Chapter 306 Wishing You a Happy New Year

Ye Linchen gritted his teeth and used his tutoring fees to buy this pager as a treat for himself during the Chinese New Year.

It's much more convenient to be able to see the text directly than the old one that could only display numbers.

Ye Linchen stared at that short line of text and read it twice.

She felt her cheeks getting hot, and the corners of her mouth involuntarily turned up.

My heart felt like it had been filled with honey, sweet and tender, yet tinged with a shy embarrassment.

She put the pager on the table, turned around, and walked back to the door.

I put my down jacket back on, grabbed my keys, and ran downstairs quickly.

"It's me, Ye Linchen."

Ye Linchen spoke, his voice tinged with laughter.

To free her hands, she turned to the side and held the black receiver between her shoulder and ear.

The two free hands were immediately put together and rubbed together to warm the fingertips that were a little stiff from the cold.

"I saw your message," she said with a smile.

"What would you like to eat after you arrive tomorrow?"

"Also, where would be a convenient place for us to meet?"

Her tone was relaxed and natural, as if she were asking an old friend.

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, followed by Gu Jingran's clear, soft laughter.

He seemed to have thought of this beforehand, suggesting, "The hot pot we ate at last time was really good."

"How about we go eat hot pot instead?"
