Ye Linchen had just returned from the library, carrying several thick textbooks upstairs, when he saw a figure struggling to push a large suitcase through the door of his dormitory building.
That figure looks familiar.
"Does anyone need help?" she asked as she stepped forward.
The man turned around, his sweaty but handsome face initially showing confusion, which then transformed into immense joy.
"Teacher Ye... Teacher Ye?!"
Ye Linchen was also stunned, and the book in his hand almost slipped from his grasp: "Zhao Yutong?"
"Teacher Ye! It really is you!"
Zhao Yutong blushed with excitement, her eyes sparkling with delight.
Ye Linchen walked over quickly, feeling just as surprised and delighted as she did.
"You got into Jiangcheng University too? I heard you did exceptionally well on the exam, I never expected... you'd end up at our school!"
Throughout the summer vacation, she was busy tutoring and refining her business plan, and didn't have time to inquire about Zhao Yutong's final whereabouts.
"Yes!" Zhao Yutong nodded vigorously, her voice tinged with a hint of choked joy. "Thanks to you, Teacher Ye! If it weren't for your tutoring, I wouldn't even have made it to the undergraduate level. When I was filling out my college application, I thought... I should try applying to your school and major, and I never expected to actually get in! Teacher Ye, no, I should call you senior, from now on I'm your official junior!"
Seeing her radiant smile, Ye Linchen couldn't help but smile too, his eyes overflowing with warmth.
"What a coincidence! Which dorm room is yours? Let me help you carry your luggage in."
Zhao Yutong pointed to the open door and gave her dormitory number.
Ye Linchen's smile froze for a moment, then turned into a wry smile. She pointed to herself, then to the dormitory door.
"What a coincidence?" Zhao Yutong blinked in disbelief.
Ye Linchen laughed and immediately offered a hand, helping her carry the box inside: "What a coincidence, this is my dorm room. Welcome, my new roommate."
