Unlike Nie Zhao, Chen Rou never had to change into silk pajamas at night; her pajamas were always a T-shirt and shorts.
But today, when I saw the silk nightgown hanging in the closet, I had a sudden inspiration and put it on.
It's the weekend, and both Nie Han and Nie Jiayu are home. They both wanted to talk to her. Nie Han went upstairs several times, asking Chen Rou to walk the dog with her, but Chen Rou refused. She went to bed at 10 o'clock.
After getting into bed, she first called Li Xia to ask how her English was going and how she was doing lately.
Li Xia seemed particularly happy today, and even said to Chen Rou, "By the way, Miss Chen, my husband, who is away on a business trip, called me today. And you know what? He knows you too. He said he's met you."

For Li Xia, it had been half a year since she had seen her husband. After all, he was a soldier, and being able to take a month's leave a year was already considered good. He was still holding a bouquet of flowers and was about to say something when Chen Rou gestured for him to shut up. She turned around and went up the stairs. In the blink of an eye, she was already on the third floor. She tiptoed towards the flower room, wanting to see if it was really Nie Han crying.
Most of the time she cried, it was because she was angry with Nie Jiayu. She also had to see if Nie Jiayu needed to be dealt with.
But as soon as she reached the entrance of the flower room, she heard the maid, Chang Ma, say, "Men are all the same. No matter how beautiful a woman is, they'll get tired of her after a while and go out to try something new. Your husband has already apologized to you, so why are you crying?"
It turned out to be the maid who was in charge of the garden at home, and it sounded like her husband was having an affair.

Kuang held the flowers high and said with a smile, "The boss said there's been a serious incident at the offshore mine. He has to go there and won't be back until 3 a.m. at the earliest. I won't bother you any longer. Come downstairs... and sleep with me."
Kwong lived in the downstairs bedroom, and Nie Zhao slept downstairs; it was indeed with Kwong.
Chen Rou had never felt that way before, the kind of suspicion that her husband might cheat on her and the resulting unhappiness. But just now, she did. While Chang Ma and the gardening maid were chatting, she suddenly imagined what she would be like if Nie Zhao cheated on her 15 years from now.
She found herself getting extremely angry, and might even slash Nie Zhao with a knife.
Moreover, she noticed that Kwong's eyes were darting around and he didn't dare to look at her, which made Chen Rou even more suspicious. She wondered if Boss Nie was planning to cause some internal trouble while still dealing with external problems, and that he would cause a fire in her backyard.
She abruptly stopped in the corridor and looked at Kwong: "That's not right."
Kwong's eyes darted around more and more, and he held the flowers high: "What, what's wrong?"

If Nie Zhao were to cheat on her, Chen Rou would only be slightly angry, and she wouldn't even turn against him.
