Chapter 1: Bound Upon Opening Eyes

Spring 1988, waters off the Dongsha Islands.

A rusty medium-sized cargo ship with its engines running at full power was rumbling toward the Philippines.

"Help! We need your help! Let us go!"

In the stuffy, cramped cabin, filled with the smell of rust and engine oil, there was a large cage containing two women bound behind their backs. One was screaming for help, while the other lay dying on the floor.

The one lying face down was named Chen Rou. Smelling the fishy stench rising from the lower deck, she was groping for the rope binding her hands.

That's aramid rope, which is wear-resistant, heat-resistant, and has an extremely low breakage rate. It is commonly used for mooring ships, marine scientific research, and deep-sea operations. Overall, it is one of the strongest rope materials in the world.

The knots were tied very professionally; you could tell at a glance that they were done by professional kidnappers or soldiers.

The girl, receiving no response to her continued shouts, called out to Chen Rou again: "Sister Rou, what's wrong with you? Are you dead?!"

She craned her neck and shouted again, "Help! Someone, please help!"

*

Chen Rou was originally a female special forces soldier in the South China Sea Special Forces of China in the 21st century.

Yesterday, she received a notice from her superiors to meet with Nie Zhao, Hong Kong's richest man, and to take over a terrorist case involving the Nie family.

Because it was the first time in her life she had taken on a case from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and because her superiors had instructed her to solve the case as soon as possible, Chen Rou stayed up all night reviewing the case files, and only managed to doze off at her desk when it was almost dawn.

When she woke up, she found herself on this ship with her hands and feet tied behind her back.

A flood of memories then rushed into my mind.

She time-traveled back to Hong Kong in 1988. The original owner of the body shared the same name as her, Chen Rou.

The original owner's husband was Nie Zhao, whom she had just been commissioned to help solve the case.

That's right.

Chen Rou, from the 21st century, had just met Nie Zhao once, and when she woke up, she was his wife from his youth.

The Nie family is a prominent family in Hong Kong, and the current head of the family is named Nie Rong.

He had two wives. Nie Zhao was the youngest son born to his late first wife, Han Yuzhu.

Nie Zhao and the original owner of this body were betrothed since childhood by their parents. Since they were both adults, it was only natural that they would get married. They had just registered their marriage three days ago and were preparing for the wedding.

But on the very night of their registration, the two met at sea for dinner and were robbed and kidnapped.

Based on the files she had read before transmigrating, Chen Rou roughly knew that the robbers were a group of private mercenaries from the Philippines, and their destination was also the Philippines. Afterwards, the robbers would repeatedly humiliate and torture the original owner to death.

Nie Zhao escaped by digging open the grave with his bare hands after being buried alive.

After recalling all of this, Chen Rou lay quietly, conserving her strength and recharging.

Her family has been in the police force for three generations. Her father died in a drug bust. She is the most outstanding special forces soldier in the Jiaolong Commando Unit. She often travels between the Red Sea and the Caribbean to carry out special missions. Her physical fitness is undoubtedly excellent. However, the original owner of this body has never trained like her. She is an ordinary person. The hot cabin can easily cause her to dehydrate and then become weak if she is not careful.

She needs to rest quietly to conserve her energy.

She and Nie Zhao were imprisoned separately.

The girl calling for help beside her at that moment was Nie Han, the daughter of Nie Zhao's deceased elder brother.

Despite the fact that the original owner of this body and Nie Zhao had registered their marriage, it was tragic because Nie Zhao had been studying, working, and developing business overseas, so the two did not see each other often and had not yet developed any marital feelings.

Considering that the original owner would feel uncomfortable being alone with him, Nie Zhao brought his niece Nie Han with him to dinner, only to find that they were both kidnapped.

Nie Han is four years younger than Chen Rou, only 18 years old this year. She is a chubby girl.

Suddenly kidnapped, she was terrified and kept shouting for help.

The hatch suddenly opened, and two fully armed men entered.

The leader, a bearded man, yelled in Cantonese, "You old hag, what are you yelling about?"

Nie Han asked, sobbing, "Where did you take my uncle? I want my uncle back."

He added, "My grandfather is Nie Rong, the richest man in Hong Kong. He's rich. If you let us go, he'll give you money!"

With a lewd grin, the bearded man suddenly reached out his greasy hand through the iron bars to touch Nie Han's face.

Nie Han saw the evil in his eyes and panicked, trying to avoid him, but he grabbed her hair and slammed her violently against the iron railing: "The richest man, Nie Rong, are you the richest man's daughter?"

"Help! Uncle, please save me..." Nie Han's head was smashed open, blood was gushing out, and she screamed in pain.

Behind the bearded man was a one-eyed man wearing an eyepatch. He suddenly reached out through the railing and violently pulled on Nie Han's jeans, trying to tear them off. On the other side, the bearded man was also pulling her hair.

Seeing that his pants were about to fall down, Nie Han struggled violently. With a hiss, his scalp and hair were ripped off by the bearded man.

She twisted and tried to escape, but the one-eyed man immediately drew his dagger from his waist and stabbed her several times through the iron bars, roaring, "Get over here and give me a good fucking..."

Nie Han's forehead was bruised and her scalp was cut. Blood rolled down her head like beads from a broken string. She curled up and begged for mercy: "Please, let us go!"

The two robbers didn't have the key to the iron cage, so they couldn't get in.

The one-eyed man, driven by lust, drew his long knife and stabbed at Nie Han through the iron bars: "You old hag, be smart and come over here!"

The cage wasn't big. Just as Nie Han dodged the one-eyed man's knife, the bearded man behind her also drew his knife.

"Come here and fuck me!" the two robbers shouted at the same time.

When faced with both death and assault, what should a girl choose?
