"Safflower? Safflower?"
"Sister Fangfang?"
Inside the guesthouse, Zhang Honghua's eyes lit up.
She turned to look at Xiao Liu and said smugly, "Xiao Liu, my sister is here to pick me up. Now I can go out, right?"
Xiao Liu didn't even look up; he simply waved his hand.
He secretly rejoiced that his sister-in-law had finally arrived; if he hadn't gotten rid of that red flower soon, he himself would have wanted to leave.
"snort."
Zhang Honghua gave a light snort, pushed open the door, and strode out.
Looking around, she was a little surprised. This place didn't seem any different from her hometown village.
"Sister Fangfang, you've finally come to pick me up! Should I go back to get my luggage? Sister, I'll stay at your house tonight."
"No need, no need, Honghua, I'll take you to see some nice things today, come on up."
Lu Fangfang waved and called the person onto the donkey cart.
This red flower looks so energetic; she plans to take this person out for a walk to keep him from causing trouble in the group.
"Sister Fangfang, what's so interesting?"
"You'll see when we get there; it's a treasure of the Qilian Mountains."
Lu Fangfang spoke in a very mysterious tone, patted the donkey's rump, and called to the little wild donkey as they walked back.
Once we left the troupe and arrived at the gate of the family compound, Xiuxiu was already waiting with her things.
Lu Fangfang waved her hand and called Xiuxiu onto the donkey cart.
"Sis, why is she going too?"
Xiuxiu looked at Zhang Honghua with disgust.
"Honghua has come all this way to Qilian Mountain, so we should let her see as much as possible so she doesn't have any regrets."
Zhang Honghua sat to the side, oblivious to the underlying meaning, and instead quite pleased with herself.
Xiuxiu is going too; she must be going to see something good.
"That's right, Fangfang is also my own sister, Xiuxiu, don't be jealous of me."
"I'm jealous of you? I..."
Lu Fangfang quickly patted Xiuxiu to calm her down.
"snort."
Xiuxiu turned her head to the side, not wanting to look at the red flower anymore.
My sister said she'd send this red flower back the day after tomorrow, and we'll see how pleased she is then.
The donkey cart swayed and wobbled, and soon arrived at the front of the farm.
Lu Fangfang took out a silver whistle, blew it a few times, and then went into the breeding farm and took out a Type 56 semi-automatic rifle.
He handed the new light bulb to Sister-in-law Lan Ying, gave her a few more instructions, and then went out with his gun on his back.
Just then, on the distant grassland, Xiao Hua and the little Tibetan fox were running towards them, which startled Zhang Honghua on the donkey cart.
"Oh my god, Fangfang, look! A wolf! A wolf is coming! A wolf is coming!"
She shouted as she jumped off the donkey cart and hid directly behind Lu Fangfang.
At the breeding farm, Zhao Lanying was startled when she heard the noise.
She picked up a thick wooden stick and strode outside. "Wolves? Where did these wolves come from?"
"South...in the fields to the south."
Zhang Honghua spoke in a panic as she pushed open the gate of the breeding farm, intending to hide inside, when she was met by Zhao Lanying holding a wooden stick.
She stared blankly at the strong woman, and suddenly felt a sense of security.
"Wolves? These aren't wolves, they're just Little Flower and Little Yellow Dog!"
Zhao Lanying turned around and looked at Zhang Honghua with obvious disgust.
"Awoo~"
"Meow~"
At this moment, Xiao Hua and the little Tibetan fox also ran over.
The two of them circled around Lu Fangfang, then turned their heads to look curiously at Zhang Honghua.
“Honghua, these are not wolves, they are snow leopards and Tibetan foxes, all raised by me, so you don’t need to be afraid.”
Lu Fangfang patted the two little ones' heads and then said to Zhang Honghua with a smile.
Snow leopard? Tibetan fox?
Zhang Honghua stared blankly at the two little ones, her mind a jumbled mess.
Fangfang raised a leopard that's even more powerful than a wolf?
this……
"Honghua? You're Zhang Honghua?"
Zhao Lanying looked Zhang Honghua up and down and couldn't help but let out a soft snort.
So this is Zhang Honghua, whom the girl asked her to send away. She's quite pretty, but her mind is too crooked.
"Aunt...Auntie, I...I am Honghua."
Zhang Honghua swallowed hard and subconsciously took a step back.
She sensed that the burly woman wasn't treating her well.
"Honghua, come on up, let's go."
Wearing a military overcoat, Lu Fangfang sat back on the donkey cart and then waved to Zhang Honghua.
Zhang Honghua avoided the burly woman who was rude to her, walked a semicircle, and then returned to the donkey cart.
After a while, once the donkey cart started moving, she looked back and saw that the strong woman was still standing at the door, holding a wooden stick and staring at her coldly.
"Sister Fangfang, who...who is that person?"
"Oh, that's Sister Lan Ying, she's also here to join the army."
Seeing how afraid Zhang Honghua was of Sister-in-law Lan Ying, Lu Fangfang almost laughed. It seemed she had found the right person.
She patted the donkey's rump, urging the little wild donkey to speed up.
Soon, the donkey cart carried the group across the stream and headed to the grasslands to the northeast.
At that moment, the sky suddenly darkened and the wind picked up again.
Lu Fangfang was wearing a military overcoat and a big cotton hat, but she didn't feel cold at all.
Beside her, Xiuxiu was all bundled up and wearing thick clothes. As for Xiaohua and the little Tibetan fox, they were running around the cart and weren't cold at all. On the donkey cart, only Zhang Honghua was dressed the least.
"Fang... Sister Fangfang, where are you taking me?"
Zhang Honghua had her hands tucked inside her pockets, and the tip of her nose was red from the cold. She was still wearing autumn clothes, and she felt like she was freezing to the bone.
Seeing that the surrounding environment was becoming increasingly desolate, she began to regret coming out with them.
