The attendant curled his lips and said, "Master Yingyi, this man hasn't eaten for three days. He ate the amount for two people by himself."
"Isn't the Beirong Army starving us? They're starving like this."
Yaleha ate six buckets of instant noodles. After finishing the last bucket and drinking the soup, he burped loudly.
He touched his stomach and said, "Great! This noodle is so delicious."
I couldn't help but wonder what on earth I had eaten before.
"General, don't worry. As long as I'm fed and well-fed, I, Yeluha, will be loyal to you!"
"Don't worry, I dare say our food is of the best standard among all the military camps currently." Ying said.
"Remove his fetters, give him a thick coat, and a pitcher of water."
The person next to him removed the shackles from Yaleha's hands, threw him a long black cotton coat, and handed him a can of Red Bull.
"Put this in your pocket and drink it tomorrow morning. You'll feel better after drinking it," the attendant instructed.
"What is this? How do you open it?" Yaleha shook the can in his hand curiously.
"Someone will teach you tomorrow. Put on your clothes first." The servant said again.
Yaleha put on a big black cotton coat, and felt that the coat was a little strange, so he tried to put his hands into the sleeves.
His eyes lit up in surprise. "This clothing is really convenient, quite warm, and not drafty. It's much better than my Beirong's thick, heavy, and airtight mink fur."
"This dress is light, soft, and comfortable!"
"No wonder Beirong wanted to occupy Gan Kingdom so much. It turns out that Gan Kingdom is such a precious place."
Yaleha is a man with a loose mouth, and he says whatever he thinks.
"Don't call me Beirong anymore. You are a soldier of my Gan country." Ying Yi's expression changed and he corrected.
"Yes, I understand, General!"
Yeluha immediately became serious and nodded.
The Northern Rong captives squatting on the ground poked their heads out to look over.
Someone couldn't hold back any longer and said, "General, I... I am also willing to submit to the Gan Kingdom!"
"I...can we eat that noodles?" The thin man, with several wounds on his body, couldn't help but ask.
Yingyi asked someone to pull him up and gave him a bucket of noodles. The man drank a mouthful of the soup and burst into tears.
With tears on his face, he couldn't help but take a sip of hot soup and then a mouthful of noodles.
"This is so delicious!" he choked.
"If this is my last meal, I'd be happy with it..."
When I think about the life of the soldiers, and the dry bread they eat every day, and how they have to endure hunger and cold, my heart sank.
"The rest of our Beirong Army ran away, leaving us behind. They definitely don't want to take care of us anymore, so I'll just join the Gan Army."
"I'm going to die anyway, so I might as well die a full-fledged ghost!"
"That's right, everyone else has run away, and we're the only ones left. Why the hell are we still going hungry?"
The people on the ground couldn't bear it anymore, and were eager to try, so they stood up and spoke.
Yingyi had people hand out instant noodles to those who voluntarily surrendered.
Watching them devouring instant noodles, the attendant beside them said, "Sir, each of our people has one bucket, and they each have five. They are eating too much. Do we really have enough food?"
Ying glanced at those people and said, "The prince is here, so you don't have to worry. Keep a close eye on them. If anyone shows any signs of disloyalty, don't let them go!"
Before he left, he called Nayeluha away.
——
The next morning, Ruan Jingye was still lying in bed when he was awakened by a dazzling light.
He frowned, raised his hand to block the sun, and squinted his eyes.
"Uncle, uncle, get up quickly!"
"The sun is shining on my butt."
Ruanruan was wearing a little bunny pajamas, opened the curtains completely, and yelled with her little mouth.
"Oh!"
Ruan Jingye turned over, buried his face in the pillow in worry, and made a bored groaning sound.
"Uncle, you and Ruanruan should go to the mall together. Ruanruan also wants to buy some boots!"
Seeing that her uncle didn't move, Ruanruan ran to the bed and pulled Ruan Jingye's hair.
"Uncle is getting up soon!"
Ruan Jingye turned over and rolled on the bed before sitting up and pulling Ruanruan out from under the bed.
Ruanruan was wearing a bunny fur coat and kneeling on the bed sheets, with Ruan Jingye pinching her cheeks with both hands.
She stared at Ruan Jingye in confusion and pointed at the bottom of his eyes. "Huh? Why are there so many dark spots under your eyes, uncle?"
"Did someone punch you? Or did you get into trouble again and get beaten by grandpa?"
Ruan Jingye rubbed his eyes in a daze, "Don't talk nonsense."
He stood up, put on his slippers and walked towards the bathroom, with Ruanruan following behind him.
"Uncle, you look like a panda's eyes. Are you really okay?"
"It's okay, go back to your room and change your clothes first, your uncle will be here soon." Ruan Jingye went into the bathroom and closed the door.
He washed his face and glanced at himself in the mirror.
"Oh shit!"
"Why are there such big dark circles under your eyes?"
Just as Ruanruan said, there was a bruise under his eyes.
There’s nothing I can do!
What happened in the past two days completely overturned his worldview. He didn't sleep well for two consecutive days because he heard the voice of Emperor Taizong last night.
He excitedly searched for a lot of information about the country and didn't fall asleep until five in the morning.
After washing up, changing clothes, and having breakfast, Ruan Jingyeqi put on sunglasses and went out.
Ruanruan took Ruan Jingye's hand and went straight to the mall, where she bought a pair of girls' boots and two pairs of boys' boots.
She also dragged Ruan Jingye to buy a black backpack for Zhao Chengqian.
