Chapter 161 Tender Moments on the Grassland

"Giddy up!"

Zhuang Mingcheng gripped the reins, held Lu Fangfang in his arms, and rode his chestnut horse toward the largest snow-capped mountain in the south.

That's Gona, the snow-capped mountain that my wife and Lao Xu climbed.

"Giddy up!"

Zhuang Mingcheng felt a little resentful, so he lashed out with his whip.

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey followed behind.

Don't let its small size fool you, it runs quite fast and keeps up very closely.

Half an hour later, they arrived at a meadow full of small yellow flowers.

The towering snow-capped mountains stood before them.

It's almost June now, and there's not much snow left on the mountains; there's only some left in shady areas.

Zhuang Mingcheng looked at it, sighed, and felt a little regretful.

Lu Fangfang was in a pretty good mood.

She dismounted, released the small flower from her arms, bent down to pick a small yellow flower, and gently sniffed it.

This pasture had been grazed by horses from the Sixth Team and the Regiment, but after half a month, the grass that had been grazed has grown back and looks even fresher.

The little wild donkey and the chestnut horse stopped and immediately began to graze.

The lake that used to be there is still there at the foot of the snow-capped mountains south of the grassland. The water in it now must have flowed down from the snow-capped mountains, and it looks very clear.

Lu Fangfang took a few steps forward and found a gentle slope to sit down.

She grabbed a handful of grass, rubbed it a few times, and sniffed it. The scent of fresh grass surrounded her nose, which smelled very pleasant.

"Meow~"

Xiao Hua let out a howl towards the snow mountain, then took a step and lay down next to Lu Fangfang.

"You lazybones, aren't you hungry? Hurry up and catch a pika to eat, or I won't hit you today."

Lu Fangfang stroked Xiaohua's head and smiled as she applied the grass juice in her hand to its fur.

Summer is almost here, and this little guy is shedding a bit, just like a cat.

"Meow~"

Little Flower, with her belly exposed, nuzzled closer to Lu Fangfang, completely unconcerned about the makeup she was applying.

These days, it misses its owner terribly.

Beneath the snow-capped mountains, in front of a small lake, on a meadow covered with yellow wildflowers, a human and a leopard frolic and play.

Zhuang Mingcheng, leading his horse, smiled upon seeing this scene.

He casually released the chestnut horse, strode over, and sat down next to his lover.

He reached out and put his arm around his lover's waist.

They are a family of three, that makes sense.

"Meow~"

Little Flower, her belly exposed, arched her back and nestled between the two of them.

It stretched out its claws and pawed at Zhuang Mingcheng's legs, trying to separate the two.

"Rebellious son!"

Zhuang Mingcheng frowned, picked it up, and threw it away.

"Meow~"

Xiao Hua immediately got up, baring her teeth and yelling angrily at Zhuang Mingcheng.

"Pfft."

Lu Fangfang was almost dying of joy because of these two guys.

This man and leopard are really quite naive.

She was laughing when she suddenly saw a pika by the lake, peeking out and looking in her direction.

Lu Fangfang quickly picked up Xiaohua and pointed towards the lake, saying, "Xiaohua, it's up to you now."

Little Flower immediately stopped chirping. It glanced at Zhuang Mingcheng, then crawled slowly forward.

"Squeak, squeak."

The pika wasn't afraid when it saw the snow leopard; it continued to peer around curiously.

Snow leopards are not among their natural enemies.

People usually eat argali and goats; these animals are so small, they're not even enough to fill a tooth gap, it's a complete waste of energy.

Unfortunately for the little rabbit, it encountered an unusual snow leopard today.

The little flower climbed closer and closer, but the pika continued to nibble on the little yellow flower without running away.

Once she was close enough, Little Flower leaped toward the pika, and in mid-air, she opened her mouth.

Too fast! Little Flower's speed is just too fast! The pika was startled and had barely turned around when Little Flower bit it.

"Squeak~"

Little Flower proudly placed her captured prey in front of Lu Fangfang.

"Wow, my little flower is really amazing, so amazing."

Lu Fangfang stroked the little flower's head all the way to its big tail, praising it profusely.

She took out the dagger from her waist, cut off the pika's head, and then gave the pika to Little Flower.

"Meow~"

Xiao Hua called out to Zhuang Mingcheng proudly before lowering her head to eat.

"Catching a little mouse, you'd think you'd caught a goat."

Zhuang Mingcheng pursed his lips. He looked around and saw a pika nibbling on grass in the meadow to the east.

"Fangfang, can I borrow your air gun for a moment?"

Lu Fangfang smiled and shook her head, then handed him the air gun.

This man is sometimes like a child, even trying to outdo a snow leopard cub.

Zhuang Mingcheng loaded the lead bullets, raised the air gun, aligned the three points, aimed at the pika in the distance, and then pulled the trigger.

"Smack."

The little rabbit flew away, kicked its legs, and then stopped moving.

"Little Flower, go and bring the pika over."

Xiao Hua kept her head down and ate, completely ignoring Zhuang Mingcheng.

"Rebellious son!"

Having no other choice, Zhuang Mingcheng got up and picked it up himself.

Lu Fangfang was overjoyed. She took a dagger, cut off the pika's head, dug out the lead bullet, and then gave the pika to Xiaohua.

This little guy eats very simply; two pikas are enough to fill him up. He doesn't even thank Zhuang Mingcheng; he just lies on the grass, licking the fur on his paws.

Lu Fangfang touched the little flower.

Looking at the small yellow flowers covering the meadow, she hugged her head with both hands and lay down.

"That's great."

Beside him, Zhuang Mingcheng also lay down next to his lover.

A few white clouds drifted in the blue sky. He watched them for a while, then propped his head up and looked at his lover.
