Chapter 29: Grudges

Fang Jianjin was very surprised to see Jian Xiu, then quickly bent down to pick up the phone. When he found that the phone was not broken, he breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "You, why are you here?"

Jian Xiu reached out and turned on the faucet of the barrier-free sink, then replied, "I just happened to be passing by."

"Oh, you are eating here too?" Fang Jianjin finally reacted.

"Here?" Jian Xiu looked up and glanced around.

Fang Jianjin's face flushed immediately. "You know I wasn't talking about the restroom, I was talking about this restaurant. But what a coincidence! I didn't expect to run into you just when I was having a meal."

"It's quite a coincidence." Jian Xiu said as he reached out to pull the toilet paper.

Seeing that the place was a bit high, Fang Jianjin immediately took the initiative to help him tear off a piece of paper.

"Thank you." Jian Xiu replied.

"You're welcome."

Afterwards, Jian Xiu pushed the wheelchair forward and Fang Jianjin followed him out of the bathroom.

Fang Jianjin felt the atmosphere was a little awkward and didn't know what to say. At this moment, Jian Xiu said, "I'm here."

"Oh, I'm just ahead. Goodbye." Fang Jianjin greeted him and was about to walk forward when a female voice came over.

"Brother Xiu?"

Fang Jianjin looked up when she heard the voice and saw a girl in a brown windbreaker standing in front of the corridor, staring at Jian Xiu beside her.

For some reason, Fang Jianjin felt that Jian Xiu's aura seemed to have cooled down, just like when he threw the dart at the fat man.

At this moment, the door of the private room was opened.

"Ah, Ji Mi is here, come in quickly!" The man waved at the girl, then looked down at Jian Xiu and explained, "Ji Mi happened to need something from me, so I asked her to come over."

"Then you guys get together. I have something else to do, so I'll leave first." Jian Xiu said immediately.

"Don't, Xiu! We've finally gathered together, let's talk about—"

Jian Xiu had already pushed the wheelchair away.

The man quickly grabbed Jian Xiu's wheelchair and said, "Xiu, don't be like this. We all grew up together."

"Let go." Jian Xiu's expression was stern.

"build?"

"Let go."

The man sighed and finally let go.

During this delay, the girl also stepped forward in high heels. She quickly stood in front of Jian Xiu and explained anxiously: "Brother Xiu, don't be like this. What happened back then -"

"Get out of the way." Jian Xiu spat out two words coldly.

"Brother Xiu, I'm sorry. I didn't expect that to happen. Can you let me make it up to you? I..."

Jian Xiu closed his eyes, his veins bulging out, and took a deep breath, "I said get out of the way."

The girl tried to hold his hand, "No, Brother Xiu, listen to me."

"Get out of the way!" Jian Xiu waved her hand away, and because of his violent movement, his glasses fell out.

The moment his glasses disappeared, his face turned pale, as if he was extremely insecure, and he hurriedly shouted, "Glasses, my glasses."

Fang Jianjin, who was watching this scene nearby, finally reacted. Seeing that her glasses had fallen at her feet, she hurriedly picked them up.

"Dr. Jane, glasses!" She immediately handed over the glasses.

Jian Xiu grabbed her hand, touched her glasses with trembling hands, and then quickly put them on.

Fang Jianjin could feel that his fingers were extremely cold, and the cold pale skin on his face looked even paler.

Fang Jianjin thought about his reaction after losing his glasses twice before and felt very strange.

After putting on the glasses, he immediately pushed his wheelchair away, as if he was escaping from a flood or a beast.

The man next to him immediately rushed forward and stopped him at the elevator entrance, "Xiu, the past is the past, you can't keep—"

"If you ask me out next time, I will never come out again." Jian Xiu replied, and then the elevator opened and he immediately pushed his wheelchair in.

"Xiu!" the man shouted.

Jian Xiu, however, looked indifferent and let the elevator door close.

The woman also chased after him and looked at the closed elevator door with a painful expression.

"He knows you called him out for me, and now he hates you too." The woman's eyes were slightly red.

Fang Jianjin didn't know what grudge there was between them, but she was a little worried about how Jian Xiu would go back alone. She immediately turned around and hurried down the stairs next to her, just in time to see Jian Xiu pushing a wheelchair to the hotel entrance.

She hurriedly chased after him, but Jian Xiu pushed his wheelchair even faster after hearing the footsteps.

This was a downhill slope, and he pushed the wheelchair as fast as he could. The wheelchair kept accelerating and was even showing signs of getting out of control.

Fang Jianjin saw that the wheelchair was about to lose control and quickly shouted, "Doctor Jian, it's me!"
