Is Chapter 67 valuable?

"Click!" The door opened from the outside.

"Professor Lu, my student is here too. Let me introduce him to you." A middle-aged man walked in, followed by another middle-aged man.

"Jing Ye, you kid didn't even answer the message I sent you. Come over here and let me introduce myself to you."

"I'm going to make a documentary about cultural relics, and this is an expert sent by our city's Cultural Relics Bureau to provide guidance."

Zheng Xian waved to Ruan Jingye who was standing opposite him and introduced him.

"Just call me Professor Lu."

Ruan Jingye walked over with Ruan Ruan, smiling and extending his hand, "Professor Lu, my name is Ruan Jingye, and I'm Director Zheng's student."

Professor Lu shook hands with Ruan Jingye and exchanged a few polite words.

Director Zheng was attracted by Ruan Ruan who was still crying next to Ruan Jingye, and frowned slightly and said:

"What happened? You're trying to attract investment, but you made the kid cry?"

"Uncle Zheng, wuwuwu... They bullied Ruanruan." Ruanruan said with a sob.

Director Zheng touched Ruanruan's little face and asked, "What happened? Who knocked out Ruanruan's teeth?"

When she thought of the tooth she had lost, Ruanruan cried even louder.

"Whoever bullies Ruanruan, Uncle Zheng will help you to be fair and square."

President Xin came over and said, "Director Zheng, this is your good student. He challenged the investor just because of a worthless jade ring."

"This young man is so reckless and still wants to attract investment. Who will be willing to fund his drama in the future?"

Ruan Ruan huffed, "This isn't something worthless!"

"In Ruanruan's eyes, this is very precious."

The ring in her hand caught the attention of Professor Lu.

Professor Lu stared at the smooth fingerboard, frowning slightly. "Little boy, can you let me see this fingerboard?"

"Hmm? Uncle won't grab the soft ring?"

Ruanruan looked up at the kind-looking old man, stopped crying, and asked with tears in her eyes.

"Don't grab it, I'll just take a look and return it to you later." Professor Lu said with a smile.

Ruanruan took off the ring and handed it to Professor Lu.

Mr. Xin, who was standing by, smiled when he heard this.

If this is really a valuable antique treasure, who would hang it around their neck?

At most, it is just an ordinary piece of jade of medium quality.

Professor Lu took out a magnifying glass from his breast pocket and carefully examined the jade ring in his hand.

"This jade has a fine texture, excellent color, and a very smooth surface. It must have been rubbed frequently by someone."

"This is Hetian mutton-fat jade. The surface is delicate, the lines are small and even, and the color is white and soft. It is obviously top-grade."

"If this were put on the market, it would cost at least 500,000..."

President Xin chuckled, "Is this the jade Director Ruan treasures? It doesn't seem to be worth that much."

"etc!"

“This is truly a treasure!”

Professor Lu was attracted by a special string of small characters on the inside of the ring. There were also some tiny patterns engraved on the inside, which was very exquisite.

His eyes gradually brightened, and he took out a flashlight from his pocket, shining it on the inner wall of the thumbnail to make out the words on it. His hands were trembling.

"This... this is writing left behind by the Gan Kingdom. Looking at the four-clawed dragon pattern on the inner wall, this should have been left behind by the Gan Kingdom royal family over two thousand years ago."

"When the archaeological team excavated the imperial tomb of the Gan Kingdom, they found a jade slip about the Gan Kingdom's royal family. It said that during the reign of Emperor Taizong of Gan, he was very fond of jade rings. The jade ring on his hand has a dragon pattern engraved on the inner wall. It was given to him by Emperor Renzong of Gan when he was the crown prince."

Professor Lu rubbed his eyes and was eager to take a closer look at the jade ring.

He said excitedly, "This should be the jade ring on Emperor Taizong's hand!"

"That's impossible! How could a jade ring worn by a child be an antique?"

Mr. Xin questioned with his eyes wide open, his face full of disbelief.

Professor Lu caressed the jade ring with caress, feeling incredibly excited. "You don't understand. Ancient jade is different from new jade. Although it's difficult to tell, someone knowledgeable can spot the difference at a glance."

"This jade ring is unique in the world and can be called a priceless treasure!"

"After the fall of the Gan Kingdom, many things were lost long ago. We don't even have many of them in our national museum, let alone the private property of Emperor Taizong."

"It is also an important historical reference artifact. The historical value of the jade ring is more precious than the original value of the jade itself."

Professor Lu held the jade ring in his hand and looked down at Ruanruan. "Little friend, can I let my student see it too?"

"They came here with me. They're next door now. It won't take long."

"OK."

Ruanruan didn't understand what he was so excited about and scratched his head.

Professor Lu made a phone call and called all the students next to him over.

Two young men and a young woman came in from the doorway and called Professor Liu in unison, "Teacher."

"Come and see! This is the jade ring of Emperor Taizong of Gan. This is the emperor who once stirred up the turmoil of Gan, commanded the three armies, annihilated the Northern Rong, Western Chu, and Xianbei, and nearly unified the country. This ring is comparable to a tiger talisman. It was once recorded that whoever possesses this ring is like seeing Your Majesty in person!"

Professor Lu brought the ring to the students, and his voice was filled with passion, his fingers trembling.

"Oh shit! It really is! It's exactly like the jade ring described in the jade slip!"

"Many imitation jade rings have appeared before. Even if the workmanship is exquisite, it cannot change the fact that they are fakes. Some of the craftsmanship cannot be imitated now. And the color of the jade is obviously evolved over thousands of years. The color is different."

Several students exclaimed in amazement, impressed by the transparent carvings inside the ring.

"Is it as exaggerated as you say? You must be seeing things. It looks like an ordinary piece of jade to me."

Mr. Xin, who was standing next to them, couldn't help but speak when he saw how much they cherished the child's jade ring.

He couldn't help but have some doubts in his heart.

The thing this kid is carrying can’t be some antique.

"You question our teacher?"

"Do you know who our teacher is? He's a nationally renowned expert in ancient jade appraisal. He's also a former researcher at the National Museum of China, a professor at Peking University, and a deputy director of the Cultural Relics Bureau. If even our teacher isn't authoritative enough, how many other experts are there in the country?"

"If you don't believe it, just search it online yourself. Our teacher's name is Lu Yingzhou!" The student next to him was not convinced and retorted.

When Mr. Xin heard this name, his head exploded instantly.

He was a big figure who once shook up the archaeological world with his own efforts.

His wife took out her phone and said, "Just search it!"

Mr. Xin immediately grabbed her hand, twitched his lips, and smiled awkwardly.

"So it's really Professor Lu. I've had the pleasure of hearing your name at an auction before."

Lu Yingzhou waved his hand and said, "I don't deserve it."

"Uncle, is this jade ring of Ruanruan valuable?"

Ruanruan didn't understand what they were talking about. She just felt that since they cherished her jade ring so much, it must be very expensive.
