Chapter 149 Taking Photos in the Ancient City

The next day, Lu Fangfang got up very early.

Taking advantage of the time she had in the morning, she planned to go with her fiancé to try the local specialty breakfast in the provincial capital.

After washing her face, she went to Zhuang Mingcheng's room, but after searching around, she couldn't find her fiancé.

"Where did this person go so early in the morning? He didn't even tell me."

Lu Fangfang scratched her head and could only sit in the room and wait.

More than half an hour later, just as she was getting impatient, Zhuang Mingcheng returned from outside carrying a black box.

Lu Fangfang's gaze was immediately drawn to the black box on his chest.

She hurriedly stepped forward, leaned close to Zhuang Mingcheng's chest, and began to examine him closely.

The black box has the word "Seagull" written in white on a black background. Below it are two lenses, one large and one small. There is also a hand crank on the side and a top-down viewfinder. It looks very advanced.

"Mingcheng, where did you get this camera?"

Lu Fangfang was pleasantly surprised.

“I went to the military region’s propaganda department early this morning, said a lot of nice things, and even put my work ID as collateral, and finally managed to borrow it.”

Seeing that his fiancée liked it, Zhuang Mingcheng took the camera and hung it around her neck.

Zhuang Mingcheng took out two rolls of film from his pocket and said with a smile, "I only have two rolls of film. Each roll can take twelve photos. Today you can let me take twenty-four photos for you."

"You like the ancient city gates of the provincial capital, right? Take some pictures there, and also at Dongfanghong Square. You should take some pictures there too. You've come all to the provincial capital, so you should leave some souvenirs."

Lu Fangfang nodded vigorously, touching the camera hanging around her neck, looking very happy.

She really wanted to document this era, but it was a pity she could only shoot for one day. It would have been even better if she could have taken the photos to the family compound and captured the scenery of the grasslands.

There are also wildflowers, wild donkeys, marmots, Tibetan foxes, white-lipped deer, Pallas's cats, and more on the grasslands...

Once she gets the tickets, she's determined to buy her own camera and photograph the entire grassland.

After a moment of stunned silence, she held the camera with both hands, mimicking a professional pose, and aimed it at Zhuang Mingcheng. Then she looked down at the viewfinder at the very top of the camera.

Zhuang Mingcheng's figure appeared in the viewfinder, but it was upside down.

"That's really advanced."

Lu Fangfang realized that she had underestimated this era; she never expected that even a camera would be so technologically advanced.

She went back inside to get her cloth bag, then pulled Zhuang Mingcheng along to the nearest Dongfanghong Square.

Standing under the statue of the Chairman, Lu Fangfang straightened up, smiled, and asked Zhuang Mingcheng to take a picture of her.

"Click."

"How did the filming go?"

Lu Fangfang hurriedly ran to him and took a closer look.

"Don't worry, I've learned how to use a camera before, so the photos will definitely turn out great."

Zhuang Mingcheng patted his chest solemnly and made a solemn vow.

He just pressed the shutter in the viewfinder when his fiancée looked her best, so the photo must be amazing.

Lu Fangfang felt slightly relieved.

She asked Zhuang Mingcheng to teach her how to use the camera, intending to take a picture of him as well.

"Smile, Comrade Zhuang Mingcheng, smile, yes, keep it up."

Lu Fangfang looked down at the viewfinder, took two steps back, and then pressed the shutter.

"Click".

Seeing an elderly man doing his morning exercises in the square, the two of them gave him a few simple instructions and then decided to take a group photo.

"Comrades, come closer, even closer."

Lu Fangfang glanced at Zhuang Mingcheng and moved closer to him.

Zhuang Mingcheng was the same; the two of them stood close together.

In the distance, the old man nodded before looking through the viewfinder.

In the camera's viewfinder, the two were dressed in military uniforms. The man was tall and slender, and the woman was fair-skinned and beautiful. They were a perfect match. The old man secretly praised them and then pressed the shutter.

"Click".

The two thanked the old man and then left with their camera.

They were so busy taking photos that they didn't even have time to eat breakfast.

They found a crowded state-run restaurant and the two of them ate a bowl of authentic beef noodles.

Next, the two started filming in the provincial capital.

Lu Fangfang doesn't like things that are too modern, so she always looks for ancient buildings to photograph.

In those days, there were many beautiful ancient buildings in the provincial capital.

Of course, you can't just photograph the buildings; you have to include people in the shots too.

They had two rolls of film, and the two of them cherished them, not going to the ancient city gate by the Yellow River in the provincial capital until the afternoon.

Inside the city gate, people came and went, and traffic police were on duty, making it quite lively.

Lu Fangfang stood on the Yellow River Iron Bridge and waited for a while until there were fewer people before running to the city gate to take a panoramic photo.

"Zhuang Mingcheng, step back a bit."

Zhuang Mingcheng, holding the camera, took two steps back.

"Step back a bit more, I want you to capture the entire city gate tower in the photo, as well as the ancient city walls on both sides."

Zhuang Mingcheng could only follow his fiancée's instructions and retreat step by step until he finally reached the Yellow River Iron Bridge.

This kind of photo can capture the entire city gate tower, and even the tall city wall stretching along the Yellow River in the distance. However, in the viewfinder, he couldn't even see his fiancée's face clearly; she looked very small.

He quickly ran over and told Lu Fangfang what was going on.

"It's okay, go ahead and take the pictures. I'm secondary. The main thing is to take pictures of the city gate. If we don't take them now, we won't be able to next time we come."

Lu Fangfang looked back and felt it was a great pity.

The ancient city wall built along the Yellow River, using the Yellow River as a moat, is unique in the whole country. If it could be preserved, it would attract many tourists in the future.
