"If you need any help, just come to me."
"Thank you, Brother Gu." Ye Linchen nodded.
After finishing their meal, Ye Linchen called the waiter to pay the bill. The waiter smiled and said, "Mr. Gu has a membership card here. He instructed that the money be deducted directly from his account."
Ye Linchen frowned.
"Brother Gu, I clearly said I'd treat you..."
Gu Jingran laughed and said, "Give me a chance today to celebrate your sale and making money. You can treat me next time."
With things having come to this point, Ye Linchen had no choice but to agree.
"It's a deal then, next time it's my treat, so don't secretly pay the bill again."
Gu Jingran smiled and said, "Okay."
After the two finished their meal and walked out of the hot pot restaurant, it was already completely dark, and all the streetlights were on.
Gu Jingran looked up at the dark sky: "It's getting late, I'll take you home."
He raised his hand to hail a taxi.
"I'll pay for the ride," Ye Linchen said quickly.
Gu Jingran laughed: "Fine, I won't argue with you."
The taxi sped along and soon stopped outside a small alley in a dormitory area.
The two chatted as they walked into the dormitory area, and before they knew it, they had arrived at the large iron gate of the dormitory area.
By the light of the street lamp, Ye Linchen saw a person standing in front of the iron gate.
The man was slender and tall, with his back ramrod straight.
The dim yellow light spread out, enveloping him and blending him into the deep night, revealing a touch of loneliness.
Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that the person was none other than Shen Yanlin, who had been missing for several days.
Shen Yanlin also saw her.
His gaze swept back and forth between the two of them, and his face darkened.
"Ye Linchen," Shen Yanlin called out to her.
"who is he?"
Just as Ye Linchen was about to speak, he heard Shen Yanlin asking one question after another.
