Chapter 20 The Princess is Seriously Ill

The prefect's villa on the other side.

"Princess, the prince is back!" The maid hurried into the room to report.

Princess Jin seemed to have been waiting for a long time. She was trying to get up in a hurry, but she started coughing violently as soon as she moved.

"Don't worry, the prince will be here soon." The maid stepped forward to help her up and stuffed a soft pillow around her waist.

Princess Jin kept her eyes fixed on the door. The wind outside was biting cold. The maid wanted to close the door, but she saw several figures walking down the corridor and immediately stopped what she was doing.

"Cough, cough, cough!" The princess covered her mouth and coughed a few times. When she looked up, she saw a familiar face walking in.

She excitedly wanted to get down from the couch, "Prince!"

Prince Jin took off his cool silver fox fur cape and threw it to the maid. He quickly walked to the soft couch and hugged Princess Jin, "Yue Niang."

"Your Highness, where is my godson?" Princess Jin looked up at Prince Jin nervously. Her face was pale, without a trace of blood, and she looked haggard as if she was about to leave.

"Listen to me first." Prince Jin grabbed her hands and found that they were ice-cold without any warmth. He took the quilt and wrapped Princess Jin tightly.

"Gan'er is not in the village."

Princess Jin stared at Prince Jin, her eyes filled with worry. "Why is he not here? Did something happen to my son?"

"Prince, please tell me quickly..." As she spoke, tears fell from her red eyes.

"The people who captured Gan'er said that Gan'er disappeared on the mountain. There was only a vase left in the carriage. I have sent people to search the mountain. Don't worry." King Jin held her in his arms to comfort her and said gently.

He looked calm, but in his heart he was no more concerned about his eldest son than Princess Jin was.

Princess Jin began to sob and cry. It was so cold, and her son had been alone on the mountain for a whole night. Was he really okay?

The more I think about it, the more worried I become, and the feeling of fear envelops me.

"Liulang, my godson will be fine, right?" She looked up at Prince Jin and said uncertainly with tears in her eyes.

She herself was unsure when she asked this question.

Prince Jin didn't dare look at her. He held her in his arms without saying a word, his heart broken.

It was icy and snowy outside, and it was unlikely for an adult to stay in the mountains for a day and a night, let alone a ten-year-old child.

"It'll be alright, Gan'er will be alright."

Princess Jin's heart felt like it was being torn apart, and her emotions were on the verge of collapse.

She suddenly thought of something and grabbed King Jin's arm, "Where's the vase, Liu Lang's vase?"

"Bring the vase here quickly."

Seeing that Princess Jin was so persistent, Prince Jin immediately asked someone to bring the vase over.

Princess Jin knelt on the bed, holding onto the edge of the bed, and said devoutly to the vase, "Little fairy, are you there? Please, please save my son."

"Please save my son!"

"Cough cough cough!" Princess Jin covered her mouth and coughed even more violently.

"Yue Niang!"

Princess Jin coughed rapidly, and her chest rose and fell more and more violently.

Prince Jin sensed something was wrong and stepped forward to support her, his brow furrowed and the muscles on his face tense.

"Go call the doctor!"

Princess Jin was breathing rapidly, her face was turning purple, and she suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood. The bright red blood dyed the light purple quilt red.

"Vase, Gan'er..."

She muttered these words, her eyes went dark and she fainted.

Prince Jin hugged her tightly, "Yue Niang!"

Doctor Song was almost carried over by Ying Qi, and before he could even stand firmly, he was dragged to the side of the princess' bed.

Under the sharp gaze of Prince Jin, he reached out and pressed on the pulse of Princess Jin.

He looked up at the bloodstains on Princess Jin's quilt, and his frown relaxed and then tightened again.

"Your Majesty, the princess should still have some medicine on her. Just continue taking it."

"The princess's illness had already taken hold, but thanks to this medicine, it wasn't getting any worse, and she was even slowly getting better. But she caught a cold yesterday, and her condition is showing some signs of relapse. Furthermore, the princess was emotionally agitated, and her qi and blood were attacking her heart, causing her to vomit blood."

The Prince of Jin found a brocade pouch from the Princess's waist. Inside the pouch was a medicine bottle. "How do I take this medicine?"

Doctor Song said, "Three pills will be enough."

Prince Jin poured out three pills from it. He had never seen this kind of medicine before, but in order to cure the princess, he fed it to her without thinking.

In the evening, Princess Jin developed a fever, and the entire villa became tense.

Prince Jin took the wet towel handed to him by the maid and put it on Princess Jin's forehead. "What's going on?"

Princess Jin's face flushed red, and she was still muttering her son's name.

Doctor Song took the pulse and said tremblingly, "Your Highness, I'm sorry, I'm useless. I can't treat the princess's illness. The cold has caused a high fever, which has aggravated the princess's original condition. I'm afraid the medicine the princess has is of little use."

He suddenly knelt on the ground, not daring to hide it anymore.

"Ying Qi, go and bring Dr. Luo Shen over."

"Yes, Your Highness." Ying Qi received the order, turned around and went out.

Doctor Song knelt on the ground and glanced at Prince Jin. It would take two or three days to travel from Qingzhou to Youzhou and back. The princess...

I don’t know if I can wait until that time. Even if I can wait until the disease has entered the lungs, not to mention Doctor Luo, even the Great Luo Immortal will find it difficult to save him!

Yes, gods, there are gods!

He glanced around and his eyes fell on the vase beside the princess's bed.

"Your Highness, Yingyi requests to see you." A voice came from outside.

Prince Jin said coldly, "Let him in."

Ying half knelt down and said, "Your Highness, our people have swept the entire mountain but have not found any trace of the Crown Prince."

The hand holding the handkerchief paused, and he clenched his teeth. The aura around him suddenly dropped. "Keep searching. I want to find the person alive or the body dead."
