When Xiao Shunan heard the cold voice of King Jin ringing in his ears, he immediately lowered his head and felt the temperature around him drop instantly.
He could feel the Prince of Jin sizing him up, and he didn't dare raise his head. Knowing he had gone too far, he quickly knelt on one knee and said, "Your Highness, please calm down. I spoke too much and shouldn't have been so rude!"
No matter how bad the Prince of Jin is, he is still the emperor's son, and he and his father have to pay their respects when they see the Prince of Jin.
Xiao Qinbei glared at his son, then quickly bowed and said, "Your Highness, my son is still young. I hope Your Highness will forgive him this time. I will discipline him strictly in the future."
"He's already grown up, but he still can't speak. How shameful!" Ruanruan took out a purse from her waist, held the purse in one hand, and cracked melon seeds with the other.
As she spoke, she stuck out her tongue at Xiao Shunan and made a face.
Xiao Shunan knelt on the ground, not daring to move. He could only look at her out of the corner of his eyes. His chest was heaving with anger. He immediately stood up and grabbed the little girl to beat her up.
His ears turned red, and he had to swallow his anger.
"Father, since Prince Xiao wants me to take him around Qingzhou, then let me take him there." Zhao Chengqian bowed to Prince Jin obediently and sensibly, then stood up and said.
King Jin glanced at him and waved his hand, "It's not a big deal. Since my son is willing, then go ahead."
"Then I want to go with my little brother too!" said Ruanruan next to him.
"Let's go, little brother." Ruanruan skipped to Zhao Chengqian's side, put her arm around Zhao Chengqian, and pulled him out of the tent.
"Uncle Prince Jin, let's go." She turned around and looked at Prince Jin with a smile.
Prince Jin nodded.
Xiao Qinbei walked out with his son, glanced at Ruanruan and Zhao Chengqian, and a faint smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.
His guess turned out to be correct. Ruanruan really liked playing with the child born to Zhao Qian. If Zhao Chengqian wanted to leave, Ruanruan would follow him.
"Dad, why do you insist on letting these two children follow us?" Xiao Shunan was a little confused.
Xiao Qinbei didn't explain and walked to the side of Ruanruan and Zhao Chengqian.
Ruanruan glanced at him warily. She always remembered what her grandfather and uncle had said.
Xiao Qinbei knew that the child was somewhat repulsed by him, so he spoke softly, "Ruanruan, don't be restrained. We won't hurt you. Look, these are all the people of the King of Jin."
He remembered that Ruanruan was not so afraid of him yesterday, and even took him to Prince Jin's Mansion.
How come the attitude has changed so much today?
Could it be that Prince Jin said something in the child's ear that made Ruanruan hate his words?
"Yeah, I know."
Ruanruan nodded.
"Where do you want to go first?" Ruanruan asked.
Xiao Shunan rushed over and said, "Let's go to the greenhouse. I heard that you can grow vegetables in the greenhouse here. I want to see if it's really as everyone says."
Ruanruan: “Yeah.”
Xiao Shunan glanced at Ruanruan and said, "Kid, are you really as good as they say?"
Although this kid is a bit annoying, he is really cute.
Ruanruan kept a straight face and continued walking forward: "Yeah."
"Can you help me take my father's pulse?" Xiao Shunan stared at his stiff and stinky face, feeling that he looked familiar. He became interested and asked Ruanruan.
"No help." Ruanruan still said indifferently.
This person is really annoying...
He quacked in Ruanruan's ear like a duck, but Ruanruan didn't want to pay any attention to him.
"Don't be so aloof. Last time at the city gate... we knew each other. How about doing me a favor?" Xiao Shunan pursued relentlessly.
"Okay." Ruanruan scratched his ear and stopped.
"Really, that's great. When are you free..." Xiao Shunan thought the kid was quite interesting and continued.
Before he could finish his words, Ruan Ruan folded her hands and motioned him to shut up. "I can treat you, but you have to pay. If you can pay, I will treat you."
Ruanruan felt that if she didn't agree to this person, he would keep talking.
My grandfather once said that if you encounter someone who is seeking medical treatment even though he or she has no real illness, it is either because they have a psychological problem, a mental problem, or they have too much money.
This money must be earned!
Xiao Qinbei was worried about not having the chance to meet his niece alone, so he said, "Okay, whatever you want."
"Hey, this is enough, right?" Xiao Shunan took off the purse from his waist and handed the full bag of money to Ruanruan.
Ruanruan took it, opened it, took a look, and shook her head, "No, it's too little."
Xiao Shunan stared at her, frowned, and took out two jade pendants from his body and gave them to Ruanruan.
Ruanruan shook her head again, and Xiao Shunan took out a dagger inlaid with gems from his waist.
"This dagger was given to me by my grandfather at my tenth birthday party. It is very precious." He was very reluctant to part with it. He touched the small dagger in his hand and looked up at Ruanruan again.
Ruanruan stared at the large green gem inlaid on the dagger and the small red and green gems inlaid on the hilt. Her eyes flashed and she stretched out her little hand.
"Not bad, Ruanruan likes it."
"Just give me this, give it to Ruanruan quickly." She spoke again.
When Xiao Qinbei heard that she liked this thing, he quickly gestured to his son, but saw that his son was reluctant to take it out.
"Give it to her." Xiao Qinbei said loudly.
Xiao Shunan: "Dad... I only have this one... My grandfather specially asked a master to make it for me."
"Isn't the thing your grandfather gave you enough? Just give her one thing." Xiao Qinbei said unhappily.
