Chapter 4 Gentleman, you're black inside.

Chapter 4 Gentleman, you're black inside.

Wasn't he just standing in front of the flowerbed? When did he get here? He'd better not have heard anything he shouldn't have.

Without thinking twice, Risa decided to strike first.

She covered her red nose, looking like a delicate, innocent flower, and said with a pitiful expression, "Senior, are you a cat? You walk without making a sound."

Liu Sheng remained silent, simply gazing at her.

Risa felt a chill run down her spine as he stared at her like that. "Why...why are you staring at me like that?"

Yagyu's gaze lingered on her face for two seconds before he suddenly spoke: "Matsuno... Risa?"

Risa was stunned. Had she botched her performance?

Risa: "You...you know me?"

It must be her imagination, but she always felt that when Liu Sheng called her name, there seemed to be some kind of...dangerous meaning hidden beneath his calm tone?

"It must be my imagination," Risa reassured herself. Surely she couldn't be silenced just for witnessing a confession?

Yagyu pushed up his glasses, the cold light reflected from the lenses obscuring his eyes: "No, I just think... your name is interesting."

What kind of answer is that? Risa was about to ask further when she saw him turn around and stride away.

"Come with me."

"Huh?" Risa was taken aback. "Wait a minute."

Liu Sheng stopped and turned around: "Is there anything else?"

Risa wrinkled her nose: "Where to?"

Yagyu: "You'll know when we get there."

"..."

Risa was unfamiliar with the area and had no choice but to follow.

The April sun shone brightly, casting a long, slender shadow on the ground. Risa stared at his retreating figure, suddenly remembering something her younger brother had once said:

"Yagyu Hiroshi looks like a gentleman, but he's actually a black man inside."

While she was lost in thought, the person in front of her suddenly stopped, and Risa almost bumped into them again.

"What's wrong?"

Yagyu turned to the side and pointed to the room next door: "We're here."

"Where is this?" Risa looked curiously at the sign hanging above the door. "The Academic Affairs Office?!"

"Didn't Akaya tell you?" Yagyu continued, knocking on the door, "There will be a senior named Yagyu who will help you with the transfer procedures."

Risa: "..."

You little rascal, you must have grown up on some kind of cunning baby formula.

While it's true that she was engrossed in the commotion and forgot Kirihara's instructions, even if we assume otherwise, was he entirely without fault?

Just as Risa was about to offer a perfunctory thanks, she saw the corner of Yagyu's mouth slightly curl up:

"By the way, what exactly were you assessing when you were staring at me just now?"

Risa: "..."

...This guy is far too perceptive.

-

The teacher in the academic affairs office was a kind middle-aged woman who handed her a stack of forms to fill out.

As Risa lowered her head to fill out the form, she could feel Yagyu's gaze fixed on her.

—He was observing her.

She deliberately slowed down her writing speed and made her handwriting crooked, like a real 17-year-old high school girl.

"Matsuno transferred from Tokyo?" the teacher asked, looking through her file.

Risa nodded: "Yes."

"So the school's grades..." The teacher frowned.

Risa's heart tightened.

The original owner's grades were very bad, would she be looked down upon and rejected?

"It's okay, the learning atmosphere at Rikkai University is great, you'll adapt." The teacher smiled and handed her her student ID. "Second year, Group A, number 21."

Risa took the student ID and breathed a sigh of relief.

As they walked out of the registrar's office, Liu Sheng suddenly spoke up: "Your handwriting is a little different from the one on your application form."

Risa felt a chill run down her back.

He even noticed that?!

She feigned composure: "I've been practicing calligraphy lately."

Yagyu hummed in response and didn't press further. But Risa felt that his gaze towards her was meaningful.

-

After leaving the registrar's office, Risa looked at the academic year and number on the nameplate, then looked around, her face blank.

This school is so big, I have no idea where the teaching buildings are.

She turned to the gentleman walking beside her, "Second year, Group A, you know where it is, right?"

Yagyu: "Hmm."

Risa: "Could you please take me to the classroom?"

Yagyu: "Okay."

Oh~ I didn't expect this person to be so easy to get along with.

The two remained mostly silent throughout the journey. Occasionally, Liu Sheng would speak, briefly introducing some campus buildings, such as the gymnasium, cafeteria, and music room.

As I passed the fountain square, there was a couple in front of the fountain who looked like they were confessing their love.

