Because it was close to home, Nie Zhao carried his son and walked home.
And that girl named Li Meijia, whom A Yuan considered a little snotty, was A Yuan's neighbor.
Her nanny, always the most gossipy, rushed over and asked with a smile, "Why is Young Master Yuan crying? What happened?"
Actually, she overheard that A Yuan said his father didn't like his sister, and that his nanny had recently been reading books about how to raise girls. Nie Zhao was confused by the situation, but Li Meijia's nanny realized that Nie Tai was probably pregnant again.
Now you can tell the sex of a baby by drawing blood. Could it be that Mrs. Nie is pregnant with a girl?
The gossipy nanny curled her lip, waiting to get information out of A Yuan so she could sell it to the tabloids.
Although A Yuan shouted loudly, he didn't publicly accuse his father. He was angry, but he kept it to himself.
Only after his father quickly walked away from Li's nanny did he say again, "You can't not like fans."
Nie Zhao was away on a business trip for more than a week, and whenever he came home, all he wanted was to relax, so there couldn't be any guests at home.
Besides, he doesn't like Xiaominmin at all.
Under the scorching sun without air conditioning, he waited for his son for over an hour, his face turning red from the sun. What he needed when he got home was rest, not to muster the energy to deal with guests. His reply was perfunctory: "Okay, okay, Dad likes it."
It's strange, he said he liked it and wanted to kiss his son again, but A Yuan turned his neck away.
He saw right through Nie Zhao: "Hmph, Dad clearly doesn't like fans."
Children's thinking is more jumpy, and since Nie Zhao was away recently, Chen Rou didn't rush A Yuan to sleep here. The child sleeps with his mother, and in his mind, his father probably flattened his sister while he was sleeping.
So he patted his chest and said, "Little Nie Shenyuan, you're going to come with Mommy tonight!"
Nie Zhao looked at the wet nurse and saw her nodding with a smile. He understood that the little guy had gotten used to sleeping with his mother and didn't plan to leave. But that wouldn't do. Nie Zhao hadn't been eating or sleeping well outside and was now soaked to the bone. He needed to hold his wife to recover his energy. If he had to have his son in between, he wouldn't be able to sleep well.
And tomorrow, for the entire day, and then tomorrow night, he probably won't be able to rest until the early hours of the day after tomorrow.
He patiently coaxed his son, "A-Yuan is a big baby now, and big babies can't sleep with their mothers."
The older the child gets, the harder they are to soothe. A-Yuan said confidently, "Dad is older than the baby, so Dad can't either."
Sometimes even the wet nurse had to admire Mr. Nie's patience. He had never lost his temper with his son. He had a long stubble and his eyes were so tired that he had developed three double eyelids. When his son argued with him, he would not interrupt him rudely, but would patiently coax the child: "Daddy will sleep with A-Yuan, and Daddy will tell A-Yuan a story. Let's not bother Mommy, okay?"
That's fine, but A-Yuan doesn't like being held by his dad and struggles, saying, "I want to ride my bike, I want to run fast."
After Nie Zhao put him on the tricycle, he kicked it off and said, "Bye-bye, Dad!"
Sure enough, he started running, and Nie Zhao had to run to catch up. As he ran, a bunch of bodyguards followed him.
At the same time, Li Meijia's nanny dialed the paparazzi's phone number and was already revealing information about Nie Tai.
But when Nie Zhao returned home, he still didn't hear any good news from his wife.
Looking back, he realized that everyone had actually told him, but he really hadn't thought of it at the time.
There were two neon signs, one large and one small, in the lobby, clearly made by the Nie brothers. One had Chen Rou's name on it, and the other read "[Welcome to Dongzhifangzhu]". Surprisingly, Nie Zhao was wearing soft-soled slippers, unlike Nie Jiajun, who always wore his shoes up to the stairs and made a loud thumping sound.
He strode downstairs, nearly bumping into Nie Zhao, then immediately stopped: "Hello, Uncle."
Hearing a rumbling sound upstairs, Nie Zhao asked, "Is that Jiayu? What are they doing?"
Nie Jiajun said with a smile, "He's moving house so as not to disturb Xi Niang. Don't worry, it's just the two of us, and we've already finished moving."
The child has really grown up; he's even willing to move house so as not to disturb his mother.
After being away from home for more than ten days, Nie Zhao noticed a problem as soon as he went up to the second floor: the floor was super clean, but A-Kuan was wearing a hat, mask, and shoe covers, watching the workers vacuuming.
He glanced at the records on the wall and noticed that Uncle Ming used to vacuum every two days, but now A-Kuan vacuums twice a day. He thought his work ethic was quite good. Nie Zhao said, "Thank you for your hard work, A-Kuan."
Ah-Kuan said with a smile, "It's for my wife, so it's what I should do."
Nie Zhao looked around but couldn't find Xiao Minmin, so he asked his son, "Where's your little sister?"
Since Mom isn't here, of course my little sister isn't here either. Ah Yuan said, "She's with Mom, she's going home."
Those involved are often blinded by their own experiences. Besides, Nie Zhao had just finished praying to the Bodhisattva; he never expected his wife to get pregnant so soon.
Hearing that the wild little girl who caught snails had run off with his wife, he was secretly delighted, thinking that he no longer needed to socialize.
He had to coax his son so the two of them could take a proper bath together. Chen Rou would be having dinner with Master Er and Master Dong tonight, so Nie Zhao would only be having dinner with his son and a few of his nephews and nieces.
Children don't have a strong sense of time, and because they are always interrupted by adults, they tend to speak in short bursts. Today, Nie Zhao asked Nie Han to invite Song Yuanchao to join them for dinner. Now that Song Yuanchao is the son-in-law of the Nie family, he should start calling Nie Zhao "uncle." Nie Zhao even prepared a red envelope as a "change of address fee."
Mr. Nie still didn't want his wife to start a bodyguard company and travel all over the world, nor did he want Song Yuanchao to leave. He wanted to gradually transfer the responsibility of security for the entire Nie family to his shoulders.
