Chapter 32 Rice

After returning to the villa, Ruanruan waited for half an hour before the doorbell rang.

She went out to open the door happily and found that it was a staff member of the restaurant where her uncle had ordered the meal. She took the lunch box and finished her meal.

Little Dumpling took a nap before the supermarket delivery truck arrived.

The driver saw that it was a child who opened the door and asked, "Little boy, where are your parents?"

"Uncle, this is the hose's house now, please put the rice in the yard."

Ruanruan patted her little chest, like a little adult.

The driver was worried, so he called the emergency contact number reserved by the uncle, and only asked someone to unload the goods after confirming it.

Ruanruan sat on the steps, her hands supporting her cheeks, and like a supervisor, she watched them put bags of rice in her yard.

"Little friend, there are two thousand bags of rice and one thousand bags of flour. Please sign for your parents."

The driver took out the bill and took a look at the soft and cherubic little face.

The adults in this family are really scared, leaving such a young child to look after the house.

I'm not really afraid of being kidnapped.

Ruanruan took a pen, wrote her crooked name on it, and then returned the bill to the driver.

"Okay, thank you, uncle, for your hard work!"

Wait until the driver leaves.

Ruanruan trotted into the living room and said to the vase, "Brother Xiaogan, come out quickly, the things Ruanruan bought are here!"

Zhao Chengqian thought that Ruanruan had gone out for something and would not come to see him for a while. Just as he was about to get up and go see Princess Jin, he heard Ruanruan's anxious voice ringing in his ears.

"What happened to Ruanruan?"

"Brother Xiaogan, Ruanruan is telling you that the rice that Ruanruan and my uncle bought has arrived. Please find an empty space and have Pingping deliver the rice."

Ruanruan sat up from the sofa, moved closer to the vase and spoke loudly.

After Zhao Chengqian heard Ruanruan's words clearly, he became excited. "Ruanruan, wait a minute."

He quickly stood up, picked up the cloak from the shelf, and hurried out of the study.

"Where is my father?" Zhao Chengqian grabbed a personal guard and asked.

"Your Highness, it seems he's heading...towards the prison cell."

Why did my father go to the prison?

Zhao Chengqian frowned, fastened his moon-white fox fur cloak, and walked towards the cell.

Four personal guards from the Prince of Jin's mansion were guarding the cell door. When they saw Zhao Chengqian bowing and saluting, the leader led him in.

The room was dark and enclosed, and the guards were lighting it with torches. As they walked in, they heard intermittent screams.

In the innermost cell, a man was tied to the wall with his limbs tied to the wall. His body was covered with whip marks and blood was gushing from the wounds.

This person was none other than the governor of Youzhou who was captured by the King of Jin.

"Your Majesty, I really don't know! Please forgive me."

The prefect's face was grimacing with pain, and he spoke through gritted teeth.

"The handwritten letter from the legitimate son of the Duke of Zhenguo is in your study? You told me you didn't know?"

Prince Jin threw the whip to Yingyi and strangled the prefect's neck.

"I... I really don't know! Back then, the Duke of Zhenguo was held back by the Northern Rong army and couldn't support Guanzhou, which was under siege by the Western Xia. Guanzhou City was starving and had to seek help from neighboring cities. This letter was delivered at that time."

The prefect's face turned purple from being pinched, and his limbs kept struggling, trying to break free from the restraints.

"Why don't you report it?" King Jin's eyes were filled with murderous intent.

In that battle, the Duke of Zhenguo's legitimate son, second son, and legitimate grandson all died in Guanzhou.

The Western Xia and the Northern Rong colluded to invade Dagan. The Duke of Zhenguo led his troops to force the two countries to retreat. He was awarded the title of General Zhenguo, but he lost his two legitimate sons in that war.

The Duke of Zhenguo's family had few descendants to begin with, and they were almost wiped out due to the war.

The governor said: "I reported it, but they said to ignore it."

"Who is it? Speak!" King Jin's face darkened.

"Yes... Prime Minister Su."

When King Jin learned about this person, he was not at all surprised.

Prime Minister Su, the father of Concubine Su, was also demoted to Qingzhou by them.

"Father!" Zhao Chengqian walked in.

"My son has something important to discuss."

He raised his eyes and glanced at the bloody prefect with a surly look on his face.

Prince Jin suppressed his anger, released the prefect's neck, took the handkerchief handed to him by Ying Yi, wiped his hands, threw them into the basin, and walked out of the cell.

"Ask Doctor Song to check on him, don't kill him."

Ying Yi bowed and responded, "I understand."

"What's the matter?" King Jin walked through the prison and walked forward with sluggish steps.

"Father, it's related to Ruanruan." Zhao Chengqian glanced at the surrounding environment and said in a low voice.

Prince Jin did not ask him any more questions until the two of them walked around the backyard and entered the study.

Zhao Chengqian walked straight to the vase and asked, "Ruanruan?"

Ruanruan waited for a long time, and finally heard Zhao Chengqian's voice, and immediately said, "I'm here!"

"Xiaogan brother, are you ready? There are a lot of things."

"Father, Ruanruan said she would send us some food and asked us to find a larger open space." Zhao Chengqian looked at King Jin.

"Come here with the vase."

Prince Jin's eyes lit up and he strode out.

He had made preparations long ago and had dismissed all the people in the backyard.

Zhao Chengqian held the vase and followed Prince Jin into an empty room.

"Little brother, it's alright."

"Ruanruan, it's done." Zhao Chengqian placed the vase in the middle of the room and took a few steps back.

Just as he finished speaking.

"Bang!"

The vase shook and a golden light emanated from it.

In the blink of an eye.

There were piles of rice bags and flour in the room, and a little kid standing in the middle, feeling lost.

Ruanruan scratched her head as she looked at the people in front of her.