Another confession, huh? It really is a restless age.

Risa smiled as if she had discovered a new continent.

Despite being a sports anime about defying Newton's laws, in the hidden corners where it's not publicly broadcast, the boys and girls here are just like ordinary people, full of passion for love.

"Speaking of which, Yagyu-kun, are you really not going to consider it?"

What are you considering?

"That girl who confessed her feelings, she seems to really like you."

Yagyu tilted his head, thought for a moment, and then realized that Risa was referring to the incident in front of the flower bed.

"So, according to you, you would agree to date anyone who seems to really like you?"

Upon hearing this, Risa frowned slightly: "Of course not."

"That settles it."

"But you don't have to refuse so decisively. What if you regret it later? Wouldn't that be like going through a wife-chasing hell?"

Risa recalled Yagyu's reply to the girl; the wording was precise, devoid of any emotion, as if he were reading it aloud with great care.

Perhaps it's because these things happen so frequently that we've become numb to them.

"I never make decisions that I'll regret," Liu Sheng said.

"Before saying certain things, you should be prepared to be rejected. Rejecting someone without leaving any room for negotiation is certainly cruel, but if you know you don't like them, yet you don't give them the right to continue liking others, isn't that even more despicable?"

Risa was somewhat surprised by the gentleman's serious answer.

I never imagined that people in this world...were so precocious.

"Group A of the second year is on the second floor of this building." Yagyu led her through the atrium. "The student cafeteria is over there."

A commotion arose not far away.

Several girls huddled together, excitedly whispering among themselves:

"Look! It's Minister Yukimura!"

"He looks so handsome today..."

Risa followed their gaze—

Under the cherry blossom tree, a boy with dark blue, slightly curly hair was talking to Genichiro Sanada. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled patterns of light on him.

Yukimura Seiichi.

Risa's heart skipped a beat.

The "Child of God" of Rikkai University, and my younger brother's favorite character.

Seemingly noticing her gaze, Yukimura suddenly turned his head and looked directly at her.

Risa subconsciously held her breath.

Yukimura narrowed his eyes slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips.

That smile, though breathtakingly beautiful, inexplicably made Risa's heart tighten, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end.

"arrive."

Yagyu's voice pulled Risa back to reality, and she realized that she was already standing at the door of the classroom for Class 2-A.

“Okay, thank you very much.” Risa took the textbook from Yagyu. “Thank you so much for bringing me here, Yagyu-kun.”

"You're welcome."

After Liu Sheng finished speaking, he pushed open the door and walked straight into the classroom.

Risa stood there, stunned, her lips twitching.

The classroom fell silent for a second as everyone's eyes turned to look.

Ignoring the curious glances directed at her, Risa found her seat according to the seating chart and eventually saw number 21.

"Hello, new student."

"Hmm?" Risa thought the voice sounded familiar and looked in the direction of the sound.

Yagyu Hiroshi.

Yagyu calmly pushed up his glasses: "Nice to meet you from now on, my seatmate... Matsuno Risa."

Risa: "..."

What a tragic fate!

Risa raised an eyebrow. Risa remained silent. Risa smiled.

She had just sat down when she heard the girls behind her whispering:

"That transfer student...is so pretty."

"But why did you come with Yagyu-kun?"

"Could it be..."

Risa pretended not to hear and took out her notebook from her bag.

Ruan Lisha is 25 years old. She entered the entertainment industry at the age of 17 for a prize of 5,000 yuan and debuted as the center of attention at the age of 18.

Seven years of ups and downs, she endured hardship and tasted the bitterness of life. She was blacklisted for half a year for refusing to accept unspoken rules, and was temporarily replaced in a role because the investor's daughter took her place. At her lowest point, she couldn't even afford to pay her rent.

But she fought her way through with her talent, from Best Newcomer to Best Supporting Actress, and then to Best Actress. Half a year ago, she finally swept the three major film festivals with "Distant Mountains" and became the youngest triple crown actress.

Just six months after reaching the top, fate played an absurd joke on her. In the blink of an eye, she became a 17-year-old high school girl in a sports anime.

Ironically, just minutes before, this top actress, who had just won the Best Actress award, was fooled by a high school student.

Is she some kind of despicable person?

Seven years of fierce battles to reach the peak, and now we have to start all over again?
