Aunt Guo went to her private plot and cut some sweet potato vines for Lu Fangfang.
Her family planted sweet potatoes early, and now the vines have grown quite large.
Lu Fangfang didn't stay long. After thanking him a few times, she took the sweet potato vines and left with Zhuang Mingcheng.
On the way, she still felt uneasy.
Zhuang Mingcheng glanced at his lover and said, "I'll go to Hairang tomorrow."
"Where are you going?" Lu Fangfang was taken aback.
Zhuang Mingcheng shook his head and said nothing more. Men's matters are beyond a lover's understanding.
"Don't bully Old Xu. He's been sent down here, and he's not eating or sleeping well. You saw the little dilapidated mud house we just saw. He's already suffered enough."
Don't worry.
Zhuang Mingcheng felt a pang of jealousy upon hearing this.
He grabbed his lover's waist and lifted her onto the horse.
"Little Flower, come here."
"Meow~"
Xiaohua walked over reluctantly.
Zhuang Mingcheng snorted coldly, picked up Xiaohua, threw her to his lover, and then mounted his horse.
"Giddy up!"
Carrying his lover's air rifle, Zhuang Mingcheng was still unwilling to give up, so he wandered around the nearby grassland.
Lu Fangfang ate a pancake at Aunt Guo's house and is no longer hungry.
She sat in front, rubbing the little flower, and asked curiously, "Mingcheng, what are you wandering around for?"
"Looking for rabbits."
"Looking for rabbits? Okay."
After a while, seeing that Zhuang Mingcheng was still wandering around nearby, Lu Fangfang handed Xiaohua to Zhuang Mingcheng, took the reins, and rode off on horseback.
"Giddy up!"
Zhuang Mingcheng had one arm around his lover's waist and the other holding Xiaohua.
Where are you taking me?
"Tupo Ridge, there are many small animals over there, maybe even rabbits."
Lu Fangfang nudged the horse's belly with her heel, and the chestnut horse immediately sped up a bit.
Soon, she rode her horse with Zhuang Mingcheng in tow and arrived at a small earthen slope to the north.
"Whoa~"
If you keep walking forward, you'll reach the location of that family of groundhogs.
"Ah...ah..."
"Ah...ah..."
"Mingcheng, this is going to be good."
Lu Fangfang handed the reins to Zhuang Mingcheng, then picked up Xiaohua and started eating melon.
The two arrived at a convenient time; in front of a distant earthen slope, two ground squirrels were choking each other, yelling "Ah ah!"
Nearby, two or three ground squirrels were peeking out and looking around.
Indeed, being a gossipmonger is in the nature of all living things.
"Ah...ah..."
"Ah...ah..."
Two groundhogs were choking each other, neither able to defeat the other.
Just as the two groundhogs were locked in a stalemate, a smaller groundhog emerged from a burrow on one side. It immediately ran forward and helped one groundhog fight the other.
Soon, the lone groundhog was at a disadvantage.
"Hehe, Mingcheng, those two groundhogs are definitely a couple. How could this lone groundhog possibly beat two of them?"
Lu Fangfang really regretted not having any sunflower seeds in her pocket; she was laughing so hard at what she saw.
Little Flower tilted her head back and stared curiously in that direction.
"Um?"
Seeing Zhuang Mingcheng raise the air gun behind her, she quickly pressed the button.
"They were fighting peacefully, why did you take out a gun?"
"Let's catch one and eat it."
"You've eaten this stuff? It's full of germs. You're really something, daring to eat this stuff."
Lu Fangfang looked disgusted.
Looking at Zhuang Mingcheng's mouth, she felt that this man was no longer a good match.
"No...no, there are soldiers in the regiment who are really craving it and have eaten it before."
“Zhuang Mingcheng, let me tell you, the plague is no small matter. If even one case is found, our entire regiment will be in danger. You can’t let the soldiers eat it anymore.”
Lu Fangfang remembered seeing a news report about a couple who contracted the plague after eating marmots, leading to the lockdown of several nearby counties.
"Okay, when I get back to the regiment, I'll tell them not to eat it."
Zhuang Mingcheng scratched his head and quickly agreed.
While the two were talking, the two groups of groundhogs had already decided who would win.
The single groundhog, no match for the couple, turned and fled in terror.
"Ah...ah..."
"Ah...ah..."
The two victorious groundhogs looked up and squealed.
"Meow~"
As soon as the little flower stirred, it turned its head to look at the grass beside it.
"Um?"
Lu Fangfang, riding on her horse, could see far and wide, and she spotted the guy crouching in the bushes.
'What a rascal! It's treating the whole colony of groundhogs like a buffet!'
Lu Fangfang touched the little flower and stared intently into the distance.
In the thicket of grass, a Tibetan fox was watching the two victorious groundhogs.
"rub!"
"ah……"
The Tibetan fox suddenly rushed out and bit the small marmot.
The groundhog had just finished fighting and was exhausted. Before it knew it, it was killed by the fox.
"Mingcheng, hurry up and catch up. I want to see where this old sixth brother lives."
Zhuang Mingcheng stared in disbelief.
These little animals fighting is really exciting.
Upon hearing his lover's words, he quickly steered his chestnut horse to follow the Tibetan fox.
After running for a while, he suddenly asked curiously, "What does 'Old Six' mean?"
Forehead……
"They lack martial ethics and launch sneak attacks."
"Disregarding martial ethics?"
...
The Tibetan fox in front, carrying a groundhog, spotted the two people following behind.
It circled around in circles, and seeing that it couldn't shake them off, it resigned itself to its fate and led the two people and the horse back to its cave.
