Lin Xuemei was packing her things when she heard her complaint. She straightened up and rolled her eyes at the person on the upper bunk.
"We'll move out right away and won't move back until after the exams! You'll be all alone in the dorm for a while, so you can be as quiet as you like, no one will bother you!"
Hearing this, Zhou Xiaoyan was secretly pleased and quickly peeked out. Seeing that they were indeed packing their luggage, she couldn't help but smile.
Hmph, so you're still afraid of me after all!
It seems that you have to be tough when you're in a relationship; whoever is weak will suffer!
She cleared her throat, her tone becoming even harsher.
"If you're going to move things, can you please not be so loud? Don't you care about other people's feelings at all? I hate all the banging and clanging noise in the house!"
Ye Linchen was helping Li Hongying pack her clothes when he heard this, and his anger flared up instantly.
Zhou Xiaoyan said that everyone's studying was affecting her sleep, and everyone was trying to find ways to avoid it, even moving out as she suggested.
But she didn't understand everyone's good intentions at all, and instead became even more unreasonable and demanding.
Ye Linchen had no intention of indulging her anymore.
Ye Linchen put down what he was holding, strode over to Zhou Xiaoyan's bedside, stared at her and said, word by word, "You think it's noisy? If you're so capable, go live in a single room! In a multi-person dormitory, who can guarantee there won't be any noise? Do you really think you're a princess, that everyone has to shut up and act according to your whims the moment you appear?"
Zhou Xiaoyan was taken aback when she saw her rushing over to confront her. She paused for a moment, then retorted defiantly, though her voice was much softer than before.
"But... but you can't be this noisy, it's disturbing my rest..."
"Resting? You're resting with a book in your hand?" Ye Linchen interrupted her rudely.
"Yes, I read to relax! Is that not allowed?"
Zhou Xiaoyan glanced at her own book and tried to argue her point.
Wang Lina immediately voiced her support for Ye Linchen.
"She's just deliberately picking a fight! A while ago she went somewhere and didn't come back until after midnight, keeping us awake, and we didn't say anything. Now she's lecturing us."
Zhou Xiaoyan, unafraid of Wang Lina, immediately retorted, "What do you mean? Bringing up something from so long ago? You're so vindictive. I didn't..."
"Why can't we bring up things from the past? When you need to rest, others have to make way for you even if they're not studying. But you can't say anything when you disturb their rest? What kind of logic is that? So you're the only one who's precious, and everyone in the dorm has to cater to you?"
"If you want peace and quiet, go stay in a single room. If you can't afford that, you'll just have to put up with it!"
Zhou Xiaoyan's chest heaved with anger, her lips trembling as she tried to retort, but she felt a little intimidated when she met Ye Linchen's cold eyes.
She knew how formidable Ye Linchen was.
Even a troublemaker like Zhang Tingting could be knocked to the ground, how could my small body dare to go head-to-head with her?

She cursed under her breath, then slammed the bed curtains shut, shrank inside, and dared not make another sound.
Wang Lina's eyes lit up as she watched, and she couldn't help but give Ye Linchen a thumbs up.

Lin Xuemei looked at the bed curtains that Zhou Xiaoyan had drawn, and all the resentment in her heart vanished.
It seems that you can't be polite when dealing with this kind of person!
Zhou Xiaoyan gave up and didn't respond to their words.
The four exchanged glances, quickly packed their luggage, and moved out of the dormitory.
First, we took Wang Lina to her short-term rental apartment and gave her a tour.
This apartment is right next to the main gate of the school, in the staff quarters of a research institute.
There are only three buildings inside, and it's very quiet with hardly anyone around.
Wang Lina rented a small single room; the room wasn't very big.
Because it was on the first floor, the lighting was a bit dim, but it was clean and tidy.
The room was fully furnished, but Wang Lina only rented it for one month, so the rent was a bit expensive.
"How is it? Not bad, right?"
Wang Lina threw her luggage on the sofa and asked expectantly.
"It's great, living alone is quiet!" Lin Xuemei was quite satisfied.
"I rented this place because I felt it was quiet and there was a security guard at the entrance."
“Indeed, safety is the most important thing for a girl living alone,” Ye Linchen added.
"Yes, yes, from now on you should stay home at night and not go out," Li Hongying instructed Wang Lina.
"I know, thank you for your concern." Wang Lina smiled.
After saying goodbye to Wang Lina, Ye Linchen took Lin Xuemei and Li Hongying back to his rented room.
As soon as she entered, Lin Xuemei couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
"Wow! Xiaochen, you've rented such a great place! It's spacious and bright, a hundred times better than our dorm!" She added quietly, "Much better than Lina's room."
Ye Linchen smiled and said, "My building was only recently renovated; it's a bit newer than hers."
Li Hongying looked around the room and exclaimed, "How much does this cost a month? You're so generous!"
Ye Linchen smiled and said, "I'm renting long-term, so there's a discount, it's not very expensive. If you like it, feel free to come and visit whenever you have time."
"Okay, that's what I've been waiting for." After pacing around for a while, Lin Xuemei said to Ye Linchen, "We have to pay rent since we're staying here! Otherwise, I'll feel bad."
Li Hongying quickly chimed in, "Yes, yes, yes! Even close brothers should keep clear accounts; you absolutely have to have this money!"
Ye Linchen smiled and declined, "What kind of relationship do we have? We're comrades in the same trench, why be so polite? Besides, it's only for a little over a week, so it's hard to calculate the cost."
