Chapter 383 The Little Wild Donkey with Wide Circles

"this……"

Beside her, Zhao Lanying stared in shock, her mouth agape.

The little yellow dog the girl was talking about is really amazing; catching mice and rabbits is like child's play for it.

She realized then that Little Yellow's size was perfect for catching pikas; its slender body allowed it to squeeze directly into the pika burrows under the woodpile, leaving the pikas nowhere to run.

Beside them, Little Flower and Little Tibetan Fox looked at each other and suddenly lost their spirits.

They had been busy all morning and only caught one pika, which was not even as fast as this little guy in a short while. It was really disheartening.

Seeing this, Zhao Lanying smiled, squatted down, and comforted the two of them.

Once back in the incubation room, she quickly told the two of them what she had just witnessed.

"It dares to come in during the day, it's really not afraid of people."

Lu Fangfang was also somewhat surprised to hear this.

It seems this weasel is quite bold.

After a while, the three of them started incubating all two thousand quail eggs.

After finishing her work, Wang Shufen went home. She had to stay in the incubator tonight and needed to get some rest.

"Xiao Lu, keep an eye on the temperature. I'm going to the shed to feed the quails."

"Sister-in-law, you go ahead."

Lu Fangfang nodded. She reached under the quilt to feel the quail eggs, then glanced at the thermometer.

Seeing that everything was normal, she pushed open the door and went out.

In the courtyard, Little Flower and Little Tibetan Fox lay under the shade of a tree, panting heavily.

They spent the whole morning catching only two pikas; they really couldn't catch the ones at the very back of the woodpile.

"Alright, you two can go play on the meadow later. Leave the pika in the yard to Little Yellow, so it won't go hungry."

Lu Fangfang squatted down and patted the heads of Xiaohua and the little Tibetan fox.

Everyone has their own expertise, so she shouldn't make things difficult for the little one at home.

"Awoo~"

"Meow~"

Little Flower and Little Tibetan Fox stood up, shook themselves, and then ran outside.

After a gloomy morning, they need to go out for a run to cheer themselves up.

Seeing this, Lu Fangfang smiled and shook her head.

She glanced at the incubation room, then went to the breeding shed and helped Sister Lan Ying for a while.

After finishing her work and having nothing else to do, she took her drawing board and went to the meadow outside.

Walking to the southwest corner of the farm, she looked down but saw no movement in the hole. Little Yellow should be eating pikas right now.

After watching for a while, seeing that Xiao Huang still didn't come out, she took her drawing board to the side, sat down, and started drawing a picture book.

...

On the grassland not far away, when Da Niu saw Lu Fangfang come out, she picked up her cloth bag and walked over quickly.

She sat down next to her aunt, craning her neck to look intently.

Lu Fangfang turned her head and glanced at her, unable to help but smile.

This little girl has even stopped picking grass seeds; she's come all this way to watch me paint. Looks like she wants to learn.

She didn't say anything, letting Da Niu watch, but she slowed down her drawing a bit.

Beside her, the young woman hesitated for a moment before making up her mind.

She pulled the cloth bag over, took out a small notebook from it, and then took out half a pencil from her pocket.

Looking at Lu Fangfang's drawings, she picked up a pencil and started learning from them in her notebook.

"Hey girl, do you want to learn to draw?"

The girl blushed instantly and nodded somewhat shyly.

Lu Fangfang smiled. This little girl is still so young, it's not a bad thing for her to learn more.

“Girl, it’s good that you want to learn to draw, but don’t try to draw like me at first. You should draw the world as you see it, observe it yourself, and draw according to your own interests.”

As she spoke, she looked around.

On the distant grassland, Little Flower and the little Tibetan fox were nowhere to be seen; only the little wild donkey was grazing.

"Little stubborn donkey, come here."

Lu Fangfang stood up and waved to the distance.

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey turned its head and glanced at her, thinking there was something good to eat. It wagged its little tail and immediately ran towards her.

“Girl, take a close look at the little wild donkey and draw it like it. You see, it’s much more realistic than my drawing.”

The girl nodded, looking a little confused.

She didn't quite understand what her aunt was saying, but she was sure her aunt was right.

She stood up, took her notebook and pencil, and looked at the little wild donkey running towards her.

"Hey? Auntie, look! There's something on Little Stubborn Donkey's head, it looks like... it looks like Little Yellow."

"Little Huang?"

Lu Fangfang was startled. She looked up and, sure enough, saw a yellow figure on the little wild donkey's head.

She was stunned when she saw this.

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey stopped when it was still five or six meters away from Lu Fangfang.

It glanced at her hand, and seeing that she had nothing in it, it walked forward dejectedly.

On the donkey's head, the weasel stood upright, looking at the two of them curiously.

"You stubborn little donkey, did you already know Little Yellow a long time ago?"

Lu Fangfang stroked her chin and circled the little wild donkey.

To be honest, the scene was a bit scary. Luckily, Xiao Huang is very cute. If it had been a weasel, she would have been terrified.

On the donkey's head opposite her, a weasel twisted its body and kept staring at her.

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey brayed and lowered its head, and the weasel took the opportunity to jump onto the grassland.

Without lingering, it took off in a flash.

The little wild donkey turned its head to look, then wagged its little tail and nuzzled against her arm.

"You big glutton, you really have a wide circle of friends, why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"By the way, you didn't ask Xiao Huang to move here, did you? Good donkey, really good donkey. If you're so capable, bring a few more here, preferably a Pallas's rabbit."

Lu Fangfang stroked the donkey's head, still in shock.

The little wild donkey at home, without making a sound, really showed off its skills.

Looking west, I saw that Little Yellow had already crawled into the hole.

Patting the donkey's head, she said with a smile, "Little stubborn donkey, you talk to Little Yellow and tell him not to be afraid of me."

"Oh...ah..."

The little wild donkey nudged into her cloth bag.

Lu Fangfang was amused. She took out a small portion of sunflower seeds and stuffed them into the donkey's mouth.

"You big glutton, you'll have to do me a favor after you eat."

"Big girl, just draw it like the stubborn donkey. Show it to me when you're done."

Lu Fangfang clapped her hands, sat down, and started drawing in her comic book again.

She's getting more familiar with it now, and she's drawing much faster.

Sometimes she doesn't even need to make a draft before she can start drawing. At her current pace, she should be able to finish it by the beginning of October.
