Because of the cold voice, the coldness and sarcasm in this question became more obvious.
"Doctor Jane." The clerk next to her immediately called out worriedly.
However, it was too late. Dr. Jane's words obviously angered the fat man.
"Who the hell are you? You're just a veterinarian! What's your business with my dog? What's your business with me? You're just trying to make money from me. You're just a veterinarian, what the hell are you—"
With a "bang", the dart flew directly past the fat man's face and hit the plush puppy doll hanging on the door to welcome guests.
All of a sudden, the doorbell rang as if it was broken.
"Welcome! Welcome! Welcome..."
The fat man's voice stopped abruptly. Not only him, but everyone else in the store held their breath, frightened by this move.
"Get lost." The man sitting behind the cashier narrowed his eyes and uttered a word.
"Wow!" The little girl burst into tears in fear.
"You, you..." The fat man pointed his finger at the other man, but in the end he only roared in a timid tone, "Just wait, a black-hearted hospital like yours will go bankrupt sooner or later!"
As he said this, the fat man grabbed the leash hanging on the door handle, pulled the puppy and took his daughter away.
Fang Jianjin noticed that the fat man's movements were rough and violent. The leash was wrapped around the dog's neck. He pulled it so hard that the puppy spun on the smooth tiles, and the rope strangled its neck, and then it was dragged away directly.
"Sir, wait a moment!" Fang Jianjin shouted hurriedly.
The fat man frowned and stopped.
Fang Jianjin quickly put down the cardboard box, squatted down to help the puppy untie the rope around its neck, and when he looked down, he saw blood on the little guy's lower abdomen.
"Mind your own business!" the fat man roared, and he actually tightened the rope, lifted the puppy into the air, and pulled it to his feet.
Fang Jianjin's face froze. Before she could say anything, the fat man opened the door and walked out. The little girl's crying faded away.
The atmosphere in the store was eerily quiet. Fang Jianjin looked up and saw the man behind the cashier pushing a wheelchair out and driving straight into the store.
He turned out to be... a disabled person? Fang Jianjin was surprised.
As soon as he left, the low pressure in the store instantly returned to normal. One of the shop assistants couldn't help but complain, "Oh my god, I was scared to death just now. I thought Dr. Jian was going to kill someone. This dart is too accurate, isn't it?"
"That's right! But that fat guy is going too far. We have a price list and industry guidelines, okay? But he actually called us a black shop. It's obvious that he himself is reluctant to spend money to treat his dog!" Another clerk continued.
"Okay, stop talking. We have guests here." The man standing at the front said with a frown.
"What kind of guest is she?" The man who had complained earlier walked forward, looking helpless, and asked Fang Jianjin, "Little Jin, why are you here again?"
"Brother Dong, please help take care of Xiaobai!"
"Xiaobai?" The man looked down and immediately raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Ah, it really is Xiaobai!"
"What happened?" Others also came forward and looked at the puppy in the cardboard box.
"I'm injured. You guys help me take a look first. I'll go wash my hands." Fang Jianjin said as he walked towards the bathroom as if he was familiar with the place.
"Hey, are you offering us free medical treatment again?" the man turned and called out to her.
Fang Jianjin pretended not to hear and pushed open the bathroom door.
With just this push, she heard a "bang" sound. When she looked up, she saw the man sitting in the wheelchair looking at her expressionlessly.
The door hit the wheel of his wheelchair, so the sound was so crisp.
It looked like the man was planning to use the bathroom and was about to close the door.
Fang Jianjin felt a little embarrassed, and immediately curled the corners of his lips, apologized quickly, and reached out to help him open the door.
But when the door was halfway open, she pushed it open again and asked, "Um, are you big or small?"
The man frowned slightly, as if offended by her rude question, and his eyes became colder.
"No, no, that's not what I meant. It's just... I got bit by a dog on my hand and need to wash it right away. Let's use some soap and iodine. If you're a big one, I—"
"Excuse me." The man interrupted her next words.
"Oh." Fang Jianjin quickly moved aside, and then saw the man move the wheelchair back a little, open the door completely, and then push the wheelchair forward.
However, there was a waterproof threshold stone at the bathroom door. Seeing that the man was having a little difficulty pushing the wheel, she immediately stepped forward to help and bent down to pull the wheelchair for him.
As he leaned over, the distance between them became closer.
The man immediately leaned back, distanced himself from her, and said in a cold voice with a stern expression, "Get out of the way."
It wasn't "No thanks", but "Get out of the way", with a hint of command and displeasure.
Fang Jianjin let go of her hand awkwardly, quickly took two steps back, and turned around to find that the other people in the store were staring at her in shock.
The man seemed to have a low pressure on him. After he pushed the wheelchair away, Fang Jianjin went into the bathroom with a confused look on his face, and then ran cold water and washed the wound with soap.
This man is really strange, a new doctor?
Shrugging her shoulders, she began to wash the wound carefully, but couldn't help sighing as she looked at the wound.
Now, several hundred dollars of the salary I just received has to be spent on the hospital.
This is just the cost of vaccination, not serum.
I was careless too. I should have gone home to get the Elizabethan collar first.
With another sigh, she resigned herself to the wound on her hand.
Ten minutes later, the wound turned white. She then withdrew her hand, wiped the water off with paper, and applied iodine to the wound.
