Zhao Chengqian fell on the edge of the bed and got up from the ground while enduring the pain.
"Ah! God's son, are you okay?" Princess Jin's face turned even paler with fright, and she wanted to pull Zhao Chengqian up in panic.
Zhao Chengqian took a step back and picked up the candlestick.
The man saw Ying Qi coming over and quickly stepped forward. Zhao Chengqian grabbed the candlestick and smashed it at him, but the man dodged it and grabbed Zhao Chengqian roughly, holding the knife to his neck. "Don't come over here, or I'll kill this kid right now."
Zhao Chengqian lowered his head and hugged the vase wrapped in cloth on the ground.
"Let him go!" Ying Qi's expression became serious.
"Let me out." The man put the knife to Zhao Chengqian's neck, cutting a hole in his fair skin and bleeding profusely.
Ying Qi took a deep breath and moved around the door.
The man carried Zhao Chengqian onto the carriage, and the carriage quickly disappeared into the snowy night.
"Godson!" Princess Jin stumbled out and fell on the snow.
"Princess, they haven't got the thing yet, so they won't attack the prince for now. The letter we sent to Qingzhou should have reached His Highness. Let's wait for His Highness to come and rescue the prince."
"I will go and bring His Highness back now."
The carriage was running fast. The man held a knife against Zhao Chengqian's neck with one hand and swung a whip with the other. As he moved, blood dripped onto the vase. No one noticed, and the drop of blood disappeared as it fell.
"You'd better behave yourself, or I'll throw you out in the snow and let you freeze to death."
The man tied Zhao Chengqian's hands and feet with ropes, and then he discovered that what he was holding in his hands was a vase.
"I thought it was a treasure, but it turned out to be just a broken bottle."
Just as he was about to throw it away, Zhao Chengqian said, "This is a family heirloom. It's very valuable. If you want to throw it away, go ahead."
The man thought that the child would not die holding a useless vase.
He threw the child and the vase into the carriage and continued on his journey outside.
Zhao Chengqian lay on the ground, covering his aching neck. Blood dripped onto his hands, and the pain made him almost faint. At the moment he fainted, he thought of Ruanruan. He looked at the vase in front of him and reached out his hand. The moment he touched the vase, his eyes went black and he fainted.
When the vase touched the bloody hand, it emitted a golden light, and Zhao Chengqian disappeared into the carriage with golden light all over his body.
