Chapter 25 Acupuncture

"Our Ruanruan is still the best! Our Ruan family finally has a legacy!"

"Grandpa wants to pass on all of our Ruan family's unique skills to Ruanruan."

Before Ruanruan learned to crawl, he followed the old man to identify herbs. Before he learned to eat, he had already learned to pick medicine and took it. He learned some medicine by observing and listening.

Mr. Ruan also wanted Ruanruan to inherit his mantle, but Mr. Ruan said that it depends on the child's own wishes and he would not force the child.

Mr. Ruan couldn't argue with him, and thinking that the child was still young, he didn't ask him to learn.

Now the child is willing, which is exactly what he wants.

"Ruanruan, do you really want to learn? Learning Chinese medicine is very tiring, and you have to remember a lot of things." Uncle Ruan pursed his lips, unable to bear to see his little niece being forced to study so early.

"Yeah, learning Chinese medicine can save lives!"

Ruanruan stared ahead with a pair of bright eyes and clenched her little hands into fists.

"Ruanruan wants to save more people and protect her family and friends."

"Yes, yes, that's the original intention of us studying medicine." Grandpa Ruan's face turned red with excitement and his breathing became heavy.

"You need to go to work, go to work, don't incite people here!"

Grandpa Ruan pushed Uncle Ruan out and said, "Go, go, go."

"We, Ruanruan, have been smart since we were young. We are extremely talented in studying medicine, much better than you. You think it's difficult, but we, Ruanruan, don't think so."

"Come on, come on, grandpa will teach you how to recognize needles today." Grandpa Ruan took action immediately after saying this, picked up Ruan Ruan and drove to the medicine store.

She lay softly in her grandfather's arms, bit her lips and said, "Little brother, wait for me!"

Ruanruan will come to play with you soon!

——

The gate of a farm on the outskirts of Youzhou was kicked open by the personal guards of Prince Jin's Mansion.

The people who were busy inside were shocked. When they saw the soldiers coming in, they dropped what they were holding and ran away.

"Stop!" Ying Yi drew the sword from his waist and shouted loudly.

Everyone stopped, and Ying Yi waved his hand, signaling the people behind him, "Go, bring everyone in the manor up here."

He turned and saluted the incoming Prince Jin, "Your Highness, according to what Ying Qi said in the letter, this farm should be where that dog official hid the grain."

I don’t know what kind of luck this kid Yingqi has!

Like a blind cat catching a dead mouse, in order to find the prince, he searched all the manors and villas in Youzhou for the whole night, and by chance he found the granary that the prefect had secretly hidden in a villa in the suburbs.

"Don't move! Be quiet." The guards came over with a group of servants. There was a man wearing a butler's clothes who wanted to run around when he was in front of King Jin. He was grabbed by the collar and thrown over. When he saw King Jin, he immediately knelt down.

"Your Majesty, all of Zhuangzi's men are here."

King Jin lowered his eyes slightly and glanced at the several pale and plump servants in the manor, as well as the cakes that fell to the ground because of the servants' panic.

"Yingyi, leave a few people here to watch, and the rest of you go search. Search this place thoroughly inside and out for me."

"Bring the steward of the other village here to me."

The personal guard grabbed the steward's collar, dragged him to the front of King Jin, drew his sword and put it on the steward's neck.

"Your Majesty, spare my life!"

The manager was so frightened that he trembled and begged for mercy.

"Where did the governor hide the grain?" King Jin lowered his eyes and asked in a cold voice.

The steward glanced at the sword around his neck and said, "Your Highness, I don't know. I'm just a steward. I've never heard of what you're talking about. I'm just someone sent by the governor to clean the yard and look after the house."

After all, he is the prince. He can't just kill people in the prefect's yard without confirming the situation.

Youzhou is extremely far away from Bianjing. The people here have never seen a prince or grandson of the emperor in their lives. They have no idea about the supremacy of imperial power and even believe deep down that the prefect is the highest official.

They simply didn't understand that even if the Prince of Jin was only the emperor's son, even if he had killed several local officials.

Officials had no way to deal with him. When they saw him, they could only respect him and not cross his path.

The King of Jin on the other side waved his hand impatiently, "Since you know nothing, then drag him away and chop him off. I won't keep useless people!"

The guard raised his hand and was about to strike with his knife.

"Wait! Your Majesty, please don't kill me."

The manager was so frightened that he collapsed on the ground, and the snow-white ground was dyed orange and even emitted a foul smell.

"I know where it is!"

"How dare you do such a thing in front of the prince." The guard said with disgust.

The King of Jin took out a handkerchief embroidered with lotus flowers from his sleeve, covered his nose with it, waved his hand, and asked his guards to put down their swords.

"Take this king there."

The steward was lifted up from the ground by the guards and pushed forward.

They walked through the courtyard of the villa and came to the backyard.

I saw more than twenty horses eating grass in the stable not far away. Opposite was the cowshed where more than a dozen cows were raised. There were some corn hay and some corn kernels in the feed trough.

King Jin stepped forward and took a look, then his gaze shifted to the inside of the cowshed. The ground was covered with grass, which was obviously laid there for fear that the cattle and horses would freeze to death.

"Go, check out the stables."

Ying turned around and opened the stable. Seeing the situation inside, he couldn't help but take a deep breath. The prefect was really extravagant. Even the floor of the stable was covered with straw.

"Going back to your highness is just like being inside this cowshed."

Going further, there are chickens, ducks and geese, all raised together. The place is very spacious and there are even several wooden huts built. There is a feeding trough outside, and the trough is filled with rice grains and crushed corn kernels.

Prince Jin looked at the trough and smiled, his fake smile was particularly scary.

"The governor is tired of the grain and is using it to feed the animals."
