Chapter 295 Dragging the Bear

"One, two, three, push!"

The two pushed the big bear directly down the hillside.

The body of the bear tumbled and rolled until it finally stopped moving at the bottom of the hillside.

"Mingcheng, keep an eye on it with the gun, lest it misbehave."

Lu Fangfang glanced at the snow leopard and slowly began to untie the ropes on its legs.

"Meow~"

The snow leopard rolled over and finally stood up.

It shook its fur, then lay down again, quietly watching the two people in front of it.

"Hmph, you're smart to know your place."

Lu Fangfang clapped her hands, quite satisfied with the snow leopard's attitude.

She pointed to the remaining bear entrails and said to the snow leopard, "These things are yours. Whether you can guard them or not is up to you. Just don't let other wild animals steal them."

The bear was so big that it took out more than 100 pounds of internal organs, and most of them were still left.

Since she couldn't take it back anyway, Lu Fangfang simply gave it to the snow leopard as payment for the argali meat from last time.

"Mingcheng, let's go."

"Little Flower, Little Yellow Dog, Little Stubborn Donkey, come on, let's go home."

Lu Fangfang called out, and dragged the wooden frame made of spruce wood down the hillside.

Zhuang Mingcheng stayed by his wife's side, helping to pull her along.

"Awoo~"

"Oh...ah..."

The little Tibetan fox and the little wild donkey followed behind the two, leaving only the little flower on the hillside.

"Meow~"

Little Flower walked up to the snow leopard, looked up at it, and called out.

The snow leopard lowered its head and licked Little Flower's head twice, showing no intention of leaving.

The Great Snow Mountain is its true home.

Little Flower looked at it again, then turned and ran down the mountain.

"Meow...meow!"

The snow leopard couldn't help but take a few steps forward and call out to Little Flower.

Seeing that Xiaohua had walked away, it turned around and walked to the bear's internal organs.

It ate enough earlier and isn't hungry now.

It looked around cautiously, then slowly lay down and stood guard in front of its internal organs, licking its paws.

...

"At least you have a conscience."

Down the hillside, Lu Fangfang turned around and saw Xiao Hua following her, and couldn't help but let out a soft hum.

Beside him, Zhuang Mingcheng smiled and shook his head. He took out a few blue berries and handed them to his wife, saying, "Try them. They taste sweet and sour, and they're quite delicious."

Where did it come from?

Lu Fangfang put it in her mouth, chewed it, and nodded involuntarily.

"We picked them from the bushes on the hillside. The little wild donkey ate quite a few of them just now. They're not poisonous. Next time we come, we'll pick more and dry them to eat as snacks."

As they talked, the two walked to Xiong Ba at the foot of the hill.

After setting up the wooden frame, the two pushed Xiong Ba up little by little.

"Little stubborn donkey, come here, it's your turn to put in the effort."

Lu Fangfang called out and then put the rope made of vines around the donkey's neck.

This bear is too big; even a small wild donkey can't pull it.

There were two more vines, which the two of them wrapped around themselves.

"One, two, three, you stubborn little donkey, pull!"

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey brayed and put all its strength into eating bear meat.

With the help of one donkey and two people, the wooden frame slowly began to move, but it seemed to be a lot of work.

Seeing this, Xiao Hua and the little Tibetan fox also ran behind the wooden frame and started pushing it.

Fortunately, it was downhill and there was plenty of grass in the woods, otherwise we really wouldn't have been able to catch this bear.

After a while, Zhuang Mingcheng wiped his sweat and quickly called to his wife.

"No, no, Fangfang, wait here for a moment, I'll go and bring the chestnut horse over, this is too much effort."

"Okay...okay, go ahead."

Lu Fangfang was panting, she was exhausted, and she nodded quickly.

Be careful.

Zhuang Mingcheng left all the blue berries he had picked to his wife, then quickly walked out of the woods.

After a long while, he finally returned, leading his chestnut horse.

With the help of a donkey, a horse, two people, a snow leopard, and a Tibetan fox, they managed to drag the wild bear to the grassland outside the forest.

Once outside, the two rested for a while before slowly moving the bear onto the donkey cart.

This made things much easier; the chestnut horse and the little wild donkey pulled the cart, and the two of them followed behind.

On the way, Zhuang Mingcheng glanced at the wild bear on the donkey cart, then turned to look at his wife, and said helplessly:

"You're really something, daring to fight a bear with Xiaohua. If I hadn't come, how would you have gotten such a big bear back home?"

"I didn't know it was this big bear that hurt Xiaohua. If all else fails, I'll go back and call for help."

Lu Fangfang wiped away her sweat, experiencing firsthand the troubles of having too much fat.

This big bear must be fattening up for winter; its body is all fat. She estimated that if she were to render bear oil, she could get at least several hundred pounds of it.

She had read in a medical book that bear oil was also a medicinal ingredient that could replenish deficiencies, strengthen muscles and bones, and moisturize the skin—it was a good thing.

She touched the large bear paw and grinned foolishly again, "Mingcheng, do you know how to make this bear paw?"

Hmm...

Zhuang Mingcheng nodded. Bears weren't uncommon in the Qilian Mountains; he had actually seen others do it before.

"I'll make it for you when we get back, but it's a lot of work, it takes a long time to stew, so it won't be ready until tomorrow at the earliest."

Upon hearing this, Lu Fangfang became even more excited.

"Are you hungry? How about I cut off some bear meat and grill some for you?"

Zhuang Mingcheng looked up and saw that it was getting late after all that work.

"Forget it, stop busying yourself. Let's have a good meal when we get back tonight."

The two followed behind the donkey cart, slowly making their way back.

When they got tired, they called to the stubborn little donkey and the chestnut horse to rest for a while before continuing.

By the time we were almost on the main road in the village, it was already past three in the afternoon.

...

On the dirt road east of the stream, Wang Shufen clenched her hands, anxiously looking towards the grassland to the north.

"Oh dear, the girl is such a worry, and Xiao Zhuang is unreliable too. Can he find a girl by himself? No way. If he doesn't come back soon, I'll have to go and tell the regiment."

Just as she was feeling anxious, she suddenly discovered something.

Rubbing her eyes, she slapped her thigh and exclaimed excitedly, "Oh my, those troublesome couple are finally back!"

Upon closer inspection, Wang Shufen suddenly froze, "My goodness, what... what is that dark thing in the car?"
