Upon hearing Li Hongying say that Wang Lina might be in a relationship, Lin Xuemei's eyes widened in disbelief.
"No way? I'm with her every day, how come I didn't notice anything?!"
"Yeah, she doesn't seem like it from her current state."
Ye Linchen recalled Wang Lina's words and actions, and it seemed that she did not have the shy and sweet feeling that one is in love.
He's still as carefree and straightforward as ever.
Li Hongying lowered her voice and said, "It's true, I saw it by chance when I went back to the dorm a couple of nights ago. Wang Lina was walking with a boy, and they were very close. They looked like they had a very special relationship." She thought for a moment and then emphasized, "Very intimate!"
Lin Xuemei's curiosity was completely piqued, and she quickly asked, "Who is that guy? Is he from our school?"
Li Hongying shook her head: "He doesn't look like a college student. He's much older than Wang Lina, probably close to thirty. He's quite tall, good-looking, and well-dressed. He looks very refined and even wears glasses."
"Really?" Lin Xuemei exclaimed again, her voice rising several decibels. "That's so unfair! She didn't even tell me she was dating someone! No way, when Wang Lina comes over tonight, I'm going to give her a good talking to!"
Li Hongying quickly advised, "Don't get agitated. There must be a reason why Wang Lina isn't saying anything."
“That’s right, stop being so gossipy and focus on your studies,” Ye Linchen added.
"I'm not gossiping! I'm just concerned about her."
Lin Xuemei retorted verbally, but inside she felt an unbearable itch, like being scratched by a cat.
She spent the entire afternoon distracted, scratching her head and eager to find out the answer.
This piqued the curiosity of Ye Linchen and Li Hongying, causing them to lose interest in their studies.
After finally making it to night, someone knocked on Ye Linchen's door.
"Coming, coming!" Lin Xuemei was the first to stand up, rushed to open the door, and pulled Wang Lina, who was standing at the door, inside. "You've finally arrived! Do you know we've been waiting for you all afternoon?"
Wang Lina asked curiously, "Why are you waiting for me?"
Lin Xuemei didn't waste any words and asked impatiently, "Lina, tell me honestly, are you in a relationship?"
Wang Lina hadn't expected her to ask that question, and her face flushed slightly as she said somewhat shyly, "What are you talking about..."

Ye Linchen nodded at Li Hongying, and Li Hongying immediately exposed him.
"The night before last, I saw a man escorting you back to your dorm. He was about 1.78 meters tall, thin, and wearing glasses. You two stood in the small garden in front of the dorm for quite a while before parting ways. After you left, he was still calling you affectionately from behind, 'Lina, take care of yourself and get some rest.' Is that true?"
"You saw everything?"
Wang Lina's eyebrows shot up in surprise as she asked.
"That's right, I was going to ask you, but Zhou Xiaoyan was so annoying that I forgot. Hurry up and tell me, I don't believe that he's just an ordinary friend, given how mushy he is with you."

She met the man last month when she went dancing at a dance hall with her classmates from the drama club.

Time flies, and soon it's final exam week.
This week's exams were also easy for Ye Linchen; he answered almost every subject smoothly and felt good.
After finishing the last exam, winter break will begin soon.
Wang Lina suggested that everyone have a meal together to celebrate liberation, which could also be considered an early farewell dinner.
The location was chosen to be a Northeastern Chinese restaurant near the school, which Lin Xuemei strongly recommended, saying that the taste was very authentic and that she would come here to satisfy her cravings whenever she missed home.
The four of them sat around the table and ordered a lot of dishes in a lively atmosphere.
After all the dishes were served, Lin Xuemei spoke hesitantly.
