well-tailored business suit that perfectly outlined her graceful figure.

Her hair was neatly tied behind her head, revealing her fair and slender neck. She had a faint smile on her face, and her eyes were full of tenderness and respect for Li Muchen.

"Honey, are you looking for me?" Victoria asked softly. Her voice was as clear and pleasant as a mountain spring.

Li Muchen looked at her with a gentle smile on his face and said, "Victoria, I have an important matter that I want to entrust to you."

Victoria walked to Li Muchen's desk, bent down slightly, looked at Li Muchen with curiosity and expectation in her eyes, and said, "What's the matter, dear?"

Li Muchen stood up, walked to the window, put his hands behind his back, looked at the city view outside the window, and said slowly: "As you know, I recently acquired several wineries. But I feel that this is not enough. Without high-quality vineyards, a winery is like water without a source. So I want you to buy some vineyards for me."

Victoria's eyes widened slightly, she knew it was a difficult task, but her eyes quickly filled with confidence.

She straightened up and said, "My dear, this is a very far-sighted decision. However, buying a vineyard is not a simple matter. Many factors need to be considered, such as geographical location, soil quality, grape variety, local policies and regulations, etc."

Li Muchen turned around and looked at Victoria with trust in his eyes. He walked back to his desk, picked up a document and handed it to Victoria.

He said, "I know all of this, which is why I chose you to do this. Look, this is some preliminary information about vineyards that I asked my assistant to compile. It contains some basic information about some areas and vineyards that may be suitable for purchase. You can start with this."

Victoria took the document and began to read it carefully, her expression serious and focused, nodding slightly and frowning from time to time.

After reading it, she looked up at Li Muchen and said, "Dear, based on this information, there are several places that do have great potential. However, I think I still need to go and investigate in person before I can make an accurate judgment."

Li Muchen walked over to Victoria, patted her shoulder gently, and said, "I trust your judgment. If you need any resources, just tell me, and I will fully support you."

A warm feeling surged in Victoria's heart, and she looked at Li Muchen with eyes full of gratitude.

She said, "Dear, thank you for your trust. I would like to assemble a professional team, including wine experts, land appraisers, lawyers, etc., to ensure that there will be no mistakes in the purchase process."

Li Muchen nodded and said, "That's a great idea. Go and form a team as soon as possible. Don't worry about the funding. I just want the best vineyard."

Victoria raised the corners of her mouth, revealing a confident smile, and said, "Don't worry, dear. I will definitely not let you down."

After coming out of Li Muchen's office, Victoria immediately started to get busy.

She began by reaching out to her business contacts, seeking experts with extensive experience in the wine industry, renowned land appraisers, and lawyers skilled in handling cross-border land transactions.

Victoria encountered some minor troubles while forming the team.

There was a wine expert whom she had high hopes for, but he was reluctant to join her team because he was working on an important research project.

Victoria did not give up easily. She went to the expert's laboratory in person.

When she walked into the laboratory, the expert was concentrating on studying a grape cell sample under a microscope. Victoria coughed lightly, attracting the expert's attention.

"Hello, Professor Smith. I'm Victoria. I know you're doing a very important research right now, but I want to talk to you about a project that may be more challenging than your current research." Victoria said with a smile.

Professor Smith raised his head and looked at Victoria with a puzzled look in his eyes. He said, "Oh? What project?"

Victoria introduced to Professor Smith in detail Li Muchen's plan to purchase a vineyard and the importance and challenges of this project.

Her eyes were filled with sincerity and anticipation as she said, "Professor Smith, your expertise in wine is something we desperately need. Our goal isn't just to purchase vineyards, but to build a world-class wine industry. I believe you can play a huge role in this project, and it will also provide you with more practical opportunities and resources for your research."
