Meng Zihan struggled to support Gu Yifei, her gaze falling on the two people at the door.
Ye Linchen stood under the neon lights, his expression cold, staring straight at her.
Gu Jingran stood beside her, tall and slender, exuding a cold aura.
Meng Zihan blurted out, "What are you doing here?"
Ye Linchen stepped forward, blocking Meng Zihan's path: "Meng Zihan, what are you trying to do by getting Gu Yifei drunk?"
Meng Zihan glared at her fiercely.
You ungrateful country bumpkin, you disappeared when I needed you, what are you trying to prove now!
Meng Zihan ignored her and looked pitifully at Gu Jingran, saying, "Brother Jingran, I didn't get Brother Yifei drunk. I... I just wanted to help Brother Yifei. He drank too much, and I was afraid something would happen to him..."
Gu Jingran glanced at her, said nothing, just pursed his lips and reached out to help Gu Yifei.
Meng Zihan was not about to let him take Gu Yifei away like that, so she helped Gu Yifei back a little.
Gu Jingran frowned: "My brother is none of your concern."
A ruthless glint flashed in Meng Zihan's eyes. She gripped Gu Yifei's arm tightly with both hands, her voice soft yet threatening.
"No, Yifei was in a really bad mood today, that's why he got drunk. I don't know if he had some kind of disagreement with his family, and I'm worried about him going with you."
"Jingran, believe me, I meant no harm. I just... just wanted to comfort him, take care of him, and let him know that I am his friend and will always stand by his side."
Seeing her like this, Ye Linchen roughly guessed what she was thinking.
She sneered, "Meng Zihan, do you really think everyone else is a fool? Do you really think we don't know what you're up to?"
Meng Zihan frowned angrily, but still put on a pitiful look.
"Cousin, why are you always targeting me? I just genuinely wanted to help him, why do you have to think of me as so bad?"
"It's not that I think of you as that bad, it's just that you are inherently bad, so don't pretend in front of me." Ye Linchen retorted directly, "How did Gu Yifei get drunk? Do you dare to tell us?"
Gu Jingran said coldly from the side, "Xiao Fei has always been very self-disciplined since he was a child, and he rarely drinks. Why is he so drunk and unconscious as soon as he comes out with you?"
Meng Zihan held onto Gu Yifei's arm tightly and whispered in her defense, "You don't understand Brother Yifei. He usually suppresses himself at home. Even if he has grievances, he won't say them out loud. He asked me out and told me what was on his mind. He relaxed and that's why he drank."
Ye Linchen retorted, "Really? Did he drink willingly, or did you deliberately force him to drink until he was completely drunk? He's in this state, and you're not contacting his parents or letting him go home. Where are you trying to take him?"
As Ye Linchen spoke, he turned around and looked at the brightly lit foreign-related hotel across the street, and then glanced at the "Ruchun" private hotel next to it.
"It's not this hotel; you can't check in without a marriage certificate. If I'm not mistaken, it should be this 'Spring-like' hotel, right?"
"Meng Zihan, what tricks are you playing? Do you really think we don't know?"
Perhaps it was because the three of them were arguing too loudly that Gu Yifei was awakened.
He opened his eyes and saw his older brother with a dark face in front of him. He immediately tried to stand up, swaying unsteadily.

Meng Zihan grabbed Gu Yifei: "Brother Yifei..."
Gu Jingran stepped forward and firmly supported Gu Yifei with both hands.
Meng Zihan refused to let go: "Brother Jingran, I'll take care of Brother Yifei..."
Gu Jingran stared coldly at her and uttered two words: "Let go!"
His aura emanated from him, instantly putting immense pressure on Meng Zihan, who unconsciously loosened her grip.
Gu Jingran ignored her and helped Gu Yifei to Ye Linchen's side.
Ye Linchen said to Gu Jingran, "Jingran, help Gu Yifei into the car first, I'll take care of things here."
Gu Jingran frowned, about to speak, when Ye Linchen interjected, "Don't worry, I can handle it."
"OK."
Gu Jingran nodded, not even glancing at Meng Zihan, and helped Gu Yifei away.
Seeing that Gu Jingran and Gu Jingran had left, Meng Zihan was too lazy to pretend anymore.
She reached up and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, her gaze like an ice dagger piercing straight at Ye Linchen.
"Ye Linchen, why aren't you dealing with your own mess? What are you doing meddling in other people's business?"
Ye Linchen saw the familiar expression on her face and sneered.
"Meng Zihan, after all these years, you haven't changed at all."
"Change? Why should I change?" Meng Zihan raised her chin. "My methods are enough to deal with you, why bother expending more effort?"
"Is that so?" Ye Linchen stepped closer. "Meng Zihan, do you really think you'll have another chance? We saw everything clearly tonight."
Meng Zihan raised an eyebrow and laughed arrogantly: "See clearly? Very well, then let's see if you can stop me, or... whether you dare to stop my next step."
Ye Linchen retorted, "Dare or not? What's there to be afraid of? Do you really think I can't guess what you're planning to do next?"
"Isn't it just about luring Gu Yifei to a hotel, having sex with him, and then using that to blackmail him into marrying you?"
"Meng Zihan, you don't really think this will work, do you?"
Meng Zihan's eyes flickered, but she still pretended to be calm.
"Ye Linchen, not everyone is as filthy as you. Besides, Gu Yifei and I grew up together and we have feelings for each other. Otherwise, why would he be willing to come out with me? What happens between Gu Yifei and me is between the two of us. What does it have to do with you, an outsider?"
