Chapter 9 Heading to Hong Kong

June 26th is a day worth remembering. In the scorching summer heat, the sun blazed down on the earth, even the trees along the street were listless, their leaves drooping.

Thanks to the previous advance application and the help of a noble person, Li Muchen’s long-awaited visa was finally successfully obtained.

With longing and expectation for the future, Li Muchen began to pack his bags carefully. Outside the window, a breeze occasionally blew by, but it also brought a bit of heat.

The items in his room were a little messy, but he was concentrating on selecting the necessary items, his thoughts already drifting to Hong Kong where he was about to go.

This upcoming trip to Hong Kong is undoubtedly a major turning point in his life. He knows full well that this is an opportunity to break out of his cocoon and become a butterfly.

After everything was ready, Li Muchen and his bodyguard He Guang stepped into the plane to Hong Kong.

Inside the slightly cramped space of the plane, the faint smell of engine oil and the sounds of excited conversation filled the air. Li Muchen sat down by the window, the soft cushions slightly dented. He peered through the dimly lit window at the gradually shrinking city outside.

Back then, the city's skyline wasn't as bustling with tall buildings and traffic as it is today. But those neatly arranged low-rise buildings and winding streets also carried the lives and dreams of countless people.

As the plane climbed, the city became smaller and smaller in his eyes, like an old and fading painting.

Li Muchen's heart was filled with complex emotions, and he silently said to himself: "A new journey is here! In this turbulent era, I must carve out a world of my own." He knew deeply that this trip to Hong Kong would definitely be a key turning point in his life, where opportunities and challenges were everywhere.

Li Muchen and his bodyguard He Guang stepped off the plane and set foot on the vibrant and unknown land of Hong Kong. The bustling crowds, unfamiliar language, and unique urban atmosphere left them feeling both curious and a little bewildered.

As soon as they left the airport, Li Muchen and He Guang were stunned by the scene before them. The bustle of people, hurried along, and the interweaving of voices left them feeling momentarily bewildered. Li Muchen frowned slightly, his gaze darting through the crowd, hoping to find someone who could guide them.

At that moment, a short but sharp-eyed man caught Li Muchen's attention. He held a sign that read "Guide Service" and enthusiastically solicited business from passing travelers. Li Muchen approached the man and briefly exchanged a few words, learning that he was very familiar with Hong Kong's streets and alleys and could provide attentive service.

Li Muchen and his bodyguard, He Guang, exchanged glances and nodded, deciding to hire the man as their guide. The guide enthusiastically took their luggage and led them through the crowded crowd, explaining Hong Kong's customs and attractions as they went. Li Muchen listened attentively, silently pondering how to use this guide to more quickly adapt to this unfamiliar city.

Led by the guide, they soon arrived at a hotel with convenient transportation and a nice environment. Li Muchen stepped into the hotel lobby and saw that the spacious and bright space was elegantly and exquisitely decorated, the floor was polished, and the front desk staff were smiling and greeting every guest.

Li Muchen walked straight to the front desk, followed closely by bodyguard He Guang, carrying his luggage. Li Muchen politely asked the staff about the room situation and showed his ID.

The staff member turned on the computer and operated it with a slightly unfamiliar look, his brow slightly furrowed, and he muttered the steps quietly. Li Muchen waited patiently, without a trace of impatience in his eyes.

After a while, the staff member looked up and said, "Sir, please wait a moment. I'm not very familiar with this computer system yet."

Li Muchen smiled and nodded to show his understanding.

Finally, the staff member finished the operation and said, "Sir, we currently have standard rooms, deluxe rooms and suites to choose from."

Li Muchen thought for a moment and said, "Give me a deluxe room, one that's a little quieter."

The staff member checked the computer again, and after confirming, he said with a smile, "Sir, your room has been arranged. Here is the room card. Please take it."

Then, led by the waiter, they came to the room on the upper floor.

Li Muchen pushed open the door and stepped into this luxurious room. An air of elegance and luxury hit him. The room was spacious and bright, with a thick, soft carpet on the floor. Every step he took felt like stepping on clouds.

A large European-style double bed occupied the center of the room. Its bedding, made of high-quality silk, felt smooth and delicate, and was carefully topped with several fluffy pillows. On either side of the bed were exquisite bronze table lamps, emitting a soft and warm glow.

Opposite the bed is a large LCD TV, embedded in an ornate wooden TV cabinet. Next to the TV cabinet stands a vintage floor-standing vase, which contains several bouquets of fresh and beautiful flowers, exuding fragrance.

In the corner of the room is a set of comfortable sofas and coffee tables. The sofas are covered with soft leather, and the coffee table is made of smooth marble, with a set of exquisite tea sets on it.

Next to the window is a small leisure area with two rattan chairs and a small round table, where people can enjoy the scenery outside the window. The windows are hung with heavy blackout curtains and light gauze curtains, which can not only ensure good light blocking effect but also create a romantic atmosphere.

On the other side of the room is an independent office area equipped with a spacious solid wood desk and a comfortable office chair for guests to handle affairs.
