When he entered the room, Hang Xingyi couldn't help but ask, "By the way, how long does it take to get vaccinated?"
"This may be a bit troublesome, maybe an hour." Fang Jianjin replied.
"Is that so?" Hang Xing glanced at the bag in his hand and asked, "Is there a place to store your belongings? Otherwise, I'll be stuck if you need my help later."
Fang Jianjin wanted to ask how he could help, but seeing his sincere expression, she nodded and replied, "Yes, I can."
Although she was a little curious about what was in his hand, she did not ask any more questions and immediately pushed the door open and entered the hospital.
"Xiao Jin, you're here." Ma Zhiyu called out warmly when he saw Fang Jianjin come in. Then he saw the man following behind her and was stunned.
"I'm here to get my injections and deworming," Fang Jianjin said, then put down her schoolbag on the table and asked, "By the way, can you help me store my things?"
"sure."
"Give it to him." Fang Jianjin said to Hang Xingyi.
Hang Xingyi handed the things to Ma Zhiyu, and after Ma Zhiyu successfully deposited them, he gave him the key.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome," Ma Zhiyu replied. Then, noticing the yellow and white cat in his schoolbag, he smiled and asked, "Is this Diandian? Is he getting the triple vaccine this time? And the rabies vaccine?"
"Let's test the antibodies first. If they are weak, just give the booster shot and there is no need for rabies vaccine." Fang Jianjin replied.
Hang Xing, who was standing nearby, couldn't help but wonder when he heard this. "No rabies vaccine? What if it bites someone?"
"Dian Dian has been vaccinated against rabies before." Fang Jianjin replied as he opened his schoolbag.
"Isn't it once a year?" Hang Xingyi asked again.
Fang Jianjin stopped what she was doing, turned her head and looked at him, explaining, "My family is high up in the corporate world, so I don't have the chance to go out at all."
Seeing that he was still puzzled, she added, "For a cat to get rabies, it first has to come into contact with an animal carrying the rabies virus and be bitten by it. And Diandian has been at home all the time, so she doesn't have any chance to go out. Even if she did go out, she wouldn't have the chance to come into contact with other small animals like today, so don't worry."
"Is that so?" Hang Xingyi was skeptical.
However, when he saw Fang Jianjin was about to take the kitten out of the bag, he quickly took a step back.
Fang Jianjin sighed inwardly upon seeing this, and then said, "Wait for me on the chair over there. I still need to bring some blood work and deworming."
"It's okay, I'm here with you." Hang Xingyi smiled, then took out his cell phone and stood aside waiting.
What was typed on his mobile phone screen was "Should cats get rabies vaccinations?"
Fang Jianjin ignored him and immediately took the cat out. Then he said to Ma Zhiyu, "I already dewormed it yesterday, but I haven't done the external deworming yet."
"I see. Come with me to choose the insect repellent."
"Let's use the same one we used last time."
"Brother Dong helped you last time. I'll ask him. So, just give Diandian to me. I'll take it to have its blood drawn."
"Okay." Fang Jianjin handed the cat over.
Ma Zhiyu reached out and took it.
"Meow!" Diandian cried.
Fang Jianjin immediately touched it soothingly and said softly, "Don't be afraid, I'm a doctor and I'll help you get rid of the parasites."
As she was speaking, someone suddenly grabbed her arm, and when she looked up, she found Hang Xingyi approaching.
"I think you should give it a rabies shot. I'll pay for it."
"Ah?" Fang Jianjin was slightly stunned, not understanding why he suddenly said that.
Hang Xing glanced at Ma Zhiyu, then immediately gripped her arm even harder, pulling her closer and saying, "Come here, I want to talk to you."
He frowned and looked serious, as if he was dealing with something important.
Fang Jianjin was completely stunned. After being pulled by him for two steps, he stood firm and quickly pulled his arm out of his hand.
"What do you want to say?" She also frowned, her tone both puzzled and unhappy, because she really didn't like this kind of touch.
Hang Xingyi handed the phone over, pointing at the screen. "I just did a search online, and there were a lot of different opinions. So I went to consult an online veterinarian. You see, the doctor said it needs a rabies shot. So I think you should give the cat a shot. It's responsible for yourself and others. I'll pay for the vaccine."
Fang Jianjin stared at his phone for a few seconds, then looked up at him, and then realized, "Do you think I'm stingy with the money? So you don't want to vaccinate Diandian?"
Hang Xingyi pursed his lips and didn't answer the question. Instead, he explained, "I just think you should be responsible for your cat and for anyone else who comes into contact with it. Besides, the doctor said it's always right to follow his advice."
Fang Jianjin frowned. "Doctor's orders? Then did you know that Diandian would have adverse reactions after receiving the rabies vaccine?"
As the two were talking, Liu Shengyi, the most gossipy person in the pet hospital, came up to Ma Zhiyu and asked, "Who is this man? He's actually pulling Jian Jin around."
"I don't know."
Liu Shengyi narrowed his eyes and analyzed, "Could it be a boyfriend? Look, these two are wearing matching outfits. He's in red and white, and Xiao Jin is in red and black. He must be a boyfriend!"
Ma Zhiyu carefully examined Fang Jianjin's clothes. He was puzzled. "Doesn't that black T-shirt have a red A on the back? And she's only wearing jeans, so how did they become black and red? How can this be considered a couple's outfit?"
